18: jealous devil

ORION

Woman thinks she can get rid of me that easily. Why did she agree to have dinner with that assface in the first place? Paano kung puro mani pala ang ipapakain nito sa kanya? Stupid woman did not even consider that!

I watched her get her phone from her fancy bag. No, hindi iyon ang normal bag niya kapag papasok. It was a small bag which matched her white dress.

WHAT.

She even bothered to dress up! Normally, her ass is wrapped in her boring jeans topped with a sweatshirt— so ugly that makes an incubus retire. Pero ngayon? She wore a pretty white dress that hug her body well enough to make me notice her shape.

WHY.THE.FUCK.IS.SHE.DRESSING.UP.LIKE.THIS?

Nilingon niya ako at tila hindi natuwa. Well, she should keep that up because I will stick with her the more she hates my presence.

SHE.EVEN.PUT.ON.SOME.MAKEUP! THE FUCK!!!

I could go and flip a bitch! I need to snap some neck! The nearest I could go is her— but no, surely she would not allow me to even touch her, more so break her neck. How about that assface who will treat us for dinner? On a second thought, not him either. If I snap his neck, sino na lamang ang manlilibre sa amin ng hapunan?

May namataan akong mga tao sa paligid, but that would cause me some problems so I decided to go back to my empire for a while.

"I have somewhere to go to," paalam ko kay Angel. She was busy with her phone at panay lingon sa paligid na tila ba may hinahanap. "I'll be back."

"What?" I snarled at the demon on the gates of hell. I broke his neck and oh, I think I overdid it. See, hindi lamang leeg ang nabali sa kanya kundi lahat ng buto sa katawan niya. "Oh shit, now there's a mess. SOMEBODY THROW THIS MESS SOMEWHERE FAR!"

My demon servants rushed towards me at agad na sinunod ang sinabi ko. I broke several other demons pero hindi pa rin mawala ang inis ko. What the fuck?

The ugly butler approached. "My lord, babalik ka na ba?"

I growled at him. "Why are you asking me that stupid question? Nawala ba ako?"

He knew better than get on my bad side. "Ipapahanda ko ang iyong silid—"

"No need, aalis din naman ako. Get me a fucking demon who had the most sturdy neck so I can break it over and over."

He looked confused, as always. "Pero my lord—"

"Do you want me to break yours?"

The ugly butler bowed. "I'll send them right away."

He disappeared through the flames samantalang naiwan naman ako roon. Paulit-ulit na bumabalik sa alaala ko ang kurba sa katawan ni Angel. Damn woman has so much curve that makes me so angry! And that makeup! I do remebered getting hypnotized watching her put on that lipstick. Tila mabagal ang oras nang pinanuod ko siya sa ginagawa. Her lips slightly parted as she applied a damn stick that looked like a dog's penis.

Damn it.

I started throwing everything I see. I started smashing everything at hand's reach ngunit hindi pa rin mawala ang imaheng iyon sa isipan ko.

Who the fuck even thought of using lipstick? Somebody fucking tell me so I can kill that guy! Mas nakakainis pang isipin na ginawa niya iyon, for what? For that assface?

A growl echoed into the room, as well as the sound of crashing objects. No matter what I do, I cannot get rid of the thought. Should I snap assface's neck?

No, no that would be messy and he's most likely to end up in my place so how about a no? He must end up in heaven, somewhere away from me.

I rushed out the room to get back to the human realm. Hindi pa man ako nakakalayo ay dumating na ang butler, with an ugly looking demon.

"My lord, this demon has the best neck here in hell—"

"Forget it," I told him and disappeared. The next thing I know ay nasa labas na ako ng apartment ni Angel, but she was nowhere around.

What, don't tell me iniwan niya ako?

I grabbed the mirror from my pocket and ops, there she was, riding in that assface's car. I made devil noises before keeping the mirror in my pocket. I tried to find some change at pumara ng taxi.

So, that's it huh? Angel seemed to enjoy riding in that assface car? Nang may huminto na taxi sa harap ko ay agad akong sumakay at may sinabi na lugar. I pulled my phone in my pocket before calling the only number saved in it.

Tatlong ring ay sinagot agad iyon.

"Hey, I'm coming over in 10 minutes. I need a car, the most fancy one."

Pinatay ko ang tawag at sumandal, gently tapping my finger on the phone as I waited to arrive at my destination.

"Lucifer, welcome back," bati ni Emmanuel at ngumiti. His old wrinkled face lit up when he saw me. I bet if he hardly see that much. Sinalubong niya ako ng yakap and I just let him be.

"You look older than last time Emman," komento ko.

Pumasok kami sa lugar na napapaligiran ng napakataas na pader. Inside was his mansion, and his array of cars.

Tumawa siya. "Of course, it's been 13 years mula nang huli mo akong tinawagan. So, what brought you to the human realm?" Napaubo siya nang ilang beses at hinigpitan ang hawak sa dalang cane.

"Seriously, Emman? Look at you, old and pathetic. Ayaw mo ba talagang tanggapin ang offer ko? My blood works wonder, you know."

"Maraming salamat, Lucifer pero masaya ang buhay ko. It would be best to let it be at huwag ng dugtungan pa iyon," sagot niya.

Ah, same old Emmanuel Royales. I met him when he was young and he has nothing. With my wits and awesomeness, I told him I can make him the richest man in the world if he follows my advice. He did, and now his names is in shining lights kahit saang lupalop ng mundo.

I pouted. "I go by the name Orion now."

He nodded. "Orion. Cool."

"I am cool," I proudly said.

"Of course, you are," he said, followed by a series of coughing. "Pasensiya ka na, my health has been deteriorating. Sooner or later, babawiin na ng Diyos ang buhay ko—"

"Let's extend it. That way, Dad will be pissed. I like making him angry," I told him.

Emman chuckled. "Same old you."

"You are the old one." It pains me to see my human friend old and racing with time. But he was happy and he doesn't want me to meddle if dad decided to stop his breathing. At nirerespeto ko iyon. But can he just try to reconsider?

"So what do you need this car for?" tanong ni Emman.

"Nothing, I just needed to drive somewhere. My landlady seemed to like an assface with a car, so maybe it's the car that she likes, not that assface."

Tumawa si Emman na tila ba nakakatawa ang sinabi ko. Nakalatawa 'yon? Uh, could I snap his neck too?

"So, you're here because of a woman."

A woman?!

"She's hardly a woman. Ugly face, ugly wardrobe, ugly choice in men. Sa tingin mo magkakagusto ako sa katulad niya? Patawa ka, Emman," I replied, avoiding his eyes.

"I did not say magkakagusto ka sa kanya," Emman said. "But I think I know now. Your landlady, huh?"

"Her place is a trash! One single bed na napakaliit at matigas! Too liitle space that sometimes I have to sleep on the couch!"

Mas lalong natawa si Emman. "So, basically, she's not your landlady. You're more likely her freeloader."

"I beg to disagree, my presence itself ay hindi matatawaran. She's lucky I ended up in her place," sagot ko. "I am Lucifer, I am the king of hell, it's her greatest privilege to serve me."

"If you have so much complains, bakit hindi ka rito sa bahay ko? I can also give you the penthouse of a hotel, if you like."

I waived my hand in his face in refusal. "Nagsasawa na ako sa penthouse, and you know I don't like your place."

"Sa madaling salita ay gusto mong manatili sa lugar niya." Panay pa rin ang tawa niya bago inabot sa akin ang susi. "Seeing how you're all dressed up, I guess you have a dinner date."

"Yup, we're having dinner— a date?"

Tumango si Emman. "Yes a date, you asked her for dinner, did you? That's a date."

"THAT FUCKER ASSFACE WANTED TO DATE ANGEL?" My voice echoed on his estates.

Napatingin si Emman sa paligid, making sure I scared no servant around. "Calm down, Lucifer."

"NO THAT ASSFACE IS TAKING ANGEL TO A DATE HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO CALM DOWN?" I feel like growing horns with anger right now. That was a date? After... after I change my mind in killing him, he decided to date Angel?!

He should fucking drown in peanuts!

Emman cleared his throat before reaching for his pocket. "I don't exactly know what's going on, but I guess that's something major to see you like this." He handed me the black card he always give me if I visit the mortal realm. "Here, do it right."

I pressed the thing with the key at umilaw ang sasakyan. Well, like always, Emman doesn't disappoint. When I say give me the best, he always does.

I jumped into the car. "Thanks, Emman."

"My pleasure, Lucifer. Maikli na lang ang buhay ko, so please come by with that woman."

"I told you she's hardly a woman," sagot ko. "A woman could make one be aroused, she doesn't. She makes my dick wither."

"Whatever you say," Emman said, waiving as he watched me drove off. "Don't forget the flowers."

FAITH

I was glad Orion decided not to tag along. He said he had to go somewhere. Hindi ko alam bakit ba gustong-gusto niya akong guluhin, gaya kanina. He was pissed watching me get ready. I can hardly apply makeup on dahil masama ang tinging ipinupukol niya.

I think he was mad because I don't want him to tag along.

Sa dinami-rami ng tao sa mundo, bakit ako pa ang naisipan niyang guluhin?

"So I was saying, did you enjoy the food?" Narinig kong tanong ni Dean.

I immediately focused on him. Bakit ba si Orion na naman ang iniisip ko? I was here to enjoy with Dean, hindi upang isipin ang kawalanghiyaan ni Orion.

"Y-yes, yes it's good," nakangiting sagot ko. "Thank you for bringing me here. I heard mahirap ibook ang lugar na'to."

He smiled sweetly. "Well, anything for you, Faith. Actually, I invited you here hindi lamang upang humingi ng paumanhin sa pagbibigay sa 'yo ng mani, without considering anything."

"No, it's okay. I am not allergic, and I appreciate that gesture," mabilis na sabi ko.

He reached for my hand na nakapatong sa mesa. "I wanted to know you more, Faith."

Napatingin ako sa kamay niya, before pulling my hand away. I smiled at him at ibinaba ang kamay.

Nagpatuloy siya sa pagsasalita. "It took me a lot of courage to invite you here tonight. Matagal na kitang gustong makilala, Faith but I never did dahil alam kong nasa relasyon ka dati. Now, please give me the chance to get to know you better."

I reached for the champagne and chugged it. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang isasagot sa kanya. Am I ready to get to know other guys? I know I totally moved on from my previous relationship. Mahirap at akala ko ay hindi ko iyon kaya pero heto ako ngayon. No more holding on to the past.

Bago pa man ako makasagot ay biglang nagsigawan ang mga tao sa paligid. Nagkagulo at agad na nagsipagtakbuhan. When I looked outside, a car was rushing towards our direction. It was too late to move now and the glass was crashing everywhere. Napakabilis ng mga pangyayari na hindi man lamang kami nakatakbo ni Dean.

Bigla na lamang nabasag ang glass na dingding ng restaurant dahil sa pagbangga ng isang itim na sasakyan. The car made a loud screeching sound before parking just beside our table.

The car's roof retracted at nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang mapagtanto kung sino iyon.

"Wanna have dinner with me, Angel?" Orion asked with a toothy grin as he handed me a huge bouquet of flower.

Oh God, no.
