They stay outside til it gets dark. They had changed into something warmer. They sit on the grass with blankets and sitting by the fire pit. The fire lights up everyone's faces. They roast marshmallows. They sit there and talk. 

Astrid can see that Hiccup is for once, truly happy. Snotlout told her that he hardly ever smiled and never talked to anyone. He even said that it was his fault. He never told her what he did but that's fine with her. All she cares about is getting Hiccup the life he deserves.

They eventually go back inside around ten. They walk to get changed while Hiccup goes up to his room to get blankets, his pajamas on, and pillows. After Astrid is done, she goes up to help Hiccup.

When she walks to the top floor, she sees the same design as the house in her first dream. She walks to the room where the girl was in and sees the door half open. She hears step, squeak, step, squeak. She knows Hiccup is in there. It is obvious. The uneven sound of his feet gives it all away. 

She knocks on the door and the footsteps stop. 

"Yes?" She hears Hiccup.

"Hey it's Astrid. Got pants on?"

"Yeah." She can just hear the smile in his voice.

"Then I am coming in." She doesn't wait for a reply and walks right in. She sees Hiccup wearing red plaid pajama pants, and a black pajama shirt half on. She smiles at his face. He pulls the shirt on the rest of the way and looks at her again.

"I see you didn't wait for me to say anything."

"Yeah so?" Astrid smirks.

Hiccup smiles and gets pillows and blankets. Astrid walks over and helps him. They walk back down to the basement. They see that they have already found a spot to sleep. The twins have claimed a part of the floor. Snotlout got the side of the sectional couch. (A/N: Is that what they are called?) And Fishlegs has claimed one part of the couch.

They give them pillows and blankets and get another part of the couch. They all get comfortable and They pick out a movie. Ruffnut picked Mean Girls, Tuffnut picked Paranormal Activity, Snotlout picked The Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, (A/N: I love Harry Potter...) and Astrid picked Iron Man.  

"Hiccup. Why didn't you pick a movie?" Asks Astrid.

"I don't care what movie we watched and besides, I wouldn't stay up long enough for all the movies." He shifts his position and faces the side of the couch. "And don't go explore the house when I fall asleep." He mumbles into his pillow.

They start the first movie. Half way through Mean Girls, Astrid looks over and sees Hiccup has already fallen asleep. She moves towards his head and leans on her elbows. She reaches for his hair and starts braiding a little piece beneath his ear.

"Hey Ruffnut." She looks up at Astrid.She sees her by Hiccup at smiles. "Yea?"

"Give me a rubber band." Ruffnut stands up and walks to her bag and gets out a rubber band and hands it to Astrid. Astrid ties it in his hair and lets go of the braid. It sticks out awkwardly, but looks good on Hiccup, whether she can see his face or not.

Astrid wakes up and sees everyone still asleep. She turns her head and sees Hiccup. She realizes he looks really peaceful while sleeping. All those stories saying that a person looks younger when sleeping is true. His face looks calm. His bangs fall over his eyes. Astrid sees a white line on his chin. She looks closer and sees a small scar on his chin. She traces her finger on the small bump and see Hiccup start to stir and quickly removes her finger and watch him fall back to sleep.

"Astrid..." The voice startles her. She looks up and sees Ruffnut. Her face is curious. "What are you doing?"

Astrid looks back at Hiccup. "He has a scar on his chin." She says to Ruffnut.

"He does? How?"

"I don't know. I just saw it." She stops talking. "Is it true?"

"Is what true?"

"Him living with an abusive uncle?"

"How did you find that out?"

"Not important. But is it?"

"I wouldn't know for sure. But It could be true. He always shows u at school, all beat up. He doesn't look comfortable when adults are around. Its strange when you think about it." Ruffnut says sitting down beside Astrid.

"I have never seen him so happy. Last night was when I saw a true smile from him. I feel all bad about being mean to him for years now. I don't know how he forgave us so easily."

"Don't feel bad. And everyone deserves a second chance. Whether they think it or not." They hear someone say. They look down and see Hiccup, awake, and looking up at them. The two girls look at each other.

"How long have you been awake?" Astrid asks looking back at him. She can feel her cheeks heat up. Hiccup smiles at that.

"Uh... About three minutes." He sits up. "How did you guys know?" His smile falls into a frown.

"Uh... well, you would always show up at school with bruises and cuts, and you always looked pained. And you flinch when close to a grown up. I never would have been so mean to you if I'd known." Hiccup looks down.

"Whats wrong?" Asks Astrid.

"Nothing. Lets just go upstairs and wait for the others to wake up." They get up and head upstairs.
