Y/n POV

It's been about a year since I met Shigaraki, the male siren that saved me that day I fell into the water trying to escape a dragon and had gotten hurt. Ever since that day I've seen sirens in a different light. I mean they still are the most dangerous monsters of the sea, but now I know that one in millions of sirens can actually be nice. Everyday since that fateful meeting I go visit Shigaraki at his cave/home to keep him company and learn more about him. Today as I trek to the beach and get ready to hitch a ride on Shigaraki's back. I remember that today I have swimming lessons. Ever since that day I had gone to swimming lessons to learn how to swim and not fear the water as I used too. Once I got to the shoreline of the beach I see the reflection of the sunlight reflecting off of his beautiful red scales.

I look at him dreamily he's just so handsome and build so well. Honestly I wish I could just spend the rest of my day my hand entangled in his fluffy white hair and staring into his gorgeous ruby red eyes. Safe to say that I had fallen for him and fallen for him hard too. But... I don't think it will work a human and a siren. How is that even remotely possible, one lives on land and the other on water. I snap out of my thought when I feel cold salty water splash onto me. I saw Shigaraki grinning at me and I chuckles back. Shigaraki has gotten more comfortable around me that he is acting more like himself. "Come on N/n before someone sees you and me and think I'm about to kill you!" Shigaraki had gotten so comfortable with me that doesn't whisper anymore, once he knew that his siren voice can only put humans in a trance when he sings.

He has a nice voice which is so animated and very angelic but he voice is also very velvety. I love his voice a lot. I smiled at him and laid on his back and wrapped my arms around his chest. I could feel him breathing softly. "Hold you breath as always" he said and I held my breath as we went underwater. After a bit we finally got to his cave and we both got onto his sand island that he made bigger for the both of us to be able to be on comfortably. "Hey Shiggy I have a question?" I asked Shigaraki using his nickname. We are great friends that we have nicknames for each other. "Shoot" he said, I ask question and he answers. "So if you don't eat humans then what do you actually eat?" I asked him but then I regret asking.

Shigaraki POV

My back stiffens and I frown at Y/n's question. She's never asked this type of question about me personally. I look at her and see that she has regret in her eyes, I guess she must have read my body posture. But she deserves to know. "I... I guess I can answer that. I usually eat edible seaweeds or fishes that I manage to catch." I see Y/n thinking and she speaks, "I guess that makes sense. Why don't you eat humans?" I hum at her question, I guess she will ask more personal questions about me. "Firstly killing anything with sentient thought is cruel and evil and secondly I personally hate the taste of humans." I look at Y/n and her face looks like she has one more question but it seems big and very personal. "Go ahead and ask" "Where do you come from?" My pupils shrink turn into vertical slits at this question. Many terrible thought run through my head from where I'm from and my awful past.

Y/n POV

I seen his pupils turn into vertical slits as he makes a frightened face and bares his sharp teeth. Before I could say anything he splashes into the water and swims away as fast as a torpedo. "I didn't mean to say anything bad" I said to nobody. My lips quiver as tears form into my eyes, but I wipe them away. This is my fault now he probably hates me. Maybe he'll be back and we can talk about it. So I decide to wait and see if he comes to help me and talk.

~Time Skip~

Nothing...

He never came back. It's been hours and the sun has set as the moonlight shines into the cave. I sigh defeated and decide that I should go home now. I get ready to dive into the water. I jump and dive in and start swimming in the dark water. I don't know how but I manage to swim to the shoreline of the beach. I gasp as I grasp for breath and drag myself onto the beach. I lay down on my back and look up. I see the dark sky with the waning gibbous and sprinkled with stars. I hear footsteps and turn my head to look at who it was, not caring if it was a dragon looking for it's prey. Instead it was a old man with a yellow rain coat and a spear in hand. "You are the girl that got taken by that siren" he said. I didn't say anything as he continued speaking in a hushed tone. "It must have been a struggle to escape it, those things are really strong and stubborn." I frown at what he says but I don't correct him about Shigaraki, if I do he might think I'm crazy.

"Here take my spear, just stab them in the heart and that should kill it and leave you alone. You know I have heard  tales where if you kill a siren and smear it's blood on you, no other siren will ever try to attack you and kill you for supper. Oh but that's old wives tale" he said as he laughed and started coughing. I stand up and grab the spear with to hand, my face neutral. Before I could thank him he starts walking away and drinking what I can only guess is alcohol. I sigh and walk to my home, spear in hand.

~The Next Day~

I lay in bed thinking if I should go and see if Shigaraki is there waiting more me. I just ruined a year long friendship. I turn my head and see the spear on my desk, I sigh I don't even know why I kept that thing.

>Knock<

>Knock<

Who could be knocking so hard on my door. I get up lazily and go to open my front door. When I do open it I see a neighbor with a surprised and scared face. "Y/n there's something going on in the water, you must come and see this!" They leave before I could ask what it was. Many other people start running in the direction she went. I shout my question, "WHAT IS HAPPENING!?" A young boy stops and speaks in a fast tone. "Fight--- Sirens--- Shore--- Sirens are fighting near the shore" and he started running again. My eyes widen, sirens fighting. But sirens don't usually fight their own kind.

SHIGARAKI

I sprint to my room and grab the spear on my desk. Then I start sprinting in the direction everyone is going in. After a bit I reach the shore out of breath. There was a huge crowd looking at what I guess is a fight in the water. I squeeze through the crowd and manage to get to the front of the crowd. Then I see a sight I would never have wanted to see ever. Shigaraki was fighting a group of five sirens. But he was losing badly, his face has blood all over it. This tail was missing scales and his fins were ripped up. I looked at the other siren with vertical slit pupils, spikes and sharp nails. They were clawing or biting him. The I saw what I assume was the lead of the group, though he was much smaller and looked a bit frail. He has straight white long hair which has a crown on it and green eyes, his scales were also green. "You really are a disgrace Shigaraki, I don't even know ho we are brothers" the siren boomed. That was Shigaraki's brother? I didn't even know he had one.

The siren pulled out what appears to be a golden sword covered in jewels. "For your crimes I punish you with death! You will never take the throne big brother!" The siren swung the sword toward Shigaraki's neck. "Yoichi please" Shigaraki said quietly. But he didn't stop, everything went in slow motion as I leapt into the water spear in hand. I threw the spear as hard as I could and I went flying. Then a scream was heard and someone fell to the water dead. I looked and saw Yoichi swaying in the waves of the salty water. His blood went everywhere and the waves smeared me with his blood, some even managed to get onto my face. But I didn't care, I wanted to see if Shigaraki was okay. The four other sirens stared at me with fear in their unnaturally colored eyes.

I waded the water and got to Shigaraki and started to inspect his body for wounds. There were many but they weren't that deep or bad as I thought. The four sirens tried to get closer to attack me but they could so they stayed a certain distance away from me.

"She..... killed him."

"How?"

"The King is dead!"

"This can't be happening"

I heard the four sirens say, wait THE KING. That siren was the king of sirens. The four sirens then booked it and swam away as fast as they could. I heard many gasps, I turned my head to the crowd and saw the crowd looking at Shigaraki and me in surprise. I decided to speak to all of them. "People you all need to know that not all sirens are monsters. Like this one, his name is Shigaraki and he has helped me in the past and is my friend." Many gasped and some whispered at what I said. Then I felt pain on my neck and started to get dizzy. Many peopled started yelling at me but their voices where muffled and then everything went black.

Shigaraki POV

I stared at Y/n's face hoping that she would wake up. We are in my home right now and I'm afraid at what has happened. Then I see her open her beautiful eyes. She sits up and looks at me, "What happened?" I just stared at her face, "Um is there something on my face?" I pointed at my own face and my own neck which had my gills, "Um you got some on there." I see her go to the edge of the sand island and looks at her reflection. She gasps and starts washing the blood of my now deceased little brother of her face. Then she sees what I was worried about. She screams and covers her neck and starts hyperventilating. I got to her and hug her, "It's okay I'll explain everything." She calms down and lets go of her neck. I look at her neck and see fully formed gills which should only be on sirens not humans.

"Let me tell you about my past. I'm from the underwater kingdom called Oceanus. I was the heir to the throne being the eldest of the current king. But I wasn't like the other sirens, I didn't kill and eat humans. Nor did I enjoy killing anything unless for food. My younger brother noticed this and snitched about me to father. He banished me form the kingdom and made my younger brother Yoichi the heir of the throne. Years passed as I tried to survive and hide from the assassins squads sent to end me from my brother the now king. But then I met you and we became friends. Then when you asked me where I was from I had these bad memories come flooding to my mind. I'm sorry I swam away but I just couldn't that day. But thank you for saving me even though you killed my brother." I whispered.

I look at Y/n and see her process the new found information. "I'm sorry for what you've been through but why do I have gills?" I continued but didn't whisper it, "There were rumors that if a human managed to kill any royal siren other sirens wouldn't attack you. Since you killed the king though the other rumor said that if a human killed the current king they would have to take their place as rightful ruler having killed the leader. But I thought those were fake." I see Y/n make a scared face, "So the old man was wrong.......Wait me being the Queen of the sirens! I can't do that!" I sigh knowing she was scared. "I know but if you don't the sirens will go crazy trying to find their new ruler. So you must go and present yourself, I will take you tomorrow, hopefully they don't attack me since I'm banished and should go back." I see her sigh accepting her fate.

"But if I'm the new ruler can't I just un-banish you?" I think, "Yeah that could be possible" I said. "Shiggy?" I hear Y/n say. "Yes N/n" I reply, "Can.... can I make you my...... King?" she asked. I blush at what she said, me being her king. Does she love me back? I see her look away but I grab her face with one hand and feel that her face is hot. I make her turn her head towards me, and I speak. "I love you Y/n", I see her look at me in the eyes and she speaks, "I love you too, Shigaraki." We start leaning into each other and our lips meet in a tender kiss that I wish would last forever. But then we had to break the kiss and we looked into each other's eyes. "Tomorrow I'll take you to the kingdom to make you the queen." I see Y/n smile but not as big as usual, "Ok" she said. The I went in again to kiss her, but before we did I said "I love you so much darling."
