You saw Bakugou risked his life for Deku. Upon waking up in the hospital, the first person he asks for is Deku, with Todoroki not too far behind.

(I'd just like the point out that Bakugou doesn't use any funny nicknames when asking for other people in this scene and addressing them properly, such as "sensei". It's character development!

The nickname "Deku" doesn't count in my eyes, he's been calling him that practically his whole life and still uses the name after Deku repurposed it with the help of Uraraka. That's a topic for another day though!)

Upon hearing that Deku is in a coma, Bakugou immediately rushes to his hospital room saying, "He's dead meat if he thinks he can die on me."

The key words here are "on ME."

His mind is completely blocked out from everyone else at this moment. It's just himself and Deku, who he's praying is okay in his own Bakugou-y way.

This phrase is also commonly used in a lot of fan fiction! Lots of people have pointed out that this whole scene felt like it was ripped straight out of a fanfic lol.

At this point, there seemed to be no possible way to slow Bakugou down from running after Deku and potentially re-opening his own wounds. Deku's at the forefront of his mind and well... there's no stopping that.
