chapter 11: First Date
"and here is the Chemistry hall." Blin said to her nodding sister.
"It's beautiful. I really wish I could go to a school as a amazing as this. But then again, I wouldn't want to chop of my hair and pretend I have an Adam's Apple."
Blin rolled her eyes. Pretending wasn't so bad, she just felt bad for all the people she's "lying" to.
Just then Jungkook and V walked turned the corner, walking in their direction.
"Oh!" Blin said smiling. "Those are my friends. V, and Kookie."
"His name is Kookie?" Catrina whisperd.
Both of the boys waved and stopped where the girls were standing. "Kookie?" Jungkook said raising both eyebrows smiling.
Blin realize she called him by Christian's nickname. She laughed it off.
"Okay, only you and hyung call me that. And I'm your hyung." He said messing up Blin's hair.
"His name is Jungkook, and I'm V." V smiled at Catrina.
Catrina nodded keeping her eyes on Jungkook. "Are you close friends with my sis- brother?"
Jungkook nodded and placed his arm over Blin's shoulder. "He's my good friend. Right Blin?"
Blin nodded happily. Her smile turned down when she saw the principal walked up to her.
"Glad to see you've made friends. Could I see you in my office for a moment Blin?" She said smiling.
Blin turned around to Catrina. "Stay with them for the time being. Boys, she's sixteen, so if you try something I'll decapitate you. Have fun!" She hoped Catrina would keep her mouth shut and have a good time.
She instantly linked arms with the two boys happy she could enjoy them to herself.
Blin swallowed hard and turned into the principal's office.
The principal sat down infront of her and smoothed out her skirt.
"I don't like beating around the bush, but we have to discuss Rapmonster's grades. What you and I have, is sort of like a contract, and if you can't meet your end of the bargain, then I'm to have to take action."
Blin shook her head. " You won't have to approach me again. I am fixing this quickly."
"Oh? Well I'm glad to hear that. I hope for your sakes I won't have to see you again."
Blin nodded and wiped the sweat of her palms on her jeans.
"You're dismissed."
She walked into the Science hall. No one was there. She saw the homework bin still sitting there. And the ungraded test. I'll just slip his in there.
She pulled out Rapmonster's Exam and his three homework reports and slid them into the middle of the stack.
Phew. She looked around, glad to see no one, and left out of the classroom.
*
She was texting Catrina and she found out they had gone out to lunch. She was going to meet them but Christian stopped her in the middle of the hallway.
"Blin! Can I take you to meet Sam real quick?"
Dang it. "Sure." She said forcing a smile. She wasn't looking forward to meeting Sam. Especially in a romantic way, she'd just had to let her down. Hopefully Sam won't take interest in her anyway.
She followed Christian until he knocked on a dorm.
Why is Sam here so often anyway?
"Sam visits often?" Blin asked.
Christian nodded. "She's here a lot. She is the daughter of the vice principal and she helps in the food chemistry."
Oh.
Samantha opened the door waving at Christian. She had long brown hair and big eyes with pretty eyelashes. She was wearing a black crop top and white short jeans with a red flannel around her waist. She looked like she did some type of sport, but she was very pretty.
Christian led Blin into the dorm. "Sam, this is Blin. Blin, this is Samantha."
Blin smiled and waved politely. Sam was the type of girl and had the type of style that reminded Blin of herself. She would find herself wearing a similar outfit and trendy styles. She also had brown hair before she dyed it silver.
Immediately Sam cupped her hands around Blin's cheeks. "You are adorable! Please tell me you don't have a girlfriend."
Blin swallowed hard and shuddered at her touch. It was just.....weird.
Sam was a little taller than her, just a hair. Blin scoffed at her taste in guys though. If pretty boys shorter than her was her taste, then that is one way they are definitely different.
"I don't have a girlfriend." She replied simply.
Sam clapped her hands together. "Great! When would you like to go out with me?"
Blin mentally rolled her eyes. From her point of view she could see why some girls could get on guys' nerves. Blin always considered herself to be the assertive type, but Sam was just....pushy.
"When are you free?" Blin said uneasily.
"I haven't eaten lunch, you could take me out now." She said smiling. "I'll go get ready.".
Blin nodded then gave an attempt at a smile. I'll break it off with her not infront of Christian.
She disappeared to a room and Blin took a seat on the couch. My wallet will have to suffer. She fished in her pocket and found a twenty. Hopefully that will cover it. She didn't have a job and money was running out. She wouldn't ask her parents for money either. There weren't any huge issues, it was just a pride thing.
Christian gave her a pat on the back. The instant his hand touched her back sent the butterflies to go crazy in her stomach.
"Nice going! I think she really likes you!" Christian smiled at her. "Do you like her?"
No. "Yes."
Christian smiled causing his eyes to make a cute eye smile. "That's great!"
Blin watched him, so happy he set her up with someone. His hair was curly today and he was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans. Her eyes trailed to his plump, pink lips.
Christian smiled staring off then looked at Blin. "Why are you looking at me like that?" His eyebrows were up in confusion.
Blin swallowed and looked at the floor as heat rushed to her cheeks. "I-
"I'm ready!" Sam came over in a silver miniskirt and a black tank top.
Blin sighed thankful for the diversion.
"Let's go then." She smiled at Sam and left out of the door.
"Have fun then!" Christian said to them before shutting the door.
*
Blin had been checking her cellphone every five minutes. She'd asked Cat to come and save her, but she was having too much fun with V and Jungkook.
Cat kept sending selfies to Blin of her sharing a shake with one of them or posing with one of them. Blin guessed one of the boys got her a bunny eared headband. Another, both boys kissing each cheek and her face looking surprised.
Blin rolled her eyes at her cell phone.
"So, are you going to talk to me or stare at your lap?" Sam pouted playing with the straw of her beer.
"Oh, sorry." Blin looked up at Sam. "So, tell me about yourself." She said intending for Sam to talk a long time. She could tell she loved to talk about herself. When the waiter came by to take their orders she asked for a hamburger, and then went on to say she could make one herself because when she was a child and so on.
"Well, right now I'm feeling abandoned by my boyfriend sitting across from me because he's too busy talking to some girl. But about me. I like the color Orange. Even though I don't wear it. I mean seriously, who wears orange? Anyway, I don't think marriage is important. I think if you love someone go ahead and move in with them and start a family. If problems start, leave. At least your not signed to a contract.
I want to be a professional bottle flipper. I don't mean to brag but I'm pretty good..." And she talked like that for fifteen more minutes. Even when their food came, she would pause then keep going.
Blin was drifting off to space and picked at her straw in her water. She hadn't ordered any food. Sam's meal alone was expensive.
Blin was caught off guard when Sam started playing with Blin's fingers. Drawing circles with the tip of her pointer finger lightly on Blin's forearm.
Blin felt the urge to withdraw her arm from the table but she didn't.
"You're fingers are so cute. I've never seen a guy take care of them so well."
Blin nodded staring off again.
Jimin walked into the restaurant catching Blin off guard.
She immediately wanted to hide but decided to stop. It was good Jimin was going to see her with Sam so he wouldn't keep calling her gay all the time.
"Hey Jimin." She waved to him.
He looked over surprised but then walked away.
Blin frowned. He may not be in the mood for this.
"A friend?" Sam asked.
Blin nodded absent mindly.
"I paid for the bill, and I have things to get to. So I'll see you around." Blin said quickly.
"Okay, take me to my dorm please." Sam replied
Blin sighed disappoint then nodded.
*
"I had an amazing time today Blin." Sam said standing at her doorstep.
"I'm glad. Have a-"
"So, when's our next date?" She asked.
Blin swallowed. "You're really nice but, I think I shouldn't be in a relationship right now."
Sam's expression fell. "Why? Is there someone else? I thought you liked me."
Blin looked away. "I shouldn't be in a relationship when I like someone else. I'm sorry." It wasn't completely a lie, she did like someone else.
Sam bit her lip. "Fine. I guess we shouldn't see each other again. But since it's the last time, may I kiss you?"
Blin's eyes widened. "I, umm.."
Sam had cupped her hands around Blin's cheeks already.
"You're red like crazy, aren't you excited?" Sam asked with a smirk before pressing her lips on Blin's.
Blin struggled free from her grip and placed her hand over her mouth. "I have to go!" She got out quickly already rushing away.
