ch 33: I'm a Very Jealous Guy
A/N: so a friend of mine was messing around and published a draft of mine that I didn't finish deleting the last part. So if you read the last part of the last chapter I updated it is currently deleted as if it never happened😁
Blin poked at the crusty meatloaf on her tray. "You would think they served better food for being so prestigious." She complained.
Yoongi snorted. "You would think a lot of things about this school."
Taehyung groaned. "Why did Winter break have to go so fast? I've only had three classes since we came back and I already want another break!"
Jungkook nodded. "I actually had fun."
"Actually? It was a blast!" Jimin said laughing to himself earning an eye roll from Blin. For you. She thought.
"We needed that break, we really did. I wish Cat could've stayed longer." Christian sighed.
"It's alright hyung, we still have the group chat." Jungkook chimed. "Well, I'm going to get a head start to the Media Hall. Yoongi, mind showing me where the computer rooms are?"
Yoongi sluggishly stood up and groaned an indifferent 'whatever'.
Christian placed his hand on top of Blin's. "I was thinking you could meet me at our bench after lunch? I have something I've been wanting to talk to you about."
Blin smiled warmly at him and nodded.
Taehyung shifted uncomfortably in his seat then got up and left. He still wasn't okay with this. He couldn't sit there and watch that.
Jimin stared down at his tray feeling like a third wheel. "You guys can talk now if you want, I'll just leave." Is what he should've said. But he didn't. That would mean he was surrendering, letting them believe he was okay with them as a couple. He wasn't.
He sat there reluctantly although he felt Christian's eyes commanding him to go elsewhere.
"So Jimin, when is your posse coming back together?"
Jimin sighed. "I haven't heard from Elmore, and Rapmonster is fufilling his dream. As much as I hate it for selfish reasons, the worst thing I could do for him hold him back. He's my best friend and I love him so, the best thing I can do for him is let him go."
Christian nodded, bored.
His phone buzzed diverting his thoughts.
"It's Sam." He mumbled to Blin before answering the call.
"Sam?" Jimin mouthed to Blin with a confused expression.
Blin sucked in her lips in thought. After a couple of seconds she snapped her fingers. "Sam! My first kiss!" She blurted out before covering her mouth. She remembered Sam clearly. The spunky, overexcited girly-girl who wouldn't shut up about herself and was 'totally in love' with Blin.
She sighed looking at Jimin. A smirk spread across his face.
Christian kissed Blin on her cheek standing up. "I gotta go." He whispered.
Blin nodded and was getting up herself. She wasn't just going to sit with Jimin alone.
"Woah, woah. You didn't finish your meatloaf." A smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
Blin plastered on a fake smile. "Oh right... I just, am saving it for later." She said.
He sighed. "Sit down."
She said down obediently biting the inside of her cheek.
"So tell me about your, first kiss." He finally let the smile show, popping a fry into his mouth.
She rolled her eyes. "I don't have to say anything about that."
He snorted. "Just how far were you willing to go to sell this lie? You do realize, I have the power to get you expelled." He was amused. Completely amused.
Her eyebrows jumped at that. "Are you kidding me? Friends don't sell each other out!"
"Real friends don't. I don't know about fake ones." He teased.
She took a deep breath "Jimin, what exactly do you want?"
He looked up at the ceiling in thought. "I want you to finish your meatloaf, and in the meantime have a friendly conversation with me."
Blin's face twisted for a split second but then she put on a 'smile'.
"Fine. Sure, I'll...I'll finish this crusty meatloaf."
"So umm, you wanted to hear about that date huh." She laughed to herself.
"Sure, why not?" He wasn't able to conceal his mirth.
Blin swallowed. "Well-"
"Nah I'm bored of this story." He cut her off.
She groaned. "Then what do you want to talk about?"
"Tell me about my brother."
"What?"
"You probably know more about him than I do, since you guys have been dating for a couple weeks."
Blin scoffed. "Well, I want to talk about June. I have questions of my own you know."
He swallowed hard. "Fine. Let's talk about June, let's talk about Christian, let's clear up any misconceptions we have of each other."
"We don't have time for that."
"We'll make time. I'm not feeling these next classes, meet me at Shake n' Shack in thirty minutes."
He left before she could resist. She sighed. She couldn't just leave him there waiting for her. She would go just this once. And besides, she did have a few questions.
*
Rapmonster unlocked his small apartment and held his breath.
He'd left without taking out his trash, or cleaning out his fridge. He wasn't used to those actions but he was living on his own now so he needed to think of these things.
When he opened his door he was surprised to not smell anything, infact, the entire apartment looked spotless.
"What the-"
"Oh! Rapmonster, you're home!" Elmore rushed up to him.
Rapmonster stood there surprised. "Elmore, what are you doing here?"
"Sorry I kinda crashed at your place for the week you were gone. I kept it tidy though, before it reeked." He scratched the back of his neck.
"No man, it's cool. I'm glad to see you." He gave him a hug.
Rapmonster went to get them sodas as Elmore sat down on the sofa.
"So," he set one grape soda infront of Elmore before sitting down himself. "What brings you all the way to South Korea?"
"You're not going to like this, but we want you to come back."
Rapmonster stared at him. " I'm sorry-"
"Here me out. Jimin and I, you're our brother. That school, they did you wrong. Don't you want to prove to them you're innocent? Don't you want your life back? With us?"
Rapmonster slowly shook his head. "This is my life. I don't care what that school thinks. And of course I miss you guys, but I've worked too hard to give this up. I just want you guys's support, it's the only thing that makes me wake up in the morning with regret."
Elmore swallowed hard. It hurt, it really did. "RM." His voice was pleading.
"No Elmore, I'm sorry. I made a commitment."
"You can't just throw away a commitment then make a new one!" He yelled.
"Throw away? I love you Elmore , you and Jimin both, but you say you love me then you won't let me fufilling my dreams?" He pointed a shaky finger to himself. Tears of frustration threatened to fall. His family, never approved of his dreams. And his real family, Jimin and Elmore, they don't approve either. It hurt him so badly.
Elmore opened his mouth to say something when the doorbell cut him off.
Rapmonster groaned and went to go get it. Whoever it was probably didn't hear him fighting, his walls were soundproof. For a musician it was essential.
He opened the door surprised to see Jhope.
Jhope was smiling and holding bags of food but then his smile fell. "What's wrong?" He dropped the bags of food at his sides and cupped his hands around Rapmonster's face. "you've been crying."
Rapmonster stood there, shocked at his action but then looked away realizing he had been crying.
He raised his hand to wipe away the tears but Jhope did it already.
"What happened?" He asked firmly. "Did you hurt yourself?"
Elmore stormed from behind. "Is he the reason you aren't coming back with me? You don't care about me, about us anymore?"
Rapmonster hung his head.
Elmore looked Jhope up and down. "Just wait until Jimin hears about this." He scoffed. "I hope you made the right choice." He shoved past him. He turned around at the steps to look back at Rapmonster.
"I'll give you one day. One day to meet me at the Cafe next to the Incheon airport. If you come, we'll go back home, if you don't, then I'm leaving. And don't expect me to call you again."
He finally walked away with that.
Jhope grabbed Rapmonster's wrist and led him into the apartment.
"He's someone you care about." Jhope said, watching Rapmonster sit on the sofa.
Rapmonster nodded solemly.
"And he wants you to come back home with him instead of chasing your dreams?"
He nodded again.
Jhope sighed. "Welcome to the ugly side of this business. The hate. The hate from your own family, friends, and the ones you care most about."
"What would you do?" Rapmonster whispered.
Jhope sighed. "It's something you decided for yourself. Going home to the people you care about and giving up your dreams... Is it what you want? "
" No, god no." He sighed into his palms.
"There's your answer. Look, if he truly loves you, he will come to a point in his life where he wants to support you and wishes the best for you."
Rapmonster nodded. "He, he's my friend." He felt the need to clarify, he wasn't sure why but he just wanted to make sure Jhope knew.
Jhope smirked. "Good, I'm a very jealous guy."
