Wiping the blood off my cheek, I look around our 'sleeping quarters'. That first game, Red Light Green Light, was a complete chaotic mess, but now that the prize money had been revealed everyone was falling for the trance of money. It was a horrible environment, and it was all for the sheer pleasure of the soldiers. Seeing people drop to their knees in pain, a bullet wound in their chest or their stomach... how could anyone enjoy that?

Just as the place settled down and the hustle and bustle of the players went away, a shout was heard from someone. 

"Hey! That person's just died!" They shouted, marching towards one of the soldiers in anger. I looked around and, surely enough, there lay a player dead in his bed.

The soldier didn't say anything, and instead stared soullessly at the player. I was listening into it all but I was interrupted by something brushing past my shoulder. I didn't have enough time to look or react, but I was sure that I saw their number in the corner of my eye:

*Some time later~*

The honeycomb challenge, or better known as the Dalgona candy challenge... entering the room, I notice how sinister the place looked. The innocent of the cloud wallpaper and the cute shapes around the place made me feel ever so nauseous. 

The soldiers in front gave me a tin, and as I opened it I realised how difficult this challenge was going to be. I took a seat in the middle of the area, and stared at my dalgona for a small while. The shape was a star, one of the harder shapes, and with the candy I was given a small needle to cut out its shape. I sighed. 

Why me?...

I quickly started to cut out the star, but only a few seconds in and my hand slipped. Gladly enough I didn't crack the candy, but my hands were getting more shaky with each minuscule movement. 

Come on... just one more corner and I've completed the challenge!...

Just as I finished, a loud bang went off. Someone had been eliminated. I was lucky. Handing my dalgona candy to a soldier, I walk off proudly. But I hesitated, and looked back.

My concentration must have been strong, because many players laid dead in the room. But many that I recognised were still alive. Players like 456, 212, 218... 067?

067 was still alive. A female with dark, short hair and an intimidating look. She handed a soldier her finished piece, and walked right towards me, her head down. I looked at her as she walked past me, and I reached my hand out, grabbing her shoulder and making her turn around.

Damn... she looks so much more pretty up close...

"H-hey. Are you alright?" I stuttered, a small blush forming on my cheeks, "I noticed you were looking down."

067 looked into my eyes before eventually replying.

"I'm fine."

"Do you want to talk when we get back to our room?"

God dammit, I wasn't meant to say that!

"Ok, sure. I'm surprised you'd even want to talk..."

"It's fine!"

"Ok. See you soon then,"

And like that, she walked off. I tightened my fist nervously and followed her out to the staircase, making my way back. 

*Back at the sleeping quarters~*

"I'm only here because I want to reunite with my brother after I lost him at the North Korean border, that's all," 067 muttered to me. We were standing in the corner, leaning against the horrible blue wall, and I was listening to whatever she had to say. All of my questions escaped my mouth without even a second thought, but I was lucky in that she didn't mind whatever question I gave. Yet again, the next question came out of my mouth before I could stop it.

"What's your name?"

She paused for a while, and looked away as she gave her reply.

"Kang Sae-Byeok..."

I blushed. Her name was amazing, almost as amazing as her... oh god, am I gavering a crush for her? No, I can't be...
