So, a lil fun fact about me: I can play guitar, as well as write my own songs. On Australia Day night, I played in front of a small crowd (probably about 25-30 people, if that but some of them were pretty well known musicians so I was terrified as fuck) for the first time in about a year and I performed two original songs (one that I wrote about 6 years ago, and another that I wrote just recently) as well as half of a P!NK song (I say half because I admittedly let nerves get the better of me and my mind blanked on me, whoops-).

I've been on and off playing guitar since I was about 14, and I went to lessons for about four years before I kinda...lost interest in it. I only just recently picked up the guitar again. I saw it sitting downstairs and I thought 'you know...I kinda miss it' and I changed the strings on it, cleaned the dust off a bit and within a day, I wrote a song.

Music has been in my life a lot longer than writing stories has. Sure, writing a song is similar in a way that a song is a story, just written with music instead, but you get what I mean (hopefully). That's why I always say that certain songs or even a certain genre will inspire what I write. I'm always listening to music whilst writing a new chapter of a story UwU

I know I've mentioned that I can play guitar before, but I don't think I've mentioned that I can write songs too...although, i'm pretty sure I've put part of an original song of mine in one of the District 9 books ehe.

Oh, I also don't really mention this very often, because I don't actually do it that often, but I am able to tune a guitar by ear if at least one of the strings is in tune which, as I've heard, isn't a very common thing? Idk, I just sort of...learnt how to somehow? I guess it's because I played the guitar so much that I know what the strings sound like when in tune lol. I don't really like saying that I can because I'm worried it makes me sound big headed ehe >~<
