So the AU I'm creating is called ChainTale. I thought it'd be cool to make an AU for a while but I haven't been able to think of an original one. So after watching a few movies and mulling over a lot of concepts, I made ChainTale.

The main premesis of this AU is based around the chains that the monsters bear. In the presence of monster magic, living beings possess chains that are both attached to their collar and soul. Each link of one's chain represents a sin of its wearer. Some people hide their chains away in shame, and others bear them as badges of honor, a way of showing they do not fear causing problems. When one was less links in their chain, they are more pure. The more chains one has, the heavier their soul weigh and the worse their consious gets.

This principal plays into why the humans forced the monsters into the Underground. Humans, feeling the weight of the many sins they had, felt it was the monsters fault they suffered under the weight of their chains. In this AU, you truly can feel your sins weigh on you. How you deal with the weight is what differs.

I'm still developing it though so stay tuned for more on it and even a possible comic. ;P
