I woke up in... a bedroom. "Ugh." I blinked and saw Petra smiling, but with a scar on her face and a bruise on her cheek. "What happened to you?" I managed to say when she laughed. "Have you seen yourself?" 

"No.." I muttered and realized that I was on her bed. And a mirror was propped up in a corner. I saw my pale, scarred face and groaned. "Ugh, I look..." I muttered and fell back against the sheets. 

Reuben climbed onto the bed and I greeted him cheerfully. "I missed you, Reuben." I told him and he licked my face. 

"Come on, can you walk?" Petra asked and I nodded, but felt like my head was stuffed with balls of cotton wool. I winced and grabbed her hand. 

"You look like an old man." she laughed and I smiled, "Can you get me my walking stick?" I said in an old man's voice. She laughed harder and looked at me with her dark eyes.
