A/N This announcement will make a lot of you happy. I have decided that rather than writing 3 more long chapters, I will write seven shorter ones (including this one) instead, for a total of 20 chapters. How's that sound? Now, on with the story!

Artemis' POV

I'm bored out of my mind, waiting for the team to come back. Zatara's daughter, Zatanna, had joined the team and had started dating Robin.  They were a really cute couple, but as she and M'gann always say, not as cute as me and Wally and Jade and Roy. The interrogations had been five months ago, and they had opted to not send us to prison, instead they would just keep us here. Which was fine with us as we had  made friends with the team.We were allowed roam the cave freely, and even use weapons in the training room and spar with members of the team. Black Canary and Green Arrow had also taken special liking to me too, which was awesome, as they'd always been my favorite heroes (comically enough). 

As a few more hours go by, I can't say that I'm not concerned. What is taking so long? The mission itself was only like two hours away, maximum. they've been gone for ten. Seriously, how are they not back yet? WHY aren't they back yet? I can see that the League is worried,too.

Finally, we get a video call type thing from M'gann. She seems panicked. She, stuttering, explains that they were ambushed and that Wally and Roy were captured. Wait, what? No. No, no, no, no, NO! This cannot be happening. But of course it is. 

All of a sudden one of the two screens that weren't being used starts to get staticy. And, then, suddenly the Joker and my dad are on the screen. Jade and I back away behind the screen. We can still see them this way, but they can't see us. We can see Wally and Roy beat up and bloody as well as Joker and Dad. Everyone's eyes widen at the sight.

"We'll make you a little deal," Dad says. "A trade. We'll give your precious little Arrow and speedster back in exchange for Alice and Cheshire. Deal?"

The present members of the league look at each other and seem to have a conversation. If I had to guess, I'd say that Manhunter had established a mind link. After a few minutes, Batman looks at the screen. "Deal," He says. "Met us at the Gotham Docks in an hour. No funny business." A/N Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know that the docks are awfully cliche, but they work.

Dad and Joker nod and the video feed cuts off. Canary looks saddened. "Come on girls," She says and Jade and I reluctantly follow her. She takes us to the infirmary where she grabs our uniforms from a chair in the corner of the room. Jade and I change into them. We head for the zeta tubes after eating lunch, because, honestly, who knows when Jade and I'll eat again? Once we get to the docks, Joker and Dad are waiting with Wally and Roy, who do not look happy.

A/N Well, I said that they would be short, didn't I? Next chapter should be up later today!
