Asuna was using her bike as fast she could. All she could think about, was Kirito. The boy that she cared so much about, the one that she wanted to meet for so long. 

As she was thinking, in the dark hospital room, the moniter stop beeping , as that Kirito opens up his eyes for the first time. 

He had knew , that he has finally been freed at last, with no worries about being trapped within the virtual world of Alfheim Online. 

He took off the Nerve Gear and set it aside , as he knew that his beloved Asuna was on her way to see him. 

"Asuna, I am waiting for you." He thought to himself, as he waiting in his hospital bed, looking at the beautiful night sky.

Asuna couldn't believe this is really happening. It was like the world has been answering her prayers that she would reunited with Kirito at last. 

She parked her bike near the hospital, as she continues running towards the building, to get to the hospital room as she possibly can. 

That was when something stops her in her tracks. She felt blood coming out of her, as she leans back to a van nearby, holding her arm that has been cut by a knife. 

She groans in pain as she heard a laughter through the snowy atmosphere. 

"Who's there?" She asked, curiously of who is there besides her of coming to the hospital at night. 

"You're late, Asuna . I'm afraid that you might catch cold. " A familiar figure came into the view, from the shadows to be Nobuyuki Sugou, who's appearance had been changed drastically. 

His right eye has been scarred and he has a knife in his possession. 

Asuna was shocked to see him, as she exclaimed, "S-Sugou?"

"You really outdid yourself, Asuna Yuuki. You're really are something else. " Sugou exclaimed, looking at the girl. 

Asuna stood herself up, still holding the wound that she gotten from earlier as she said to him, "Just give up, Sugou. 

You've lost, just turn yourself in to the authorities and tend to the crimes you have committed for all the SAO players which includes Kazuto. " 

"Oh, why would I? I know a lot of companies would adore my ideas and they will support me better than your old man! 

But first thing I need to do is to kill you!" He stated. 

He went towards her as she fell to the ground. 

"Hey, stand up! " Sugou demanded, as he kicked her, "Up on your feet already! " 

She looked at the bloody arm, as she gets kicked, as Sugou said, "You really are just think that you get everything you got, like some sort of glorious princess! 

The only thing you need is death!" 

He slices through her, leaving a scar on her cheek. He said, touching his eye, "Damn. My right eye is still foggy but don't worry, I wouldn't miss the second time. 

I'll make sure of that. 

Besides, you don't have real power!" 

Asuna thought back at the time she had with him, as she thought, "Sugou, you really haven't changed. 

You don't have real power either!" 

She instantly grabbed the knife from him and pushed him down. 

"What a feeble weapon, just being used so differently, and what's good about it, is that I have enough to take you down once and for all!" 

She grabs him as he was trying to get away, as she puts the knife towards his neck. She thought all the horrible things he had done, to her and Kazuto. 

But she knew it wouldn't make any slight difference if she really does kill him. She drops the knife as Sugou yells in dispear and faints from having a near-death experience. 

Asuna took a deep breath as she enters the main office, as she said, "Uh, hello? Anyone here?"

The nurse in the front desk notices her injuries, "My goodness, Asuna, what happened?"

She treated her wound, as Asuna said, "Please call the police for me. There's a madman outside the parking lot. It would mean a lot." 

"You got it. But why you are here, in this time of the night?" The nurse asked her with a curious expression of why she was visiting the hospital this late at night. 

"I'm here because I intend to keep a promise." She replied.

Asuna made it directly to Kazuto's room, at last, as she slide the card and went inside. 

She was all alone in the room, as she was just thinking to herself, of what this night meant for her, to start her new life with Kazuto by her side. 

"Hurry up, he's waiting for you." Asuna hears Yui's voice telling her to open up the sheets. 

She pulls the sheets aside to see the young black-haired boy looking at the window, awake and seems to be at peace. 

She smiled happily as she said, "Kirito." 

He hears her voice and turns to see her. "Asuna. " He reached out his hand and Asuna walks over and they embraced each other. 

As Kirito was embracing her, he saw the scar from the battle. "Asuna. You.." 

"Yeah, I just had the final battle just now. It wasn't that hard, but I knew I had to fight for your sake.  It's over." 

"I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you. And that I made you worry all this time. I think I understand what you mean. 

It's over, isn't it? 

Finally.. Finally , I get to meet you!" Kirito replied. 

Kirito just smiled at her, as he said, "I'll go first. Hey. I'm Kirigaya Kazuto. And I'm proud to say that I'm back, Asuna." 

Asuna wipes the tears in her eyes as she said, "I'm Yukki Asuna. Welcome back, Kirito." 

They looked at each other and they knew what they need to do. 

They finally kissed each other, for the first time in the real world . 

It was a memory that either of them would ever forget, that all the struggles that they had been through, through the two years living in SAO has finally be the part of their lives and be the thing in the past. 

As they kissed, the avatars of the Black Swordsmen and the Lighting Flash was watching over them, as they leave knowing that their real selves have found peace as they had. 

Asuna sighs, as she held Kirito's hand, "I know that things wouldn't be easy for you. Once you get discharge, I want you to come with me to meet my friends I've met in AFO. " 

"Sure, I would love to, but still, I think Sugu will be pretty mad at I didn't wake up for so long." 

"Oh, I know that she will forgive you. Besides, I am grateful to her." Sauna said, reassuring the teen as he looked at her. 

"What's that supposed to mean? " He asked. 

"Oh, you'll see, Kirito. You'll see." Asuna replied, as she looked at the clock. 

"I better get home now. My dad might be worried if I didn't get back, he'll might wondering if I managed to see you or not. " 

"I understand. I'll be out of here in no time, so go ahead. " 

Asuna said, "By the way, Kirito, I'm really glad you're back, I'm really am."
