Gray's POV

I'm really a genius guy.

"Hmm... Do you really expect her to call you with -sama all of the sudden?" Natsu asked. It's lunch time now and we're eating together. Ew, that sounded wrong.

"Of course! I won it and I think my logic reasonings amazed her." I said proudly. Anyone would've been amazed by that.

"Cocky bastard." He commented and sighed. "Let's just see. The great Juvia Lockser is going to call you that? Hm, I'm not convinced."

Besides the whole class of Juvia, I also told Natsu about it and he wouldn't believe me.

Why would someone who's handsome like me lie?

Speaking of which, I just saw Juvia entering the cafeteria. She was alone and Lucy is not with her. She had a serious look on her face as she enters. I smirked. Okay, here's my chance.

I quickly stood up from my seat and ran to her. She raised her head up when she saw me and stopped walking. I also stopped in front of her, still wearing a smirk across my lips. "Hey there."

"... Go away. I don't have time for your jokes, Gray." She emphasized my name without the -sama.

My eyebrows had creased and I swear that I heard Natsu's laugh even though he's a little bit far from us. Okay, that didn't go well.

"Juvia, I think I heard that wrong. You forgot something."  I bluntly said.

She gritted her teeth and said, "I said that I don't have time for jokes right now, Fullbuster!" And she tightened her grip on her own hand and raised if so she can hit it on my face.

But I noticed something.

I quickly stopped her hand using my right hand. Out of curiosity and if I'm correct, she should shout if I squeeze this... I squeezed her hand and that made her groan in pain.

"Where did you get this?" I asked seriously and held her right hand as I stared at the purple bruise on the top of her hand. It was a little big and there were little scratches around it.

"It's none of your business so please, leave me alone now." She said and avoided my gaze.

Is she stupid?

I rolled my eyes at her and I started walking towards the exit of the cafeteria. I was pulling her with me while she tries to get out of my grasp.

"Gray! What do you think you're doing?!"

I just ignored her attempts to get out while I continued on walking. Some of the students looked at us but I didn't mind them. I just kept a straight face and I'm serious about this.

"Gray Fullbuster! Let me go! They're looking at us!"

She pinches me on my hand but I didn't let it affect me. She's just a very stubborn girl and an idiot too. And her reason is not reasonable.

"Gray is pulling Juvia!"

"They're holding each other's hands!"

"But Juvia seems to not like it."

Tsk, gossipers.

~•Clinic•~ ♣

Yes, I brought her to the clinic. The nurse seems to be out so I guess I'm the only one who can treat her bruise right now. I made her sit in one of the chairs inside the clinic in front of the cabinets where all the medicines are placed.

I grabbed some ointment and a bandage and also an ice pack for her bruise. I'm glad that there's a refrigerator here. I could get plenty of ice.

I grabbed a chair and I sat in front of her. I put the things I grabbed on a small table because I can't hold them all at once while I'm treating her.

She was looking at her left side and avoided my gaze. She must be embarrassed by he fact that I'm treating her right now.

I grabbed her hand gently and caressed it as I look at it. What did she do to have this kind of injury? "Hold still. This might sting a little."

I sprayed something that could help reduce the pain she's feeling right now on her hand and that made her wince. "Ow! That hurts!"

"Well, you better endure it if you want this gone." I said and grabbed the ointment next. While I was applying the ointment on her hand, I began asking her serious questions. "Juvia, what did you do? Tell me honestly. Did someone try to fight you again?"

"No, it's not that. As I said, it's none of your business." She said and looked away again. She must be remembering something.

"Tsk." I said and squeezed her hand a little tight now.

"OW! WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!" She smacked me on my head using her other hand.

"Because you won't tell me the reason!"

"I just said that it's none of your business! Why are you so worried over that?!"

I furrowed my eyebrows at her. "I'm not worried. I'm just curious because if a guy did this to you, then he is someone to be ashamed of. You're still a girl, Juvia. No matter how strong you are, you're just a girl."

"... I'm the one who did this and it's my fault." She said and stared at her hand, the one I'm treating right now. "Okay? That's it."

"Why did you do this?"

"That is something I can't say."

"Hmm... Judging from this, you must've punched something hard. I don't know, maybe out of anger?" I asked and I hope that my deduction is correct.

"..."

She didn't reply to me so that means that my deduction is right. I hit the bull's eye. I won't ask her any further. That alone is enough information.

After I finished putting the ointment on her hand, I started wrapping the bandage around it. "I guess you can't use this for awhile. I wonder how you'll write notes if your hand is injured like this." Her right hand is the one that's injured.

"I can write using my left one as well so it doesn't matter." She said.

Okay, that simply is amazing.

I shouldn't have been surprised. Judging from he strength, it's natural that she can do something amazing like that. I wrapped the bandaged and after that, I put the ice pack on it.

"There, it's done. You just need the ice pack on it for a few hours." I said and stood up from my seat and returned all of the things I grabbed back to where it belongs.

"... Why are you doing this?"

"Ha?" I asked and twitched my eyes at her. "Even if you're someone I despise, you're still a person and I respect you. Doing something like this is normal, you know."

"It's not." She said and stared at her hand again while she was holding the ice pack on it using her other hand. "It's the first time someone treated my injury."

I was taken aback so I quickly sat on the chair again and asked, "What? Really? What about your parents?"

"So for that," Oh darn it, she dodged my question. She looked at me in my eyes and said, "... Thank you."

"Wow, so you know how to thank a person." I said and ruffled my hair in the process. "I'm surprised, Lockser."

She furrowed her eyebrows at me. "What? Even kids know how to thank a person. Of course, I'd know it too, you know?"

"Well then, you're welcome." I said and I was about to pat her on her head but she grabbed my hand using her left hand before I pat her.

"Don't get cocky, Fullbuster. Sure, I'm thankful for this but doing that is a no-no. Don't feel close to me." She said and stood up from the chair she's sitting on.

Ugh, just when I thought we can finally be friends and all.

She's just so hard to get along with.

I rolled my eyes at her as we both went out of the clinic. I can tell the nurse later that I used the things in there. Well, it's normal to use it even without their permission and I don't know why.

I closed the door of the clinic and turned around, only to see Juvia frozen on where she's standing at.

I took a look at her and she was blushing. Yes, her whole face is red at the moment. What the heck? Juvia Lockser is blushing??

"Juvia, is that you?"

I quickly looked at the guy in front of us and he has a girl with her. Juvia didn't even answer his question and instead, she hid behind my back and didn't face the guy at all.

That was cute of her.

Scratch that. It ain't cute.

But why would she hide from this guy?

"Well sorry but I don't like perverts so stop it." She simply said and backed away from me. "And, you're not my type so stop. It's creeping me out. Besides, I like someone else."

I took a look at the guy in front of me and Juvia.
