There is still hope for humanity...

I walked to the small store today, its about a half mile away, and i wanted a bag of chips and a soda. i grabbed the chips and had the cashier ring it up, then realized it was too expensive for me. As I was turning to take it back, I heard a man say "I'll get it for her." I looked up and this black guy was smiling at me with a ten dollar bill in his hand. "I'll get it for you miss." He repeated, and I shook my head telling him he didn't need to, and that id find something cheaper. He shook his head and bought it for me, and then with a smile and a "Have a nice day," He left.

I bought myself a soda, and now im happily munching my chips as i write this. I'll never know why he did that, or what made him want to do that, but im really grateful for the random act of kindness that man showed.
