❝Alexander, come back to sleep..❞

I sighed standing at the door of my husband's office. He is away from the house all the day, every day and when he finally comes back, he just hides himself in his office. He doesn't even eat or sleep properly anymore and that worries me a lot.

❝I have an early meeting out of town.❞

He raised his head just for a second making me to notice his tired amber eyes. He was gulping all the time, writing down things i never learned what were exactly.

❝It's still dark outside.❞

I walked towards him, my bare feet feeling the wooden floor making me shiver as i put my hand on his shoulder. He tensed quickly before relaxing slowly at my touch.

❝I know, I just need to write something down.❞

He shrugged my hand off making me sighn sadly. He was getting away from me more and more, leaving me more hours alone in this cold house.

❝Why do you write like you're running out of time?❞

I whispered softly, rubbing his shoulder gently trying to get a bit of his stress away, he didn't seem to care a lot for my action anyway.

❝Shhh..❞

he smiled continuing with his papers making me let a frown in rage. I just wanted him to sleep with me like he used to and not to fall asleep on his chair like the last few weeks.

❝Come back to bed, that would be enough.❞

I begged with a small smile, i was praying god to say the truth. It isn't a really nice feeling sleeping alone without having arms wrapped around you or without having a reason to wake up, just to see your lover's face besides you.

❝I'll be back before you know I'm gone.❞

He rolled his eyes frowning with our little convestation. He probably thinks i am distracting from his work.

❝Come back to sleep..❞

I couldn't just sit and watch him like this, for god's shake i am his wife! He protects and helps me through my difficult moments, i should do the same.

❝This meeting's at dawn.❞

He chuckled finishing another paper before signing it and putting it on the top of a tower of papers.

❝Well, I'm going back to sleep.❞

I sighed giving in before walking away from him with my head bowed, ready to burst into tears.

❝Hey. Best of wives and best of women..❞

He titled his head as i turned around my head for a second looking at hik before walking back to my bedroom, trying to fall asleep with a blanket around my waist instead of his arms.

I woke up, the morning light hitting my e/c eyes. In seconds i felt alarmed realizing a pair of arms around my waist. There's no way.. Could it be...
I turned around facing Alex sleeping snoring lightly in the cutest way a human could.

❝My name is Alexander Robert Hirsch and there's a million things i haven't done.. Just you wait.. Just you wait..❞

I sang softly before giving him a gentle kiss smiling.
