"Don't go with your parents because I'll be picking you up at 9 be ready" Xander says at phone.

"Where are we going?" I ask him confused not knowing that we had plans.

"To the lake house" he replies me

"Huh, but why? I don't remember planning anything about it" I answer hi back

"Sunshine did you hear anything I said last Thursday?"

I can hear the irritation in his voice. He hates when I don't listen to him well. Oh, now I'll have to do some really big time pouting and puppy dog eyes at him.

"Umm no" I answer slowly and he groans.

"Alex!" he starts but I interrupt before he gets mad at me

"I know, I know you don't like when I don't be attentive at what you say. But what was I suppose to do? I was just dazed about the gift" I answer hurriedly.

"It was just a skirt" he sighs.

"Yes, but it was really meaningful one" I answer

"Is my sunshine getting better at calming me down when I'm mad at her?" he chuckles

"Why are we going there?" I ask ignoring his teasing.

"My parents held a picnic for everyone, my siblings would be there as well and some other family friends and your family too" he explains

"Oh" I do. How did I miss such a big event? Hmm, no wonder he was getting mad.

"I will make you do more than oh if you don't get ready in time, hurry up!" and with that he hung up.

I hurriedly wash up and get ready. I make it on time and go downstairs to wait for Xander.  "Where's the fire?" mom asks and I just smile at her.

"Well look at you thought you stopped wearing that?" Kia points my skirt

"Well it's hot so um you know?" I reply not really wanting to get on with the skirt conversation.

"Are you trying to seduce someone in that cause girl you got great legs for a girl who is just 5'2" she teases me so I show my tongue to her as she laughs at me.

"Okay girls; let's go we are going to be late" Mom shouts at us.

"Did you pack everything?" Dad asks Mom and she shows the basket in her hand.

We all move out of the door. While Dad and Mom gets in I stand on the door side when Kia notices and ask.

"Are you not coming with us?"

"Looking like that its better she rides with me" David replies from my behind and his innuendo's gets to me.

I stiffen when he wraps his arms around me pulling me to his side and giving his infamous kiss on my temple.

"Okay you guys have a safe drive" dad wishes us waving a little

"Oh we are going to ride safe today right Alexa" he whispers to me grinning like a fool.

"Of course we are! Hey beautiful" Xander whispers in my ear as well.

I turn around and hug him tight as soon as I see him. Never in my life was I this happy to see him. I shiver as he holds me to him.

"I didn't hear your car" I state still in his arm.

"It's okay, I'm here now" he smiles letting me go.

"If you don't mind I would like to take Alex with me to the spot" he asks to Dad as he goes and shake both Will's and Dad's hand

"Oh wow! What a gentleman" Kia whispers to Mom with a sigh.

"Well we were going to drive there together, so it's okay you don't have to bother" David replies before Dad so Xander turns around and speak

"It's not a bother when it concerns my Sunshine and I need some quality time with her as you need with Casey right?" he asks at Casey who just came out from the house for confirmation.

I go and hold Xander's arms as I know he is going to loose the temper. And I don't think my family needs to see that.

"Dad I will meet you guys there with Xander okay, bye!" I shout back hurriedly as I pull Xander to the car which wasn't so easy at all.

He speeds up the car without a word. He has a tight grip to the wheel which I'm sure he doesn't even know he is doing it.

I try to take his hands off the wheel when his phone rings and he picks it up.

"Ya? Okay" he barks at the phone before he takes a turn and stops at a near market. 

"Stay" he commands to me before going in and coming back taking a caret of beers. He loads them in the back seat and drives again.

"Xander" I try to talk to him.

"Don't! Not now" he grits out to stop me.

So, I open my seat belt and get off my seat carefully.

"What are you doing?" he asks looking at me before gazing on the road.

Taking his hand off the wheel I sit in his lap slowly but he just stops the car altogether.

"What the hell are you doing?" he yells to me so I kiss his jaw and sit properly.

"Ssh I'm right here why are you yelling" I state and snuggle close to him

"Get off me and take your seat" he orders

"But I like it here, it's warm and very comfortable" I reply not moving away at all.

"I'm not telling you twice Alex" he grits out.

I take a deep breath and look him in the eyes. Sometimes he can be real stubborn.

"I wasn't going to go with him even if you weren't going to pick me up. I was going to refuse him but you answered for me. Now let go of the anger please, for me?" I plead.

"Fuck" he curses before kissing my lips and I happily return it to him.

"If you hadn't dragged me from there, I was going to beat the shit out of him. Seeing that him holding you in his arms were enough to lose my grip and then he goes to take decision for your Dad" he spats still anger consuming him.

Taking his face in my palm I rub his jaw softly trying to calm him down. David was wrong playing with fire today and poking Xander like that.

But I'm proud that he tried to be as calm as possible and thank god I pulled him away as soon as I can else things would have turned bad.

"You know he was trying to rile you up right? So, why are you getting angry and wasting your energy about it all. No matter what he says or do don't let it get to you, now please smile we were suppose to have fun today and I'll also be meeting your siblings" I try

He nods before holding my face in his palm and kissing me once again. He takes a deep breathe and finally smiles at me.

"Let's go, we are going to be late. So, shall I move from here?" I tease him as soon as I see his smile.

"Well sit where you are comfortable and warm" he teases me back.

With that we drive all the while chatting how my classes, his work were and what we are going to do at weekend. We get to his lake house; I get out first as I was patched up in his lap all the way.

I smooth my skirt down as soon as I get out and sigh.

"Did I tell you how sexy you are looking today?" Xander comments leaning at the door and I shake my head.

 He asks me to twirl around for him, which I do happily. "Perfect" he says kissing my temple. He takes out the caret and I hold some bags and move in.

As soon as we get at the door we are greeted by two boys at the door, they are twins.

"Help here" Xander calls and they push past him to stand in front of me as they check me around.

"Hmm, you are damn hot! I'm Caleb and he's Garret. We are Xander's brothers" Caleb introduces and I smile at them.

"Ya and if it didn't work with him you can date us" Garret adds grinning.

We hear a whistle and turn to the door once again, a really big guy is at the door he is huge 6'7 may be I think and he got heavy muscles and board shoulders too. I gulp looking at him.

"Leave her alone" his voice booms and the twins step aside.

He walks to me and kiss the back of my hand in greeting.

"You must be Alexa, I'm Adam, Xander's brother" he winks at me

"And you should let her hand go" Xander speaks before pulling me to him

"Ah the possessive type, I was just saving her from these idiots" he points to the twins with a chuckle.

"Yes and I'm protecting her from you. All of you behave well, I don't want my girl to feel scared from you guys for coming at her fast, got it?" he says sternly and they all nod.

"Never in my life had I thought that you will warn your own brothers to stay from a girl" someone says and we all look at the swing where a girl is sitting looking at us.

"Though it was fun watching it now, I'm bored. Hi I'm Janet and these are my over protective brothers" we shake our hands before getting in.

Wow, his siblings seems kind of fun!

"You okay? Don't mind them they meant no harm" Xander whispers to me in assurance and I nod with a smile his way.

I see Amy as soon as I look around and smile at her before moving where she is.

"Hi how are you?" I greet her happily.

"Dead for you" she replies and with that she walks out. I'm amazed with the response and follow her.

"Stop, what's wrong?" I grab her arm so she won't walk out once again.

"Wrong? You are asking me that after ignoring me for so long now you remember me?" she gets angry and I feel guilty. It's true I haven't talked with her lately with everything going on.

"Sorry, I was busy" I answer meekly.

"Ya right and I know with whom" she mocks. "Damn girl here I thought we will be best friends when you started dating my bro, but you don't even have time to call me" she huffs folding her hands to her chest.

"I didn't meant to shut you I'm sorry" I apologies looking at my feet making her sigh.

"I will forgive you only if you give me the juicy details" she grins and I blush as I nod. With that she shrieks and hug me tight "Welcome to the family" and runs to meet her brothers.

Xander grabs me from behind and kiss my neck.

"If everything is well with my sis, let's go and meet your folks. I think it's due that I introduce myself as your boyfriend, hmm?" I smile brightly and tug him towards my parents.

Mom and Dad are standing at the grill with Xander's parents so we walk towards them.

"Mr. and Mrs. Roberts, I know it's a bit late but still I would like to date Alex and hope you don't have any problems with it?" he asks looking straight at my Dad's eyes.

"You should have asked about it before my princess was having sleepovers at your place but, well if you hurt my princess then we will definitely have a problem" he answers and hugs Xander.

I hop from foot to foot seeing both of them hugging and grin like a fool till Xander pinches my cheeks and I pout.

I see Kia and William and walk towards them and stay while having some little chit chat. I look around for Casey as I have not seen her after I arrived here but still she is nowhere to be found not even with David.

While I am engrossed chatting up with Kia Xander goes to spend sometimes with his siblings.

Xander POV:

Alex chats with her brother and Kia while I watch her standing with my brothers with a smile on my face.

My sunshine looks so beautiful smiling and excited like that!

"You will bore a hole at her head lil bro" Adam comments to me while I smile.

"She is really pretty. Can I have her, if you two don't work?" Garret asks and I punch him at his arm.

"Not in a million years" I reply sharply and he backs away from me rubbing his arms.

As we chat and joke Janet joins us "So when are you guys getting married?"

I smile at her and "soon" I reply. As she nods Amy comes and drags her away while we all laugh.

"Sometimes I think that girl has got rockets in her feet" Adam teases.

I look at Alex and see David with her, I move towards her but get held by Adam "wait" he speaks I see him holding Alex's waist and kissing her hair. I feel my blood boil.

"Calm yourself, you don't want to create a scene in front of all the family" Adam voices so I try to control my anger.

I watch as Alex try to get away from his grasp but can't, she struggles for a bit and stay still as she says something to him but he just grins and wink at her and she narrows her eyes.

"Is that him, Casey's Fiancé?" Adam asks and I look at him to answer when I hear a splash and someone's scream.

I snap my head on the direction of the scream to see what happened? My blood boils as I see her inside the water; he threw her in the lake.

I run for her rescue and jump in the water, swimming towards her. She grips my wet shirt tightly as soon as I get hold of her and I swim back.

Looking around I see David and glare at him who has an evil smile on his face. Janet brings a towel wrapping it around Alex.

"What the fuck do you think you are doing?" I yell at David as I lift Alex in my arms as she automatically buries her head in my neck.

"I'm so sorry I was just joking with her but her leg slipped, I swear" he tries to look apologetic but I know the monster within him tormenting what's mine fro so long.

"Please" Alex whimpers.

But I can't let this one slip; he dared to harm her while I was mere feet away from her. Bastard!

"Take her to the room" mom advice as she sees my rage in my face.

When I don't move Adam pushes me a bit so I let go of my gaze from David and go inside. I lay her on the sofa and lock the door before getting some clothes from the closet which we store just for emergency. I turn to her and let her out from her wet clothes.

After we both change I check her legs, her right leg has a sprain. I curse when someone knocks at the door.

Opening the door I find it's my sister Janet.

"Adam said she may have sprained her leg" I nod and seat next to Alex while Janet checks her leg.

Having a medic in the family do some handy on times like this as my lil sister is doing medics.

"I'm going to move the nerve in place so it's going to hurt okay?" she informs.

I hold Alex's hand as she screams when Janet moves it and put the bandage on.

"It will be fine in few days just don't put pressure on it, okay?" and with that she nods at me and goes out.

"You fine?" I ask and carry her to the bed

"Your parents want to see you so I'm going to go out while they visit you, okay?" I ask her but she just shakes her head no.

"I'm right by the door sunshine, so just call me if you need anything, so just relax"

"I don't want to be alone" she whispers to me

I take a seat on the bed beside her and graze her cheek lightly.

"I'm not leaving you alright? Just till your parents see you and then I'm all yours, jus you and me. Try to take rest and don't stress yourself much. I'm not leaving" I reassure her once again kissing her temple.

With that I leave her with her parents.
