I wake up again panting and look around my room, I am alone I take a deep breathe and drink a glass of water from my side table.

I look at the watch it's one am, it has been two hours after I fell asleep. I try to go back to sleep again but get startle when my phone rings. I check the number and it's from a unknown number.

Even if I dread to answer it I pick it up may be it's an emergency.

"Hello?"

"Hey beautiful did I wake you up?"

It's Xander and for some reason that makes me smile.

"Um no, I just woke up for a glass of water. Um did you just get in?" I ask him

"Yes it was a long night especially after you left" he replies.

"Oh! Um ok was there anything you want to say?" I ask a bit nervous.

"I didn't get to say goodnight so have sweet dreams" he replies.

"Thank you and goodnight to you too have a sweet dream" I say.

"I will because you are meeting me there. Bye beautiful!" he says before hanging up.

I stare at the phone for a few minute. What was that? Anyway it felt nice to talk to him, I felt safe.

So, before changing my mind I saved his number and once again tried to sleep.

Next morning I feel fresh I didn't have a nightmare. I smile to myself and get ready for my classes.

I meet Amy at the gate and she seems excited which I am not sure why but I do not like it.

"Good morning" I greet her.

"Ya, ya your morning will be good after last night" she smirks and I look at her in confusion.

"Don't pretend like you don't know, the way my bro was all over you last night probably everyone knew about both of you guys and I have a feeling you and I are going to be great in laws"

I gape at her forwardness. God we just met last night and nothing occurred between us except that late night phone call which is still like a dream to me. But that doesn't mean she can go and say whatever she feels like.

"What? Are you crazy we just met last night and nothing has started so stop making assumptions, I cannot believe you thought that" I huff and enter my class.

I really should stay away from Amy for a while may be I can't handle her bluntness and the way she is so free and not afraid to speak her mind.

But why does the possibility of us being in laws felt so right?

Xander POV:

"Hey did you check all the documents we need?" my father asked me

"Yes pop. So, how much did you plan to invest in them?" I ask curiously.

Even if I was, suppose to handle this project pop made all the financial decision regarding it.

"Son, were you even listening to our conversation last night or were you just too busy staring a hole at Robert's daughter huh?" he teases me.

"It's not like that you know" I answer him too fast.

May be he is right. I didn't even know what they discussed last night after all might as I tried I couldn't take my eyes off a certain brunette who is still invading my mind right now. God help me, I'm too deep in this shit.

"Yes, I know because it was just like my reaction when I met your mother and didn't know how to get her. Just make sure you are not hampering the work my boy" he advises and I nod.

If only I can confess what I'm going through to him. But I can't neglect my work and disappoint him. I will have to focus on her when I'm alone.

We get in the car and drive to Robert tech.

I have gone almost crazy after meeting her; all I can think of is when I will get to see her again.

When I saw her enter with Amy I was struck those brown eyes wandering in the party looking everywhere and that little body of hers.

I never thought I would go for a petite brunette like her, but seeing her there standing unsure something tugged in my chest and all I wanted was to go and pick her up before hiding her from the entire world.

I have never felt this protective towards anyone, here is just a mere girl I saw for the first time, and she made me feel something I never thought I could.

I watched her all night as Amy dragged her around and they were chatting and laughing. I wanted to hear her laugh so I moved towards them. That's when she choked up hearing something from Amy, I try to soothe her then she looked up at me with wide eyes and kept staring.

I know I'm good looking everywhere I go girls pretty much wants to start something but I never wanted such attention but seeing her watching me I was more than pleased that she liked what she saw.

I had to be near her and when I got her number, I couldn't help but call her. I had to listen her voice for some reason and her sleepy little voice in the phone just did wonder to my body thinking about it makes me hard again and I groan. I have to stay focus.

"You okay?" my dad asks and I groan again. But, this time, for different reason.

"No, I'm not God pops I can't get her out of my head" I rub my face with both hands and he laughs seeing my misery.

"Take it easy there, why don't you pick up Amy after classes. I don't think she took a car" I look at him bewildered. Here I'm dying without being with her and he smirks breaking my thoughts.

"Amy and Alexa they both go to the same campus"

"Shit! Why didn't I think of that" I murmur.

We reach to the meeting and discuss the deal after everything is signed we sit down for coffee.

"So what else have you thought of doing while you are here?" Mr. Roberts ask.

"Well I'm going to be a silent partner my son handles all the business it's time I spend some quality time with my wife" pop laughs.

"So did you guys see the city yet?" William asks

"No, but guess we will do so, you know any nice guide?" I ask him.

"I'm willing to be your guide only if you say yes to look at the new project I talked about last night" he bargains.

"You are really good at it huh? Okay, I don't promise anything but I can look at it if it's good I will let you know what I think" I reply to him.

"Great" he cheers.

Well even if I do not want to see what the deal is about, I have to so I can be in the good books of both the Roberts so I can get approval from them when I ask Alexa for a date.

After the meeting I go to my office and ask my assistant for my schedule. After checking some emails and rescheduling some meeting I get up to drive to Amy's campus, I message her to wait for me.

When I reach the gate I see Amy is waiting for me, all alone.

"Hello. How come you decide to drop me home? You never showed interest before" she asks and add "or is it someone you want to meet through me?"

"When you know me so well, why isn't she here with you?" I raise an eyebrow and she smiles.

"I already called her, she is on her way. Oh here, she comes"

I turn to face her and just as last night she looks just stunning, without realizing I walk towards her and carry her bag.

"Let me"

She jerks away getting startle and then realizes it's me.

"Hi" she speaks softly and smiles.

She is perfect.

I open the door for her but Amy gets in the passenger seat and I glare at her. Sometimes I wonder if she is even my own sister not that I will ever doubt my mother cheating on Pop but still may be she was swapped in hospital?

Alexa laughs looking at the both of us which breaks my trance and something tugs at my heart once again as I hear her sweet laugh.

"Ice cream" I ask Alexa looking through my car mirror.

"Oh, I would love that" answers Amy

"So how was your day?" I try but once again Amy replies

"So you okay today?" I ask and again Amy interrupts

"Ya she is good didn't collapse on the bathroom floor. Thank god, I was there oh by the way did you meet the nurse? Last night party was so great I just loved it cause you were there else" and she goes on and on.

I take at deep breathe and speak "out"

She stops her talk and looks at me "What?"

"You know what you can walk or take taxi. So out now cause if you don't then just shut up Amy. I can't believe how much you talk and I asked Alex those question not you" I get frustrated.

"Okay, okay. Sorry don't cut my head off for it, Alexa you answer his bloody questions now" she huffs and I start the car.

We go to an ice cream parlor and get ice cream she chooses vanilla, chocolate and butter scotch.

"And you think I eat too much" Amy comments making Alex blush in embarrassment.

I glare at Amy.

This girl will just ruin my moment with her.

So, not to make Alex feel uncomfortable I touch her cheeks and whisper.

"I like it when you blush" she shy away from me.

"Ewe, go get a room you two" Amy comments again.

I think I won't be giving her lift again like ever.

I drive Alex to her house and she invites us in but we say next time. I need to drop Amy back home and go to my office.

"I will call you later" I say, tucking her hair behind her ear before leaving a blushing Alex.
