(Brian walks in the door)

"May I help you!"
The guard shouted.

"Yes, Mick Jagger sent me here to foster Alex."
Brian said.

"One moment."

The guard walked up the stairs, and gave me the news.

"Someone is here again to foster you brat! Get your things."

I guess I was moving to slow cause the guard yelled, then hit me as I fell to the ground.

Back downstairs, Brian had heard the thud, and his curiosity was getting the best of him.
He walked up the stairs to find me laying on the ground.

He had seen the guard hit me once again.
Brian took my hand, and went down to the desk with me before the guard had a chance to question why he was up there.

"I don't know what your problem is, but you shouldn't be taking it out on Alex!"
Brian shouted as he signed the papers, and we left in a hurry.

Brian startled me when he yelled. All The Stones did. It reminded me of Jeff.

I didn't really say anything to Brian. I was afraid.

"Alex, you ok?"
Brian asked.

I didn't answer.

Brian picked me up, and brushed the hair out of my eyes, but I buried my head into his shoulder.

"Baby, what's wrong?"
He asked softly.

I didn't answer.

"Alex, was it something I said?"

I continued to Ignore him.

We got too his house.
I loved his house.

He unlocked the door, and he carried me in.

"Alex, please tell me what's wrong. I want to help."
Brian said as he put me down, and kneeled on the floor so he was at my eye level.

"I-i, don't wike it when you yell."
I said shyly.

"Oh, Alex, I wasn't yelling at you. You know I'd never ever yell at you baby. Right?"
He asked.

I didn't answer him.

He put his arms around me for a hug. I accepted the hug without even thinking. Why?
Too my surprise, I didn't let go right away though.

"Alex, you ok?"
Brian whispered.

"You, you saved me."
I said.

"Yeah, Mick sent me."

"Does Keef know?"

"Yeah. He's the one who called Mick to consult him about me coming for you."

"What consult?"
I asked.

"It's asking if your allowed too do something."
Brian said.

"So Keef did care."
I said.

"Of course! I've seen how much he cares about you. In fact, he wouldn't let me come get you at first. Mick convinced him though."

"I trust you Bri."

"Aw. Thanks."

Brian decided to call Keith.

(Phone rings)
Keith:"Hello?"

Brian:"Hey Keith, I know you probably don't wanna talk to me, but something happened that I thought you should know about."

Keith:"What?"

Brian:"When I was at the orphanage, I saw one of the guards hitting Alex."

Keith:"What, again!"

Brian:"Your telling me that's not the first time that's happened to Alex!"

Keith:"Oh, many times before. When I first had Alex stay at my house, the guard came to the door, and hit him when he tried to run for me."

Brian:"Can't we report it?"

Keith:"I did already, and the guy was arrested, but the police aren't gonna do that to every abusive home there is."

Brian:"Why not! Are there really that many?"

Keith:"Sadly, yeah."

Brian:"Oh my god!"

Keith:"Well keep an eye on them, and thanks for telling me, it means a lot."

Brian:"Alex means a lot to The Stones, so I'll keep him safe Keith."

Keith:"Thanks Brian. I'm so sorry about what I said to you when Mick first brought it up."

Brian:"It's ok, I wouldn't have trusted myself either."

Keith:"Yeah. I'll let you go. Bye."

Brian:"Wait, I need to tell you something."

Keith:"What is it?"

Brian:"I think we should make a rule about not yelling in front of Alex. I went to get him, and when I yelled at the guard, I frightened him."

Keith:"That makes sense to do that."

Brian:"So yes?"

Keith:"Definitely! Bye Brian, tell Alex I said hi."

Brian:"Will do, bye."🏴
