Back With My Family
Alex's POV
Early the next day Brian comes into my room......
"Alex, we're gonna go see your uncles today."
Brian says.
"All of them daddy?"
I ask.
"Yes."
And Brian meant all of them.
"Am I in, trouble?"
"No, Alex. Your not in trouble. Your a wonderful little boy Alex, why would you think that your in trouble?"
Brian says.
"My old daddy, he always tell me I'm in trouble. He always yells at me."
I say shaky.
"Oh, I'm sorry buddy. Maybe he just doesn't have good days."
"Do you?"
"Well Alex, I can say that sometimes, not everyone has good days. Just like when the band and I can't write up any songs, but we don't necessarily let that make us feel bad. Every day is a new day. We have to try to make every day a good day, hopefully things will get better Alex."
"Daddy, what nessairally?"
I ask not knowing how to pronounce the word.
"Necessarily means something doesn't really have to be done."
Brian says intelligently, because he is.
I nod my head.
A couple minutes later, we head out to the car. Brian puts me in the back seat of his car, and puts my seat belt on. He shuts the door, heads over to the other side of his car, and gets in.
It only took a couple minutes to get to the location.
It's a shaded area, with lots of trees, and soft, silky, summer, warm, grass at a perfect hight, about 11 inches high.
As Brian takes me out of the car, I see all of the band members are there. Even Taylor, and Ian.
I sit on Keith's lap with Charlie to the left, and Bill to the right of me.
"Long time, no see guys-well mainly Alex."
Says Keith.
"Yeah, why'd we wait so long to have a band meeting?"
Ian Says.
"We had to get Alex back. That's why."
Brian says.
"We can't have a meeting about Alex, and not have him present."
Mick adds.
Alex shakes his head.
"Should we talk about this as a band?"
Bill says.
"Is that really the best option for all of us, with our son present?"
Says Keith.
Whoa, Keith referred to Alex belonging to all of The Rolling Stones.
"It involves him, so."
Ian says in a caring way.
"I thought we were just meeting up so we could all see Alex, and so he could see us."
Charlie say clearly being confused.
"Yes. That was the original plan, right Mick?"
Ronnie try's to clear up.
"Yeah."
Replied Mick nodding.
"Ok, Bill, Brian. Alex told both of you what happened right?"
Keith says.
"Yes."
Answers Bill as he nodded.
"Ok, Bill, why don't you tell us what Alex said to you."
Keith says.
"Shouldn't we be giving this explanation to a judge so that Jeff can be arrested?"
Said Ian.
"He's got a very good point there, you know Keith?"
Charlie says.
"Yes. Why didn't I think of that! What's wrong with me!?"
Keith says feeling very unhelpful.
"Nothing Keith. Don't blame yourself."
Bill says sweetly.
"Its hard not too. I blame myself for everything."
Says Keith clearly showing his fatherly side.
"Well now. I can sorta relate to that. We are both very protective over Alex."
Brian says in a caring manner.
"You think we should take this to court?"
Mick asks.
"I'd be a good idea."
Says Ronnie.
"What good will it do though?"
Asked Taylor.
"It'll prevent Alex from further harm."
Ian says.
"True, but what about the orphanages? They still hurt Alex."
Brian says.
"Brian has a point."
Says Bill.
Keith nodded.
"It'll do all of us a favor with you know who in jail."
Keith says.
"Keef, are you mad at, me?"
I ask cautiously.
"No. No, of course not. You didn't do anything wrong son. I promise I'm not angry with you buddy. I love you Alex, you know that."
Replies Keith holding me.
"Speaking of Alex, let's have him tell us what happened, or Bill."
Says Ian curiously.
"Tell us what happened, Alexander."
Says Ronnie as I froze.
All the bad memories came back to me at once! Like I said before-I hate when people call me Alexander. It reminded me of Jeff, and Frank.
Flashback:
"Alexander, where are you! Come down here this instant!"
Jeff shouts.
"Please don't, hurt me."
I plead.
"Wouldn't dream of it, you bastard-but that doesn't mean I wouldn't literally hurt you. Figuratively, maybe."
'Uh, what's the difference?'
I thought.
Out of nowhere, Jeff hits me across the face.
~End of flashback
"Alex, should I tell everyone what happened?"
Says Bill.
I nod, and lean my head into Keith's shoulder.
I'm crying, but I'm whimper so soft, that Keith doesn't realize it at all.
I rap my arms around Keith wanting comfort, and Keith holds me in his arms tightly.
Keith rubs my back.
"Keith, look at Alex! He's shaking, and crying. Did you even realize that?"
Brian shouts brushing back my hair.
"Keith, do you want me to take him?"
Brian says again.
"Here."
Keith says placing me into Brian's arms.
"Oh, Alex you poor thing. I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry. Shhhh, your ok baby. Shhhhh."
Brian coed.
"Alex, what's wrong?"
Charlie asks.
I don't answer.
"What's wrong baby?"
Bill asks.
Again, I don't answer. I just close my eyes tightly.
Bill sighs.
"So, Alex's old guardian, Jeff Wesley came to retrieve him. Alex was, physically abused."
Bill said.
"He was hit-a lot, yelled at more than he should have been, and called names."
Brian adds softly, covering my ears.
"Yeah, basically what Brian said. But the one thing that chills me, I can hardly think about it......"
Bill says.
"Should I tell them?"
Brian interrupted, handing me over to Keith.
"Maybe we shouldn't at all. Alex is present."
Bill says.
"We don't really have a choice."
Says Brian.
"Brian, I'm sorry. Alex never told you."
Says Bill.
Brian looks at me over his shoulder-I'm terrified!
I start to cry harder, and Keith rubs my back, rocking me back and forth.
Ronnie and Taylor are trying to comfort me as well, but I'm in no position at the moment, to let anyone in except Keith, Brian, and Bill.
"It's ok Kiddo. Your ok, nobody is going to hurt you."
Taylor says.
"Jeff, cut Alex with a shard of glass. Alex was dragged around to."
Says Bill wiping away a tear.
I cry harder, and shake uncontrollably. Keith cries too.
"Keith, let me hold the sweet little boy."
Ian says as I get handed to Ian.
How many more times are they gonna pass me around!
Ronnie and Mick are crying, and as for Ian, and Charlie, they are just standing still in shock, and complete horror.
I look up at Ian, wondering.
Mick Taylor has his hand over his mouth in shock, trying to hold back tears.
Ian comforts me, and walks slightly away from The Stones so I'm not further upset in any way, shape, or form.
"Shhhh, Alex. It's ok Jr."
Ian says.
Brian and Bill are also trying desperately to hold back the tears cause they've already heard about this horrible event, but that doesn't matter. They just can't help it. The tears came easily for all The Stones that day, even Bill and Brian, but especially Keith-just like they did for me.🏴
