JISUNG WAS REALLY EXCITED. Not only because he had managed to get tickets to a BTS concert and it was today, but more so because he could potentially meet his soulmate in the same place. The thought was terrifying and exhilarating at the same time.
He had decided to keep his outfit simple, opting to wear a pair of black jeans and a shirt, along with a denim jacket. He sat on his bed and scrolled through twitter as he waited for Chan and Changbin to pick him up.
A loud honk from outside interrupted his wheezing over a meme he'd seen, and he quickly went downstairs, hopping into the back seat of Chan's car.
"What's up losers" he grinned, making both the older boys roll their eyes. "Hello to you too, Jisung" Chan muttered, starting the car and driving towards the venue.
Jisung's nerves grew as the stadium where the concert was being held became visible from the car. He told himself he shouldn't hope, and that fate had never been good to him, but he found himself being hopeful anyway. He wondered what kind of a person his soulmate was. Was it a girl or a boy? Were they sweet?
He found himself wondering this as they passed through the lines and into the venue which was full of excited chatter. They found their seats and sat down just as the introductory VCR started, and Jisung found himself focusing on enjoying the concert instead of thoughts about his soulmate. He focused on the seven people he admired so much and found himself screaming along the lyrics.
Before they knew it, the concert was ending and Jisung felt the post concert depression set in, but he didn't let it dampen his mood. He had enjoyed the concert without worrying about his soulmate.
He felt a sudden rush of disappointment kick in. He hadn't met his soulmate. He shouldn't have hoped for it. Why was he dumb enough to think that life wouldn't screw him over this time? He shouldn't have expected anything.
Chan and Changbin looked at their friend with worry. They knew what was going on through his head. He hadn't been able to meet his soulmate.
"Jisung" Changbin called out softly, putting a hand on his friend's shoulder, who stared emptily at his shoes.
"Jisung" Changbin said a little more firmly, making the boy look up with a jolt. "Yeah?" He muttered, looking tired.
"Let's go have some dinner. Jisung, where do you wanna go? My treat" Chan suggested enthusiastically, wanting to get the boy to stop thinking about his soulmate.
"Can we get meat?" Jisung asked with a grin, forcing himself to think and look forward to other things.
"My wallet is already crying, but let's go" Chan replied, throwing an arm around each of his friends' shoulders.
The three were walking towards their car when Jisung bumped into someone. His eyes widened as he felt a surge of warmth flow throughout his body. He shakily looked at his wrist and found the familiar burst of colours he had seen so many times on the wrists of other people. He felt a tear escape his eye as he looked at an equally shocked boy, now staring back at him.
"I found you" he whispered, as a stream of tears escaped his eyes, blurring his vision.
His soulmate looked at him with a small frown before engulfing Jisung in a tight hug, making the younger sob even louder. He had finally found him. Chan and Changbin looked at the exchange with tears in their own eyes, happy that their friend could finally stop suffering.
Once Jisung had calmed down a little, the two pulled away, and Jisung's soulmate looked at him with a smile.
"You okay now?" He asked playfully, and Jisung sniffed and nodded with a laugh.
"I'm Jisung" he said with a soft smile which was mirrored by the other boy.
"I'm Minho" he replied with a playful wink, causing Jisung to chuckle again.
"As cute as this exchange is - he looked at Minho- hi I'm Chan; we should probably go get dinner before all the restaurants close up. Minho, you wanna join us?" Chan asked, making Changbin snort at his way of introducing himself.
"Don't mind our dad here. He means well. I'm Changbin" he said with a grin and Minho just let out a laugh in response.
"I don't want to intrude. I'm with my friends too" Minho said, pointing at three boys behind him, making the other three boys roll their eyes.
"You have no idea how much this boy has cried and sulked over finding you. The last thing you'll do by joining us is intrude. And you can invite your friends too if you want" Chan said with a soft smile, making Jisung blush.
"You didn't need to expose me like that." The youngest whined, making Minho coo at his cuteness.
"Okay, let's go before they start being disgusting here" Changbin said playfully, with a smile of his own.
"Can I invite Felix?" Changbin asked as soon as him and Chan sat in the car, Jisung deciding to tag along with Minho.
"Of course you can. Call Woojin and invite him too. I'm driving so I can't call him right now" Chan replied.
Soon, they reached the small restaurant and walked in, finding Minho and Jisung already seated at a table, along with three other boys who they guessed were Minho's friends. All of them introduced each other and in no time, all nine of them felt like they had been friends forever.
