LEGEND SAYS THAT every person in this world has another person destined for them — their other half, who will understand them and know them better than anybody else.

It is believed that in ancient times, humans had been different creatures than what they were now — they had two heads, four legs and four arms. These creatures were strong and powerful and out of greed, decided to attack the Gods, wanting more power. However, they were unable to defeat the gods, for they were far more powerful than what the humans had thought them to be.

The Gods, instead of punishing humankind by perishing them, sought for a more entertaining punishment and decided on cutting the humans in half instead. After all, they needed someone to worship them and give them offerings. The humans ran around in panic, looking for their other halves, feeling incomplete without their two heads, four arms and four legs.

The Gods, thoroughly entertained, decided to curse humankind even further. They decreed that humans would always feel incomplete without their other half, and would have to look for the same throughout their lives. However out of pity for the humans who were beginning to give up on life due to being separated from their other halves, the gods decided to give them a way to find their soulmates.

They were branded with pitch black ink on their skins, which would indicate the place where they'd find their other half, their soulmate. At a simple touch from their soulmate, the dark words etched on their skin would turn into a flurry of colours, indicating their meeting.

The Gods however, were not satisfied by just this. They put in one more condition, just to torment the humans even more. If any individual dared to go to the aforementioned place just to find their soulmate and with no other purpose, the words from both their skin and their soulmate's would disappear, leaving them to never be able to find their other half.

Centuries have passed and humans still wander around, waiting to find the person who is their other half, who makes the words on their skin burst into all the colours of the rainbow and more.
