Jarriet and the group was still far away from them so they're not so sure of what they were talking about. Doon lang nilang dalawa nalaman na may bardagulan palang nagaganap sa pagitan ni Rios at ang mangkukulam na pinatawag nila.

Shock was written all over Rios's face after getting a 90 degrees slap from the woman he called Claire. At kung hindi lang ang buhakhak ni Jarriet ang pumukaw sa sistema niya ay paniguradong hindi pa rin siya makakagalaw sa kinatatayuan niya.

"S-s-sinampal mo ako?" his skeptical voice asked, carrying his humiliated pride.

"Hindi." ani ng babaeng nakasuot ng belo bago humarap sa dalawang may matataas na posisyon.

"Magandang umaga, alpha, beta. Ikinagagalak ko kayong makita sa araw na ito." yuko niya bilang respeto na ikina-ingos ni Rios.

"What the—! This is inequity that I am receiving!" he couldn't believe what he just saw. Him, being a person who has a higher position than the two was treated disrespectfully by the woman who they referred to as 'the wicked' when all he could see was the same lady who bewitched him last time.

He continued his ridicule, "This should not be legal! This is against my rule! Improper and indecent! At anong wicked ang sinasabi niyo? She's just a little girl who's probably doing you tricks kaya matanda ang nakikita niyo sa kaniya!" kung totoo lang na may usok na lumalabas sa butas ng ilong kapag galit, ganoon na rin siguro ang nakikita ng mga kaibigan sa kaniya.

Nagtawanan ulit ang dalawang babaeng kilala niya. Claudette with her blood red nails was playing with her curly death red hair as she annoys Rios more, "Damn, stray cat. You are literally whipped with that lady!"

Rios shudder to fight back dahil una sa lahat, ayaw niyang hawakan siya ng babaeng ito. He could only growl before he turned his back on the ladies to face his friends.

"Maniwala kayo sa akin kahit ngayon lang, pwede?" halos mawalan na ng pag-asa niyang sambit pero tanging kibit-balikat lamang ang nakuha niya mula sa mga ito. And with just a splint of second, nakita niya nalang ang mga likuran nitong paalis habang naiwan siya doong nakatunganga.

One thing that he knows for sure was that that lady they called Adelaide got him so bad for the second time.

On the other hand, Adelaide with both beta and alpha were on their way towards the alpha's office. Sinadya ng alpha na papuntahin siya mismo sa mansyon dahil sa ipapagawa. As a leader of their pack, she was obligated to come and follow whatever their alpha says.

Umupo siya pagkatapos maupo ng dalawa atsaka na nila inumpisahan ang diskusyon.

Adelaide knows the frankness of their alpha, kaya hindi na siya nagulat pa nang marinig ang bagay na hiningi nito.

"A human is turning into a hybrid and it started last blood moon. The reason is still unknown but it does not only involve the human but as well as our beta. I asked you to come here just in case you can tell what you know that we don't."

Despite the speed of the alpha's delivery, she still understands what he meant. Kasi ito rin yung rason kung bakit siya nakita ng prinsipeng iyon. And even if she really wanted to poison that guy, she can't because she couldn't.

Binalik niya nalang ang kaniyang atensyon sa kasulukuyan at kibit balikat na sinagot ang dalawa, "It was written in the book that once the moon starts to glow, hybrids and humans can't unite."

Tumango si Callum, "I only did that to save her. She was almost killed by our likes."

"And you killed him in front of her, I assumed?" she raised both brows to inquire despite being behind a cloth but still, she received a nod. "Was she awake when you killed him?"

"Yes. Pero hindi niya nakita."

"Paanong hindi?"

Napakunot noo si Callum at obvious na sumagot, "Kasi nagkumot siya? At isa pa, kahit sinumang tao ay talagang mapapapikit kapag may nakitang hindi kaaya-aya sa harapan niya."

Adelaide scoffed as if it wasn't the most powerful people in front her, "Kakasabi mo palang kapag may nakita." she might sound disrespectful pero sanay na rin naman ang mga ito sa kaniya.

After all, they've known each other since she became the purest of their clan.

"No! That's not what I mean—" napabuga nalang ng hangin si Callum, "Ano, may alam ka ba o wala?"

Nagkibit balikat ulit siya, "I do but I need to talk to that human first. I need to confirm something." she stood up from her seat and speak for the last time, "And please give Claudette the permission to touch her. Baka sakaling may makuha rin kayo sa kaniya." yuko niya bago inayos ang belo atsaka umalis na walang paalam.

Callum and Harrison were left in deep silence. As expected, they didn't get anything from the wicked in one attempt. Well, they technically got one when Rios went to their place but still, it gave nothing but another confusion to them. Kaya kahit ayaw man nilang isipin ay sa tingin nila ay pinaglalaruan lamang sila ng matanda. Adelaide is known for her wickedness, and Harrison might be superior to her but she's no doubt experienced and a brat. Kaya hindi na siya magtataka kung sakaling gawan man siya nito ng marumi. But for the record, Adelaide hasn't done that to him—at least to the alpha.

Napabuga nalang ng hangin si Callum bago tiningnan ang kaibigan niya, "I guess we need to follow her for now? Kahit ano naman ang gawin natin ay wala pa rin talagang makakasagot."

They both agreed to the same thing before Harrison was stopped by a realization.

"What if...Claudette would witness more than just what happened that night?"

And they know too well that things could either get dangerous or thrill to Callum and Aldeheid.

All Callum could hope was the safety for his not so little Alde anymore.
