Chapter Eighteen - Long Way Home.
Chapter Eighteen - Long Way Home.
The airplane landed with a screech of rubber against tarmac as the plane finally touched down on a runway at New York airport. Shaking him by the shoulder, Magnus woke Alec up, leaning in slightly as he whispered, "Sweet pea, we're home. You need to wake up now." Alec stirred slightly, mumbling in his sleep a small smile flitting across his face slightly, "Magnus. Not now." Magnus chuckled to himself quietly as he shook Alec by the shoulder again, "Come on sleepy warrior. It's time to get off the plane now. We're home." Alec blinked blearily in an attempt to clear his blurred vision as he beamed drowsily over at Magnus. "'Kay." He muttered, stifling a yawn behind his hand as he struggled to stand from his seat, forgetting about the thick strap holding him in place. Magnus bit back a laugh as he reached around the young Shadowhunter's waist to undo his seatbelt. "Come on, sweet pea." Magnus said taking a tight hold of Alec's hand as he began to lead him from the plane and through the tunnel towards the airport gateway.

"They've landed!!" Jace yelled, jumping to his feet as his eyes flickered across the glowing black and orange notice board to see that Alec and Magnus's plane had finally touched down. "They've landed!!" He yelled again, spinning to face Isabelle, Clary and Simon with an ecstatic grin across his face. He hauled Isabelle to her feet, spinning her around slightly before stepping back at the sight of the dark glare that she sent him, "Alright Jacey. Calm down, the whole airport doesn't need to know how excited you are that your Parabatai is home." She said, smirking at the dark look Jace sent her at her favourite nickname for him. "Don't call me that. Ever!" He said sternly before glancing back up at the notice board for the Gateway number. "Four!" He yelled over his shoulder as he began to briskly walk in the direction of Gateway Four leaving his friends behind to fight through the crowds and catch up with him.

Alec handed over his passport to Magnus to be handed to the woman behind the desk in order to be stamped so that they could collect their luggage and leave the crowded airport. He sent the warlock a small smile as he lightly squeezed the young Shadowhunter's hand briefly before letting go and turning his attention back to the woman just in time to get their stamped passports back from her. He turned his attention back to Alec who was lightly rubbing at his eyes, clearly fighting against the jetlag that was slowly starting to take control over him, "I'll be glad when we get home and back to our little apartment." Alec yawned, taking Magnus's hand in his so as to not get separated within the bustling airport. Magnus chuckled, "I'm sure the Chairman will too. He's probably getting himself into such a hissy fit right now." Alec laughed too, squeezing Magnus's hand tightly as they wiggled through an overly large group of holidaying tourists - the large bulky cameras and sunglasses was proof enough - to reach the conveyor belt already packed with suitcases and bags of all different sizes and shapes. "It really makes you wonder what Mundanes bring back and take with them when they go on holiday." Alec said, nudging a particularly heavy suitcase off of his and Magnus's slightly more battered suitcase. Magnus glanced down darkly at the battered state of the suitcase for a moment, "They better not have ruined my best outfit." He muttered causing Alec to laugh at him as he took the handle of the suitcase in hand, "Come on, we can worry about your poor sequins later."
Jace was the first to spot the two of them as they came through the security barriers, he grinned raising his arms above his head waving like a lunatic as Alec and Magnus waved back. He glanced round as Isabelle pushed past him, the heels of her boots clicking loudly on the marble flooring as she wrapped her arms tightly around her brother, "I missed you." She said loud enough for him to hear over the noise of the airport. "I missed you too, Iz." He responded, resting his head on her shoulder with a beaming grin. "Well don't leave me out." Jace replied, joining his two adoptive siblings in a group hug, "Good to see you Alec."
Alec nodded in response, slapping Jace's shoulder in a brotherly manner. Alec grinned, fighting back another yawn as he briefly let go of his siblings to hug Clary and Simon shocking them both, "You're family too." He shrugged. Jace laughed, "Are you sure you brought the right person home Magnus?"
"I surely hope so," Magnus replied beaming as his eyes caught Alec's, "otherwise this will be very awkward." He took a step towards his husband grabbing him by the wrist and pulling him into a brief kiss. "Welcome home Alexander." He whispered.

A/N:
Hey everyone! So yes I finally updated 'Aku Cinta Kamu' sorry if it's a really short and crappy update but it's really just more of a filler and I wrote it whilst being at the hospital all morning because I definitely owe you all an update as I haven't written this story since July last year. I feel really bad about it...
I'm gonna be honest with you all because I feel like I can do that... (well hopefully I can) I have been going through some really tough things over the past two years, things that made me doubt writing and doubt myself in the terms where I hate myself beyond the point where it's not even hatred anymore, literally everything about me... it's not amazing... I used to write and upload this story in much happier times when the only thing I had to learn to cope with was my anxiety and the panic attacks that came with it and trying to hold onto my breaking friendships with two people from high school (the only two people I trusted and cared about so deeply) and it turned out they didn't care at all that to them I was just a freak, a loser the same way everyone else at that school saw me. Those were the only things I had to deal with and not everything else I've been going through over those two years. (I'm sure I may have mentioned about this in the last A/N I wrote where it took me over five months to update anything for this book.)
Believe me it has been one hell of a rough ride and it's still pretty bad now. But I'm gonna Always Keep Fighting for you guys because I see your comments and read them with you all letting me know how much you love my stories and everything and believe me it means the world to me.
Until next time guys,
~ Ty
P.S. "Always Keep Fighting because You Are Not Alone, you just have to Love Yourself First." (Something I'm still learning to do. Yea, I also do realise that these are the campaign names of Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki's awareness campaigns for the SPNFamily - which I'm proud to say I'm a part of, both campaigns and the fandom - and everyone else but they mean a lot to me and are an inspiration. So bite me!)
