Akima's POV

Yesterday Norm and Jake linked with their avatars for the first time. Jake ran outside and through the compound in his hospital gown. Before stopping in the garden wiggling his toes in the dirt. Grace and I greeted him. I tossed him a fruit and he caught it with ease. Grace complimented his motor skills as Norm joined us. We got them proper clothes for their avatars. Then introduced them to the other avatars and showed them around our section of the compound. Before calling it a night and returning to our human bodies.

Today it's Norm and Jake's first trip off base in their avatar bodies. Jake will be guarding Grace and Norm while they collected samples. I myself will be going to see my pack and Loki. Jake loved the flight. He and I were the first off of the ship. Grace tells Trude to kill the engine as we were going to stay awhile.

"Stay with the ship, one idiot with a gun is a enough" Grace tells Wainfleet.

"You're the man doc" he states.

"Norm, your pack!" I shout.

"Pack!" he exclaims turning back to the ship and grabs it. We then enter the forest. "How will they know we're here?" he asks Grace and I.

"I'm sure they're watching us right now" Grace tells him. Oh, they are I think.

"I'm gonna go scout the area" I state.

"Is that safe?" Jake asks.

"Relax Marine, she knows the jungle better then anyone at the compound. She'll meet up with us later" Grace tells him. "Good luck, be careful" she tells me.

"Always am" I tell her with a smile and take off running through the forest. Once I was out of sight. I let out a call to my pack. Soon they appear and I smile at the pups.

'You are growing so big' I praise as I sat down letting the pups climb all over me. I spot the alpha female. 'Looking beautiful as always, you are doing a great job' I tell her.

'Thank you' she says grateful. Her pups run over to her whining for food. 'Sorry little ones, no food yet. But the hunting party should return soon' she assures them.

'How is the pack?' I ask.

'Getting bigger' the beta states. 'We had a good breeding season, just need to raise the pups to adult hood. Easier said then done' he adds.

'They will learn quickly and we will protect them from all dangers' the alpha female assures him. 'We should return to the pack' she adds. The pups whine and she gives them a look. I said good bye to them and left.

I set off to look for Loki and soon pick up his trail. I soon realize he was heading to where the others were and curse. I take off sprinting at top speed. I arrive to see Grace and Norm alone. "Where's Jake?" I ask them.

"Got chased away by a thanator" Norm states.

"Damn it, Loki" I grumble. "Get to the ship, I'll go after him. If you guys can't find us by nightfall, I'll ensure the avatar bodies are somewhere safe for the night" I tell them. I then take off following Jake and Loki's tracks.

I soon hear gun fire and Loki roar in anger. I curse and head towards the sound. I soon hear them running. I arrive at a cliff to see Loki looking over it roaring in anger. 'Loki!' I roar and he turns to me. 'What have I told you about attacking avatars?' I demand.

'Not too, but he ruined my hunt and had a weapon' he grumbles.

'I do not care, go hunt for something else' I tell him.

'Fine, will you be joining?' he asks me.

'No, I have to go find the avatar you ran off of this cliff' I tell him annoyed.

'How are you going to get down there?' he asks me curious looking at the water below.

'The same way Jake did, enjoy your hunt' I tell him as I back away. I take a running start and jump off of the cliff. I land in the water below and swim to shore. "If we survive this Jake, I'll kill you myself" I mutter to myself.

I look around and notice Jake no where in sight. Great, another hunt I think grumbling. I kneel down searching for his tracks. I soon find them and look up at the sun. I only have a couple hours to find a former marine before sunset. And find us a safe place to put our avatars for the night. Better get started, I follow his tracks silently. Not knowing I was being watched by a Na'vi.
