Akima's POV

I'm still tracking Jake, he moves fast. Which is annoying as it's night time now. I have to find him and safe place for our avatars. Suddenly I notice the familiar surroundings and stop. I look around and here viperwolves cackle. Oh no, we're on pack territory. They'll kill Jake to protect the den and he'll kill them trying to defend himself I thought and curse out loud. Before sprinting towards the sound of viperwolves.

Please don't let it be to late I think. I hear a yelp of pain. "Wiya!" I shout in Na'vi. (Translation: Damn-it). I hear more yelps as I see a fire ahead. I arrive to see Neytiri fighting off the wolves with her bow, defending Jack. 'Return to the den, now!' I order the pack with tears in my eyes.

They listen and run off. But I notice several of them dead. Neytiri looks around as I hear a whine of pain. 'Nahko' I cry and rush over to the dying alpha. I kneel beside him stroking his neck. As Neytiri put out Jake's torch.

'Is pack safe?' he whines.

'Yes' I tell him.

'It hurts' he cries.

'I'll take the pain away, rest in peace with Ewya' I tell him. Neytiri appears beside me with a knife. "Please, end his suffering" I beg her and she nods her head.

"Oeru txoa livu, ma oeyä tsmukan. Hu nawma sa'nok tivul ngeyä tirea. Oeru txoa livu" she says as she ended his life. (Translation: Forgive me, my brother. May your spirit run with the Great Mother. Forgive me). She took back her arrow as Jake kneels down beside us.

"I would have been screwed if you both hadn't come along" Jake tells us. I glare at him, it's his fault some of my pack is dead.

"You can go, I must gather the dead" I tell her. She nods her head and left. Jake follows her and some of the pack appears. 'They are gone, please bury them and I will see you all tomorrow. The pack is safe now' I tell them. They nod their heads and I go after Jake and Neytiri.

I arrive to see Neytiri wack Jake with her bow. "Whoa, damn!" he shouts.

"Don't thank! You don't thank for this! This is sad. Very sad, only" she tells him.

"She's right" I state.

"Okay, I'm sorry. Whatever I did, I'm sorry" Jake tells us.

"All this is your fault! They did not need to die" Neytiri tells him. Talking about the dead wolves.

"They attacked me. How'm I the bad guy here?" he asks. Neytiri silences him with the tip of her bow at his throat.

"Your fault" she snarls.

"They have pups Jake and you were near their den with fire. They were protecting their, like any other parent" I tell him.

"I didn't know" he admits.

"Obviously" I sneer.

"You are like a baby, making noise, don't know what to do" Neytiri tells him.

"Okay, fine, you love your little forest friends. So why not just let them kill my ass? What's the thinking?" Jake asks her. That's a good question I think to myself.

"Why save you?" Neytiri asks.

"Yeah, why save me?" Jake asks.

"You have a strong heart. No fear" she states. "But stupid! Ignorant like a child!" she declares before walking away. Jake goes after her.

"Jake, we don't have time for this" I tell him annoyed as I followed. "We have to find a safe spot for the avatars" I state. But he ignores me.

"Well, if I'm like a child, then look, maybe you should teach me" he tells Neytiri.

"Sky People cannot learn, you do not see" Neytiri tells him. As we leaped onto an elevated root. 'Whoa!' Jake exclaims surprised that he made it.

"Then teach me how to see" Jake tells her.

"No one can teach you to see" Neytiri tells him. She picks up her pace and Jake continues o follow her and me him.

"Hey, slow down!" he shouts. He stumbles and drops his wooden spear. He nearly fell over the edge with it. But Neytiri and I caught his arms. Steadying him. "We need your help" he tells her.

"No, we don't" I tell him.

"You both should not be here" Neytiri tells us.

"So take us with you" Jake says.

"No, go back" Neytiri tells him. She goes to leave and he places an arm on her shoulder. "Kehe!" she cries and turns to face him, pointing her bow at him. (Translation: no). "Go back" she repeats. Just then wood spirits appear around us.

"I've never seen so many before" I state. The wood spirits dance gently around Jake and my shoulders & head.

"What are they?" Jake asks Neytiri and I.

"Atokirina, seeds of the sacred tree. Very pure spirits" Neytiri states. (Translation: wood spirits). The wood spirits leave. Neytiri mutters something about a sign.

"What was that all about?" Jake asks us.

"No idea, but I think it was something of great significance" I tell him. Neytiri grabs our hands. We look at her.

"Come" she tells us. I frown in confusion, wasn't she just telling us to leave? Jake also looks confused. "Come" she repeats and we follow her through the glowing forest.
