Each member of Night Raid was introduced to me individually by Bulat.

It felt odd becoming acquainted with criminals but...

Actually no it was just weird.

"Everything okay?" Bulat asks me as he saw me zoning out.

"Ah, yeah. Just thinking." I smiled to hide my awkward thoughts. "I've got to go home and get my things."

"I'll come with." The younger boy, Tatsumi, offered as he was one of the only members of Night Raid who's face had never been seen before.

"If you don't mind." I accepted and we set off.

Going to be honest.

I got very lost.

Thankfully Tatsu, yes he's already gotten a nickname off of me, knew his way around well enough.

We managed to get to my parents shop and I was bombarded with questions from them as to why I had left at stupid o'clock and only left them with a vague note.

I contemplated what to tell them but Tatsu made up a pretty convincing lie.

"He was helping me save some people's lives. You see I'm a traveller and I ran into a bit of trouble with some danger beasts whilst I was with some friends of mine and Y/N here helped us out." He patted my shoulder before continuing. "And he's offered to help us for a while, since we're pretty much defenceless."

"How very honorable of you." My mum hugged me tightly, obviously proud of what she thought I'd done.

I'd actually just joined a group of assassins who's aim was to kill the Minister.

Not much difference.

"I'll go grab some things." I pushed my Mum away and rushed off to my room leaving Tatsu alone with my parents.

Sorry kid.

Half an hour later, we managed to escape and started to head back to the Base.

But we needed something else to go wrong.

"Heyyyy."

Shit.

I recognised the voice, even if it's much cheery now.

"Hey, your the guard from yesterday, how are you feeling?" I put on a smile and told Tatsu to go on ahead.

I didn't want him to ruin my moment talking to a cute girl.

"I'm doing A okay." She said, which kinda felt out of character based on the fact she glowed evil last night.

I also noticed the fact she had arms now...

Wait weren't they ripped off?

She must have caught me staring as she unintentionally rubbed her sleeves.

"They're robotic, Dr Stylish helped me." She muttered sadly. "But hey, it means that if those outlaws try to hurt me again I have a wildcard."

"That's great news, make sure to keep us safe... I never asked for your name?"

"The name is Seryu." She held out her hand for me to shake it. "And this here is Koro."

The dog on her shoulder barked sweetly at me.

Again, quite the contrast to 24 hours ago.

"I'm Y/N." I shook her hand and she didn't seem to want to let go. "Um... I'm sorry but people are expecting me."

"Ah sorry." She quickly pulled away whilst trying to regain her composure. "Koro, let's go fight for Justice!"

I watched as Seryu ran into the distance with her trust dog by her side.

"Aw." I let out a sigh before turning and walking towards the Base.

Fingers crossed I'd reach it this time.

So, I got a little bit lost but I managed to find my way eventually.

However by the time I made it it was already evening.

I walked through the door and found everyone sat around the dinner table about to start eating.

"Y/N, how'd it go with the girl." Tatsu teased and I rolled my eyes at him.

"What girl?" Mine asked, as everyone nodded in agreement.

"It's nobody, don't worry." I walked towards my room to put my things away but as soon as I got back the questions where bombarded again.

"Honestly, calm down." I waved my arms around as I placed some cookies on the table. "If you stop questioning me you can have some of the best cookies in the capital, deal?"

Akame didn't give anyone else a chance to argue before she threw herself at them.

Leone wasn't far after and then everyone took some...

I feel sorry for whoever cooked dinner because I've just ruined everyone's appetite.

"Now Y/N, spill." Sheele latched onto my arm after all the cookies had been demolished.

"Spill what?" I said trying hard to play innocent.

"The cute girl." Sheele whispered trying her best to either be seductive or cute.

I'm not sure, but it was working.

"Who said she was cute?" I said and she froze. "Tatsu..."

The young boy tried his best to look innocent but all of me wanted to punch him in the nose.

Except for the fact I was still being pinned down by Sheele.

"Who is she Y/N?" Leone spoke up this time, latching onto my other arm.

Why do they have to be so clingy?

Actually don't complain Y/N, there are boobs literally pressing against you.

"You don't want to know."

How would Mine and Sheele react if the guard that had almost killed them... I had decided to flirt with.

Actually this was a stupid idea.

Why did I not think this through?

Why am I questioning everything?

Kill me now.

"Y/N..." Sheele whispered in my ear again making me shiver.

"Fuck, stop please." I tried to shake of both the girls but they were having none of it.

"This isn't fair, why is the new guy getting all the girls." Lubbock shouted thankfully drawing the attention off of me and ending the Seryu conversation entirely.

That night, I shared a few drinks with the rest of Night Raid.

Apparently the boss had gone off to see the rest of the army or something so they had some time off.

Now I'm not a light weight by any means, but the girls certainly were.

"Y/N." Mine was completely gone and had gone from her usual uptight self to... almost cat like. "Pet me."

I lightly rubbed her head and she lay her head on my knee.

"No f-fairrr." Leone decided as she walked to Tatsu and pressed herself against his back, you could almost see the blood rush out of his nose. "If Mine gets Y/N I call Tatsumi."

"W-wait." Sheele started before being cut of by a staggering Akame.

"Noo, I call Y/N."

Honestly it was giving me a headache.

Especially since Lubbock had gone and sat in a corner ruing my existence and saying how if I wasn't here he'd be getting all the girls.

Bulat was the designated... sober person?

He didn't drink anything and he was in charge of putting the girls to bed if they got too drunk.

Which he was now doing with Leone.

Bulat's imperial arms was literally a suit of armour so bitch scratches from the girls weren't going to faze him so it seemed only natural that it was him that helped.

"Just do as the big guy says Kitty." I said as Leone tried her hardest to get away from Bulat.

"Yes master. Meow." She said winking at me and I just let out a sigh.

This was so much for one night.

After dragging everyone else off to bed it was just me, Bulat and the now asleep on my knee Mine.

"I'll take her to bed, you can get some rest." I continued to pet Mine's hair whilst whispering to Bulat.

He just nodded in agreement and I could tell how sleepy he was.

He stumbled off in the direction of the rooms as I started to feel sleepy myself.

Maybe it was the first real sense of quiet I'd had in a while.

Or the fact that something warm was cuddling up to me, but I was getting tired and fast.

But with that last thought I fell asleep where I was sat against the wall.
