The whole family members looked at the young man holding his glas of wine up and also stood ip from his chair.

„Thank you all for comming to my birthday dinner and thank you for the gifts! I really liked them all, but the only gift i like the most came from aunty and uncle." said haider turning to his girlfriend's parents.

Ayush and Namrata smiled at him. Meera was sitting next to them and knew he meant her as his gift.

„I think now that you all know about meera and my relationship..it's time for us to take another step forward. Meera." he said and told her to stand up.

She stood up and everyone applauded. Meera chuckled and stood infront of haider, the love of her life.

„Meera, i think i donmt have to tell you how much i love you." said haider holding her hand.

„Everytime i'm with you..i feel relaxed and loved. I can feel the strength of our love. And i decided to live my whole live with this feeling."

Meera's eyes got big and she looked around.

„Haider..are you.."

Haider got on one knee and the ladies in the room ‚aawed' them. The teenagers took their phones out and started filming this beautiful moment.

„Meera kapoor..will you marry me ?" asked haider looking into her eyes.

Meera just smiled and her family members gave her a sign to say yes. Meera looked at heider and nodded.

„Yes." she said and hugged him tight. Haider smiled too and hugged her back. Haider out the ring in her finger and kissed her hand. They all stood up and congratulated the now engaged couple.

Haider's best friend, Aahil stood infront of him and congratulated him too.

„Congratulations bro." he said hugging him.

„Thank you." said haider and broke the hug.

„I think we should celebrate this with our style." said aahil with a naughty smile.

„Nahi yaar, i can't just leave. They came here for my birthday."

„Come on haider, i know you want it!" said aahil loud enough for meera, who talking with her cousins, to her it.

„Excuse me." said meera to her cousins and walked to them.

„Aahil no! I can't.."

„You can't what?" asked meera.

Haider turned and gave her a fake smile.

„Meera hi.." he said.

„Meera, good you're here. I told haider to celebrate your engagement with a little party. I mean only we men, if that's okey for you?"

Haider saw meera's face and turned again to aahil.

„Aahil i won't come. You can leave with the others but i'll stay here. It's my birthday."

„Vahin toh."

Haider turned to meera and saw a little smile on her face. She looked into his eyes and held his hand.

„Haider, it's your birthday. Do whatever you want to do, go and celebrate with your friends."

„Is that really okey for you?" asked haider worried.

„Haan baba." said meera and smiled.

Haider smiled too.

„Thank you meera! Haider come on let's go now!" said aahil and pulled haider out of the expensive restaurant. Meera just shaved at him and turned back to her family.

BEACH

„So Haider, many many congratulations to your engagement with meera!" said aahil who was a little drunk.

„Yes! Congratulations!" said another friend holding up his beer.

Haider just smiled looking ag his drunk friends.

„But man, kash.." said Aahil looking up to the sky.

Haider looked at him.

„Kya hua bhai?" asked haider his drunk friend.

„Haider..i know you're really happy with meera! And you both are a beautiful couple! Really! But did you forget noor that fast?"

Haider's smile flew away.

Noor.

That was her name. Haider just took a bottle of beer and started drinking it.

„Oye! I thought you stopped?" asked another friend.

Haider finished the bottle and threw it away.

„Arre bhai, tell us about that noor. Come on."

Haider just looked at them. They all smiled at him.

„Please.." they all said and made him chuckle.

„Give me another bottle of beer and i'll tell you who that girl is." said haider.

Aahil smiled and gave him another bottle of beer. Haider opened it and took another long drink.

„It was 2 years ago. My career as an author was like this." said haider and showed them a thumbs up.

„As i started getting more and more money, i suddenly didn't know what to do with it. The wedding anniversary of my parents was about to come, so i decided to take them on a trip to switzerland."

„Wah! You have the best ideas man." said the drunk friend beside him.

„I don't know if that was my best..or my worst idea. Because that trip changed the way i saw life forever." said haider and took the attention of everybody on that beach.

„Tell us more man please!"

„Theek hain.." he said and took another long drink of his beer.

„When we arrived at our appertement, mom was freaking out." said haider.

PAST

„Haider beta! You must have spent a lot of money for this!"

Haider rolled his eyes as his mother was a real drama queen.

„Arre he did that for us, you don't have to be worried. And he can enjoy his vacation too. Haina beta?"

Haider just nodded his head and smiled.

„Come on let's take our clothes into the wardrobe." said haider's father sameer.

„I chose the penthouse apartement on the lake side of lucerne. This city was really different from mumbai. I walked around the apartement and got out on the terrace. Man what a view."

Haider stood by the terrace and looked at the beautiful lake.

„Haye Haider! Can you get us something to eat? I'm really hungry."

„Haan mom, what do you want?"

„I want something typical indian. Please buy something from india na.."

Haider's eyes got big.

„Okey.."

„No, haider we will go out and eat for dinner in a restaurant."

„That's a good idea dad, mom come on lets go. I want to see the city." said haider.

„Theek hain.." said naina a little disappointed.

Haider smiled and hugged his mother from behind.

„Don't worry maa, i'll cook and indian dish for you soon. Promise." he said and kissed her cheek.

„That's more my haider." he said and cupped his face.

AT THE RESTAURANT ‚LUZ SEEBISTRO'

„Wow! Now we can eat and have a look on the city!" said naina happy.

„Haan! Better than to stare at a wall."

„Dad!" said haider and told him to not make naina angry on their vacation.

„Come let's sit here." said haider.

They waited for a some minutes and then a waiter came with the book of menus.

„Good evening. What would you like to drink?"

„Something non alcoholic please." said sahil.

„Well, we have still water, sparkling water, soft drinks.." said the swiss waiter in english to communicate with them.

„I'll take a coke." said haider.

„Allright." said the waiter and wrote in down on his little notebook.

„And you mam? What would you like to drink?" he asked and came closer to naina.

„Eh..water." said naina who didn't know english very well.

„Still or sparkling?" asked the waiter.

„Ehh.."

„Still, please." said haider.

„Allright. And you sir?"

„Still water please. But can you give us the food, cause that's more important."

„Dad!" said haider who felt awkward.

„Of course sir, just tell me what you want to have for dinner and you'll get your food in less than 30 minutes." said the waiter.

„Well, just give me the best thing you have." said sahil who found out on the waiter's act that he wa gay and looked at him with a strange look on his face.

„Okey." said the waiter and wanted to leave.

„Eh stop, young man. But..it shouldn't be with pork. We are muslims." said sahil.

„Oh, i'm afraid. We don't have something else on our menulist. Do you want something vegetarian?"

„Don't you have something with chicken?" asked sahil.

„Dad.." said haider who saw that the waiter was getting angry with his fathers behaving.

„Sir, i just told you that everything we have on our menulist is with pork. We don't have chicken." said the waiter angry.

„Theek hain, but why are you getting angry. I'll just go somewhere else." said sahil and stood up.

Haider and naina also stood up.

„Dad what are you doing? Listen buddy..i'm sorry for his behaving."

„Ugh! I can't take it with you indians! NOOR!"

„Noor? Kaun hain yeh noor? Are you looking for some light or what?" asked sahil.

„Dad just relax please, you're making a scene." said haider.

„Excuse me."

They all turned around and saw her. She was wearing a white shirt and black trousers. Her hair was tied in a ponytale. Her make up was natural. She gave gave them a cute smile.

„And that was the day i met noor for the first time. And with her i got to know what love at first sight really meant. She was like a light..like a bright light. Shining so bright that..that i forgot the people around me."
