Anna revealed that there is going to be a royal ball in London and that they should go and check it out.
Duke is hitting on Anna.

Chapter 6

Duke walks over to Gordon's office. As head of the police department, it's only right that he informs him of their plan to check out the royal ball at the tower of London.

He stands right in front of Gordon's door, contemplating on whether to tell him about it or not.

Deep down himself, he knows he doesn't want to. Not because he is scared. But because Gordon is the sort of person you don't wanna have hanging around your neck.

"It's either you come in or go away son." Gordon speaks from inside his office.

Duke however is startled and broken in thought.

Obviously Gordon can make out his figure through the glass door. He gently pushes the door open and enters. Allowing it to close with a gentle thud behind him.

"We're attending the royal ball." Duke says. "We figured if the criminal is more into luxurious items then perhaps a royal ball is the best place to go shopping."

Gordon keeps his head down with a smoke pipe in his mouth. He appears to be reading some sort of magazine.
Duke stares at him quietly as he keeps reading the magazine.

Then he finally lifts his head to look at Duke who stands with both hands in his coat pockets.

"You know duke, you've really got a knack for trouble. Considering the fact that you are planning on raiding a royal ball." He finally breaks the deafening silence.

"I suppose I learnt that from you."

"What I'm I, your dad?"

" I wouldn't dream of it Gordon."

Gordon gets off his desk and faces the huge glass window behind him.

As usual, it displays a beautiful aerial view of the city. Or so he thinks.Being one of the tall buildings in the city only rewards you with an excellent view such as this.

"Detective McCoy is in town" Gordon says as he turns to face Duke.

"I know. I've seen him."

" Where?" He asks. Eyes widening.

"At the national museum. A day after the artefact got stolen."

" Did you speak to him?"

"Yeah. Not for long. I must say. I don't really trust him. He's been involved in a lot of murder cases before his disappearance." He says, shrugging his shoulders.

Gordon gently walks back and forth between his office chair and the huge class window behind him, stroking his chin gently.

" I must say, I don't really trust him either. I haven't found a reason to anyway. Despite his innocent looking face."

" So you think he has something to do with these jewel disappearances?"

Gordon moves back to sit in his chair. "That is your job to do Duke."

THE AIRPORT

"We've got twenty minutes till our flight takes off. More time for you to go to the bathroom." Anna teases.

"You know, you're one funny lady.
Anyway. When does the ball start?"

"Its tonight. Tower of London. We've got time." Anna says as they head to flight board.

"I've already checked us in. Everything is ready." They head on to the departure room and go on to get scanned.

Anna leads as they enter the plane to find their seats.

"One more thing anna. We don't even know who we are to look out for." Duke says with his eyes rolling.

"Well I've got a few profiles of some of the country's top criminals that I expect to show up." She takes her seat with a big sigh and Duke sits right next to her.

She takes out her P.D.A and on it is a man with a big bushy beard. His violent eyes fixed in their narrow sockets. Hair messy black with lots of tattoos on his neck.

"Jeremy Ryan. Has criminal record of stealing from a local bank in New York...."

Duke sighs with a mixture of relief and worry. Relief because he is getting away from his many girlfriends for a while and especially Gordon.

Worry for fear that they can't pull the case off. This is his very first case where he has no clue who his target is.

It all looks so mixed up to him.
And to think that McCoy has a hand in this. It's been years since he disappeared.

And all of a sudden he just returns. Some courage he has, to show his face around this parts again.

Although he had cleared his innocence and his name, he still finds something awfully threatening about him.

But he doesn't know what exactly. He would have to keep a close eye on him. Just to be sure of things.
