Chapter1

Morning at the Rajvanshi Mansion:

Diya woke up early as usual, the first rays of the sun barely filtering through the curtains. She noticed Raghav sleeping on the couch, his face softened in sleep, a stark contrast to his usual stern demeanor. With a sigh, she quietly got out of bed, careful not to wake him, and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.

Once ready, Diya dressed in a simple, elegant saree and went to the small temple within the house. She lit the diya, the warm glow reflecting in her eyes as she whispered a silent prayer for her sisters and for the strength to face whatever the day might bring. This morning ritual gave her a sense of peace, a small moment of solace before the chaos of the day began.

After finishing her prayers, Diya headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. As she was finishing up, her mother-in-law (MIL) and father-in-law (FIL) entered the dining area.

"Good morning, Maa, Papa," Diya greeted them warmly.

"Good morning, beta," her MIL responded with a smile, pleased as always with Diya's early morning efficiency.

Just then, Virat strolled in, his usual cheerful self. "Good morning, Bhabhi," he said, grinning as he pulled out a chair.

"Good morning, Virat," Diya replied, serving him some parathas.

Soon after, Raghav and Ansh joined them at the table. Raghav gave Diya a brief nod, which she returned with a polite smile, while Ansh greeted everyone with a cheerful "Good morning!"

As everyone settled down to enjoy breakfast, the conversation naturally turned to the upcoming engagement of Ansh and Aditi. The excitement was palpable, with everyone sharing their thoughts on the arrangements, the guest list, and the outfits.

"I think we should keep it simple yet elegant," Raghav suggested, his business-like tone breaking through the familial warmth.

Ansh, who was clearly more interested in Aditi's preferences, added, "I'll talk to Aditi today and see what she has in mind. It's her day too, after all."

Virat chimed in, teasing Ansh about his newfound concern for wedding details, which led to some light-hearted banter around the table.

Diya listened quietly, her mind partly on the conversation and partly on her own thoughts. The engagement was a big deal for the family, and while she was happy for Ansh and Aditi, she couldn't help but feel a pang of loneliness. The talk of weddings and family only reminded her of the sisters she was still searching for.

At Aditi's Place:

Aditi was seated in the living room, surrounded by papers and notes as her mother, Meera, helped her finalize the guest list for the engagement.

The air was filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation."I'm so happy that you're getting engaged to such a good man," Meera said with a contented smile, her eyes gleaming with pride.

Aditi smiled back, appreciating her mother's support. "I know, Maa. Ansh is everything I could have hoped for."

After some time, Aditi prepared to leave for an important meeting. She gathered her things and headed out, her mind focused on work. The meeting went smoothly, as expected, and once it was over, Aditi decided to unwind a bit before heading back home.

She stopped by a cozy café she often visited, hoping to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee. As Aditi was settling into her seat, she noticed someone familiar entering the café—Diya.

Diya spotted Aditi as well and walked over with a warm smile."Aditi," Diya greeted, "I wasn't expecting to see you here."

Aditi looked pleasantly surprised. "Diya Bhabhi! How are you?""I'm good,"

Diya replied, taking a seat across from her. "How about you?"Aditi nodded, her smile reflecting her happiness. "I'm doing well, just wrapping up some work."

They talked for a while, exchanging pleasantries and discussing the upcoming engagement.

Diya's tone became more sincere as she said, "Aditi, I'm sure that Ansh will keep you very happy. He's a good man... I can assure you of that."

Aditi's eyes softened with gratitude. "I know, Bhabhi. He really is a perfect man."

Just as they were enjoying their conversation, Diya's phone rang. She glanced at the screen, and her expression changed to one of urgency. "I'm sorry, Aditi, but I need to leave. There's an emergency at the hospital."

Aditi quickly nodded, understanding the situation. "Of course, Bhabhi. Go ahead."Diya stood up, giving Aditi a quick smile before bidding her goodbye and rushing out of the café.

As Aditi watched her leave, she felt a renewed sense of confidence about her future with Ansh, knowing that Diya, who clearly cared for her, believed in their match.

At Priyanka's Home:

Priyanka was having dinner with her parents, enjoying a quiet evening at home. The conversation was light until her mother casually mentioned, "We have to go to the engagement of Ansh Rajvanshi next week."

Priyanka's heart skipped a beat, and she almost choked on her food. Ansh Rajvanshi—her boyfriend Virat's brother—was getting engaged. The reality of the situation suddenly felt overwhelming. She quickly composed herself, finished her dinner, and excused herself to her room.

Once in her room, Priyanka immediately called Virat, her voice trembling as she recounted what her mother had said. "Virat, my parents are attending Ansh's engagement next week. What are we going to do?"

Virat, sensing her anxiety, tried to reassure her. "Don't worry, Priyanka. Everything will be fine. We just need to stay calm."

Just as Virat was trying to console Priyanka, Diya suddenly entered his room for some work. She noticed Virat was on the phone and overheard enough to realize that he was in a relationship with Priyanka.

Surprised, Diya confronted Virat once he ended the call. Virat, seeing no point in hiding it anymore, pleaded, "Please, Bhabhi, don't tell anyone. I'll tell them when the time is right."Diya looked at him thoughtfully before nodding. "Okay, I won't say anything. But, Virat, make sure you're sure about this relationship. It's a big step."

Virat sighed in relief and said, "Thank you, Bhabhi. I promise I am." He then headed to the study room where Raghav and Ansh were waiting for him.

Late Night at the Rajvanshi Mansion:

At 1 AM, the mansion was silent as everyone slept. Diya and Raghav were in bed when Diya's phone rang, pulling her from her sleep. She checked the caller ID and quickly realized it was the hospital—there was an emergency.

As she began to get ready, Raghav woke up, noticing her urgency. "Do you need me to drop you at the hospital?" he asked, his voice still heavy with sleep.

Diya shook her head. "It's okay, Raghav. I'll go on my own. It's late, and you should sleep. I'll message you once I reach."Raghav hesitated but finally nodded. "Alright. Just be careful."

Diya quickly left, and as she drove to the hospital, she couldn't help but think about everything that had happened that day.

The secrets, the relationships, and the growing complexity of their lives—it all weighed heavily on her mind as she prepared for another long night at work.
