~Logan's POV~

I wake up. I glance over to the clock- it is 7:30 AM. I go to grab my phone, but I realize that Patton has snuggled into me in his sleep. I sigh.

I don't like human contact that much. Hugs, high-fives, handshakes. But I don't mind it with Patton. It seems I definitely have a crush on him.

I'm able to grab my phone without waking the boy. With him still sleep-cuddling me, I scroll through Twitter.

~One Hour Later~

I feel Patton start to move. I look down at him as he opens his eyes.

He realizes he is cuddling me and quickly sits up.

"Oh- sorry. I, uh, do that in my sleep. A lot."

I didn't mind, I think to myself. I see Patton blush.

"Did I say that out loud?" I quietly whisper to myself.

"Well- uh, lets go get breakfast. I wanna see Dolly again!" Patton quickly changes the subject.

We get dressed and make our way to the
beach restaurant. Patton and Dolly see each other, and start towards each other.

Patton sits cross-legged on the ground as Dolly climbs into his lap.

"Hey bub! How ya doing?" Patton asks the cat as he strokes her head.

Dolly meows. Patton sneezes.

Dolly climbs out of his lap. Patton holds out his arms to the cat, and Dolly climbs into them. He carries her inside.

"Let's get some food!" Patton says to both of us.

~An Hour Later~

~Patton's POV~

Currently, I am talking to one of the waitresses.

"..no, I've never seen her be so friendly! You might as well take her home!"

I smile wide. "Was that a joke, or is that actually a thing I could do?"

"Well, we keep the cats up-to-date on vaccines to keep them healthy so they don't die in the resort. I could provide you with vaccination certificates, most likely tomorrow, and you could take her home!"

I quickly turn to Logan. "Can we, Lo? Can we??"

He gives me a confused look. "Patton, we do not live together."

Oh yeah. I keep forgetting that.

I give a nervous chuckle. "Oh, right. Uh, then yeah! I'll get the forms tomorrow, and I can adopt the little goober!"

I stroke Dolly as she purrs. I sneezes again.

"Alright, Dolly, I have to go now, but I'll see you tomorrow!" I quickly  plant a small kiss on Dolly's head. Dolly meows, and walks away.

"Did.. did the cat just understand you?" Asks Logan, confused.

"I guess so!" I flash a big smile.

"Let's go swim!"

~That Night~

~Logan's POV~

I am brushing my teeth, when Patton walks in the bathroom.

"Logan, it's raining! I thought that wouldn't happen in Jamaica.."

"It won't last long, Pat. It's most likely just a small thunderstorm."

As if on que, we hear thunder outside.

Patton slightly jumps at the sound. "O-okay."

I finish brushing my teeth, and climb into bed next to Patton.

After a bit, he turns off the light.

As I lay in bed, trying to fall asleep, I begin to notice Patton whimpering every time thunder or lightning is heard.

"Are you okay, Pat?" I ask.

"I'm j-just scared of thu- of lightning.." he says quickly.

Another lightning strike is heard. He curls into a ball, facing me.

Well then. I do not want to let him be scared. I should comfort him.

I move closer to him and pull him into a hug. "It's alright, Patton."

Patton hugs me back, and we end up cuddling for a while.

I hear his breathing steady. He's asleep.

His arms are around my neck, legs wrapped around my waist, head buried into my chest.

I smile gently and hug him closer, falling asleep myself.
