You're now sitting on Dr. Kang's couch as you stare over at her.
She smiles over at you before she tilts her head to the side.
"So... what brings you in here today?" she questions. "We usually meet once a week but this week, you wanted a second session. Is everything okay?" You nod your head before shrugging your shoulder.
"I know..." you state. "I've been having some negative thoughts lately."
She stares over at you for a second, eyebrows furrowed as he grows worried.
"What kind of negative thoughts?" she questions.
"So... you know how I have a boyfriend who was on those last flights I was stewarding on, right?" she nods her head. "His management said they'd make a plan for us to continue seeing each other but I'm losing hope. I'm starting to think that he stopped loving me or that his group or company hate me." You continue.
She pauses before setting down her notebook.
"Y/N, I'm so glad that you're getting to know yourself enough to know when you need to see me." She states. "It's such a big progress knowing that you can identify your triggers and can prevent potential triggers from affecting you too much." You smile softly as she says this.
"So, does that mean I'm getting better with myself?" you question. She nods before setting down her notebook.
"I'm very proud of you." She immediately states.
"Thank you." You say quietly before she asks you more things.
"So, what makes you think that he doesn't love you anymore?" she questions.
"I haven't heard from him in a few weeks... it was expected because his management team said he won't be able to but I didn't expect it to be this long." You state.
She nods her head and continues to take notes.
The therapy session continues with you telling Dr. Kang about your negative and anxious thoughts. She continued to talk you through these negative thoughts and helped you realize that these things aren't in your control. She helped you realize that Hoseok gave you his gifts for a reason and he wouldn't have devoted so much time to you if he didn't see it being long term.
You left that therapy session less anxious and insecure than you were when you walked in.
Sitting in the taxi, you look down at your phone and stare at the old text messages from Hoseok.
Calm down.
Dr. Kang explained that there could just be a delay in the process because of this pandemic. They could be filming something where they're not allowed to have phones. They could be having a music-making session where they aren't allowed to rest until a new song is written.
Just listen to her, Y/N. She's thinking rationally and has given you no reason to doubt.
You trust Hoseok. You can use this time for self-improvement.
Closing the text messages, you go onto Twitter and see what's going on in the world.
Almost as if answering or confirming your questions, the trending topics on Twitter reveal something to you.
Things like 'WHERE IS BTS,' 'No Run BTS,' and 'OMG SECRET PROJECT' are trending.
You arch an eyebrow as you see this before starting to look at the multiple trends, examining what could be going on.
Apparently Run BTS is now on a break. No one has seen BTS since the dispatch photos of them arriving home were released. People are speculating that they're working on new music, shooting more content, or that they're on a resting period.
You know it's not the last option because of the fact that BigHit likes announcing when BTS is taking a break to prevent chaos from ensuing.
Biting onto your lower lip, you feel relieved as you immediately scold yourself for assuming the worst in this situation. They're BTS for crying out loud, obviously they're going to be busy and not have a lot of time to be taking care of a little plan for you and Hoseok. If there's an album coming out, that clearly takes priority over your dating issue.
After all, Hoseok is bound to a contract. He needs to make sure he's doing his job. The contract even outlines the fact that he needs to put his career first before any personal life things.
"Miss, we're at your stop." You look up from your phone and see the driver looking back at you.
"Ah, thank you." You say before unbuckling your seatbelt. Getting out of the car, you start to walk towards the entrance of the apartment building.
Tucking your phone into your pocket, you get into the elevator, waving at the neighbors you know. Leaning against the elevator, you wait for it to get to your floor.
Once on your floor, you get into your apartment and start making yourself a meal.
Jisoo is going to come over in a little bit to start planning what décor both of you can and can't keep. You already contacted the landlord about getting a new apartment once your lease is up. She happily agreed to start giving tours of two bedroom apartments for you and Jisoo.
Your phone beeps while you're waiting for Jisoo.
"Oh, finally." You say as you read your screen.
Jisoo: I'm here!
You set down your bowl of ramen onto the coffee table in front of you. Once this is done, you make your way towards the apartment door and open it to see Jisoo standing there with a smile on her face.
"Good news," she says before walking into the apartment past you. This causes you to let out a soft laugh before shaking your head as you close the door behind her. "Hoyeon said she wants to give us a tour of one of the apartments today. You take another bite of ramen as she speaks before furrowing your eyebrows as you look up at her.
"And why'd she tell you and not me?" you question. She shrugs her shoulders before holding up her phone. You look at her phone as she shows you a picture of a gift basket filled with candy, different meats, and a bunch of other foods and snacks. "You bribed her?" you question.
Jisoo smiles smugly before shrugging a shoulder.
"Believe it or not, it works 90% of the time!" You let out a soft laugh before nodding your head.
"Well, if it worked." You say before shrugging a shoulder. "What time do we have to be there?"
"In about fifteen minutes so finish your ramen and let's get going!" she says while pointing down at the bowl of ramen that you're already mostly done with.
"Chill! I only have like four bites left." You say before rolling your eyes as you see her placing her hands on her hips. "This apartment is in this building... right?" she nods her head eagerly.
"Mhm... and I've already seen it online and it's gorgeous." She states. You let out a soft laugh before shaking your head.
"You're telling me the lady who created this room," you say while gesturing around your living room in the apartment. "Created some other gorgeous apartment? Pretty unbelievable if you ask me." You respond.
"I'm telling you, it's a nice apartment." She states. "The kitchen compared to yours right now is to die for." You nod your head before picking up your now empty bowl of ramen. Stepping into your kitchen you place the bowl into your sink. You wash it quickly before stepping back towards your front door, starting to put your shoes on.
"Alright, let's go see this gorgeous apartment." You say, imitating the way she described it. This earns a soft slap on your arm before you two step out of your apartment, locking the door behind you.
*-> *-> *-> *-> *-> *-> *-> *-> *-> *-> *-> *-> *->
"I can't believe the apartment actually looks like that." You say while looking over at Ho-yeon. She lets out a soft laugh before nodding her head.
"I make the two-to-three bedroom apartments a little more stylish." She states as the three of you walk towards the elevator together. "I honestly don't have many one-bedroom applicants in this building so I don't invest too much into those apartments." You shake your head as you look over at her.
"You should really consider investing in them. When Jisoo told me the two-bedroom apartment was nicer, I had my doubts... no offense." You state. She lets out a soft laugh.
"No, I get it. You thought they'd be the same. Maybe I should invest in getting all of my apartments fixed up a little. Those kitchens have been bugging me for a while." She states. You nod your head in agreement. Jisoo decides to speak up next.
"I like the kitchen design you have in the two and three bedroom apartments. I think you should do something similar in the one bedroom apartments just for consistency." She states. Ho-yeon nods her head before shrugging.
"Maybe that'll be my next project on this building then. Thanks for the suggestions, ladies." She states as you finally arrive at the elevator.
"Any time!" Jisoo states.
"Let me know if you're interested in renting out that apartment. I'd gladly start the process for it once your contract is up on the single bedroom apartment, Y/N." she says while giving you a friendly smile.
"Yeah, we'll let you know. Thank you." You say. Jisoo and you enter the elevator as Ho-yeon gets stopped in the hall by a tenant with a few questions for her.
She says goodbye to both of you and you two quickly close the elevator doors. As the elevator moves, Jisoo breaks the silence.
"So... you get it now, huh?" you nod your head as she says this while laughing.
"I honestly regret not believing you. I should've known you would pick a good apartment." You state.
"Is that a yes to moving into that one?" she questions eagerly, a wide smile forming on her face and her eyebrows lifting as she asks. You nod your head.
"Yeah! I like it." You state.
"Yes!" she states before the elevator door opens on your floor.
You two exit the elevator and begin making your way down the hall to your apartment door.
While walking, you two begin discussing more details about the apartment. That is, until Jisoo grows quiet.
You look over at her with furrowed eyebrows, confused as to why she randomly stopped talking. She has her mouth wide open, eyes wide, and isn't blinking.
"Are you okay?" you ask. She immediately smacks your arm and points towards your apartment door where a tall man is standing.
Not just any man, however.
It's the one and only Kim Namjoon.
You automatically step closer to the apartment door, catching his attention as he looks over at you.
"Y/N!" he greets.
"Namjoon, what are you doing here?" you question. "You can't be standing outside of random apartments by yourself, it's not safe for you." You immediately scold. Namjoon merely smiles at this, dimples now exposing themselves to you.
"I'm not by myself." He immediately states before stepping to the side, revealing Hoseok.
Your eyes widen and you immediately feel your heart speeding up inside of your chest.
"Hi, baby." He greets.
The second you hear his voice, you rush towards him and practically jump onto him. Namjoon merely laughs as he watches you two embrace one another.
Jisoo is standing a safe distance away from the scene which draws Namjoon's attention.
Upon seeing that she's not freaking out, he steps towards her slowly.
"Hi... are you Jisoo? Y/N's friend?" Jisoo just continues to stare over at Namjoon. This causes him to slowly look around the hallway, not sure of what else to do.
Hoseok is now pressing his lips against yours. You two kiss for a few seconds before you speak up.
"What happened?" you ask as you stare up at him. "You changed your number, haven't tried getting ahold of me for a few days, and I was getting worried." You share.
This causes Hoseok's smile to falter as he stares down at you.
"I'm sorry I made you worry. We had some other projects to focus on before I could focus on getting a game plan ready for us." He states. "I didn't think it would take as long as it did." You nod your head as he says this.
"So, BigHit is okay with us being together?" Hoseok nods. "And you're still into me?" you ask, causing Namjoon to laugh all of a sudden from near you two.
"Are you kidding? He wouldn't shut up about you during our project. The reason he had to get a new phone number is so that he wouldn't text you and give away what our project was." Namjoon reasons. You part your lips as you stare up at Hoseok.
"Oh..." you drag on before letting out a soft laugh. Hoseok smiles lovingly down at you before pressing his lips onto yours once more.
"You didn't think I'd ghost you after the flights, did you? I don't tell just anyone that I love them." Hoseok says. You smile widely up at him.
"I..." Jisoo is finally able to speak up, despite the fact that it's already been a few minutes since Namjoon asked if she was your friend. "Yes, I'm Jisoo!" she states while staring over at Namjoon. She's smiling widely over at him, clearly nervous but trying to put on a confident front to not embarrass herself.
Namjoon laughs softly before nodding his head.
"Hello, nice to meet you. Y/N has told us quite a bit about you." He states.
She grows quiet again, merely starstruck as she now needs a few minutes to process what he said. You let out a laugh at this before looking up at Hoseok.
"So, now that I'm here and we know that it'll take her a few minutes to say something..." he states while staring down at you, taking one of your hand in both of his. "I have an offer for you from BigHit." You widen your eyes as he says this.
"What?" you question.
"Before you ask, yes he's being serious." Namjoon states, causing your attention to shift to him for a few seconds.
"Yes, I'm serious." Hoseok states before speaking again. "BigHit Entertainment would like to offer you a job position."
"A job position?" you question. Hoseok nods.
"How would you like to be our flight attendant slash feedback committee?" he questions.
"Feedback committee?" Hoseok nods and Namjoon is now speaking up.
"After you gave Hoseok some feedback about 'Blue Side,' he ended up releasing the full version of it and the amount of views he got on it was pretty crazy." He states. "We'd like you to be our flight attendant on days when we fly and on days when we're not flying, you will be with us in the studio providing feedback about concert setlists, song lists, photoshoot ideas, etc. If you'd like to do it, that is."
You stare at the two men as they offer this to you.
"Is this the solution to our dating situation?" you question. Hoseok nods.
"You'll be working for us so no one will find anything suspicious, you'll be around us pretty much daily so we won't have to do any long distance, and since you'll be with us daily, you'll have protection from our security 24/7." He smiles down at you before gently squeezing your hands. "What do you say?" he asks.
"Well... if I was stupid, I'd say 'I don't mix business and pleasure.'" You state, causing Namjoon and Hoseok to laugh.
"It's a little late for that, mile high club member." Namjoon mumbles, causing you to narrow your eyes at him for a second. He holds his hands up defensively.
"But lucky for the seven of you, I'm smart. I'll take the job." You state. This causes Hoseok to let out an excited noise before quickly picking you up and spinning you.
"Yes!!!" he excitedly exclaims. Namjoon merely smiles widely and nods his head proudly.
"What did Y/N say about me?!" Jisoo suddenly speaks up, causing everyone to look over at her. Her eyes are wide as she looks over at the three of you. "Wait... what did I miss while I was thinking of a response?"
"You're looking at the newest BigHit employee." Namjoon says while pointing over at you. You nod and smile widely.
"What?" Jisoo questions, bewildered. "Why the fuck didn't you snap me out of my starstruck phase to tell me this?!" she exclaims, causing everyone to laugh.
Jisoo continues to scold the three of you, finally able to hold a conversation like a normal person rather than a computer stuck on a loading screen. Namjoon is now talking to her and she's no longer in a trance.
You and Hoseok? You two are holding hands and smiling at one another, ready for your new job to start next week.
"You know, you inspired me a lot while being with me, Y/N." Hoseok states. "Maybe I should write a song about you."
"Oh, you haven't already written something about me?" you tease, causing Hoseok to laugh. "What would you call the first song you write about me, hm?" you question. Hoseok smiles.
"Airplane Pt. 3." He responds, causing you to laugh.
*****
AAAAAAND THIS CONCLUDES AIRPLANE PT. 3!!!
I hope you guys liked this story as much as I liked writing it. It was so fun to imagine what it'd be like to fly with BTS. It also was nice to use this story to promote getting help with mental health/trauma and going to therapy. Most people are normalizing it but there are still some generations that don't believe in therapy and/or getting help. This is why I wanted to promote it so that anyone who might be doubting whether they should seek the help they need can see that there are really good therapists/resources out there who can help. Getting help doesn't make you "weak" or "broken" or "crazy," it's just doing what your mind needs and helping yourself.
Thank you so much for all of the support on Airplane Pt. 3. If you liked this story, please feel free to check out my other stories Voyeurism, Chef's Kiss, Love on the Pole, and my future Taehyung story.
Speaking of my Taehyung story, I will be publishing that on October 10/11 (based on if we're in the same time zones or similar time zones)! I am currently on chapter 35 as we speak and I'm so eager to share this story with all of you!
To give an idea of what this story will be about, here's the title of it: Bad Date Bodyguard.
And no, it will not be similar to the story called "Bad Blind Date" (which is an incredible story written by such a talented writer though). It's completely different from that in case anyone was curious. I'm very excited to see how everyone reacts to this story.
Now, onto what's going on in the news:
There were 1,400 people arrested in Russia for protesting Putin's decision to order wartime mobilization. Now, I'm going to be honest, when I first read this my first thought was "I can't remember what this means" because I did learn about it in some history classes years ago but history also isn't my best subject. In case anyone can relate to me in this sense, wartime mobilization is essentially when a country gets together resources such as war supplies and troops for a war to happen or for a national emergency. This essentially means that Putin is preparing for a war and that there are people protesting this decision and they have been arrested for doing so. War terrifies me, to be honest. The thought of potentially having a war is genuinely terrifying.
In Iran, a 22-year-old woman named Mahsa Amini was in police custody for wearing an "improper" hijab. While in police custody, she ended up falling into a coma and eventually passing away. Obviously considering that she passed away while being in their custody, many people are angry. There are a lot of protests going on (some of which where people cut off their own hair to show support for Mahsa) and these protests are spreading through many different areas. Based on some sources I read, she was just protesting and that's not a reason for her to be killed while in police custody. If anyone knows any information about everything happening with the protests and what happened to Mahsa, please educate me! I want to learn more about what's happening in the world. I try my best to be aware of the world news daily but I know that not all sources are 100% accurate so if anyone has any other information, please share so I can use my platform in any way to spread awareness.
I hope all of you are doing well. Once again, I really appreciate all of you who took the time to read this story. I'm very thankful (especially for those who have been with me since Voyeurism).
I purple you! Please always take care of yourselves and stay healthy.
Kim 💜
