One afternoon while you and Ethan were outside as Airachnid was drinking an energon cube you put Ethan on the soft grass so that you could give your arms a rest. When a butterfly landed nearby Ethan looked at it and he wanted to touch it. Since it was up off of the ground he knew that he would need to walk over to it. He had been walking along the furniture, but he hadn't quite walked without leaning on something. He tucked his legs up, pressed his hands on the ground and slowly stood up.

You and Airachnid smiled as he stood up all on his own. You both watched as he took a few wobbly steps towards the butterfly. When he fell down you expected him to cry. But instead he started giggling.

"You did so good." You said happily as you walked over to Ethan and picked him up.  

Later that evening Ethan kept trying to walk. He would always fall down after a few minutes, but he would always try again.
