Humor - Report Card Excuse

As Sean opened the front door of his parent's house, his brother, Saul greeted him with joy. The reason was that he had won the bet that their father would soon become a maniac after he saw Sean's grades.

"You owe me ten bucks bro!" Saul then placed his arm in front of Sean and opened his hand.

"Now just wait one minute Saul, is that a way to greet your brother? Let me unwind a bit and let's examine what happened, shall we? And then let's see who really won the bet.

Thus, the two brothers agreed and both plopped on the living room couch with grim looks at each other as if each one was attacking the other.

Sean looked at the paper he received from his teacher. He thought it was a mistake, but here he was holding a 100% paper. He knew it couldn't be right, for he failed in Math. The high schooler indeed studied hard the week before the exam but, he couldn't believe that was his grade.

Now, any kid in his right mind would probably say I'd accept that grade no matter what. But Sean knew he'd be guilty as charged when he got home.

His father always helped with his math homework. And when Sean couldn't correctly grasp that algebraic expression, his dad, Salvador, would lose his mind without any notice. They loved their father but were rather embarrassed that he was a clown!!

Often at times, Salvador was seen acting like Jim Carrey in The Mask, face-palming himself after paranoia hit him. Salvador would often take a fake rubber hammer and slam it all over the house.

Just then Salvadore walked into the room seeing his two sons relaxing on the couch. He was happy to see that since the siblings hardly ever did that anymore.

Sitting on the couch, Salvadore asked what they were doing. And Saul fessed up and told him about Sean's paper.

"Did you act up earlier dad due to Sean's grade?"

"Yes I did, and I'm sorry. But it wasn't because I was mad, I was celebrating.

And as Salvadore left the room, Sean looked at his brother and smirked.

"So, who's the sorry person now bro? You owe me, not the other way around!"

Prompt: From the picture shown above in the media section, what situation could possibly be happening?

Note: At first I wanted to write about two smart-alecky sisters, but it wasn't easy for me to tackle, so I wrote about Sean and Saul. Possibly one is the prodigal son? Who knows? LOL! But as I'm writing in a kid's voice right now, somehow exams got into mind somehow. Maybe it's because some indeed are taking their mid-terms as we speak. I remember mine long ago and well, let's just say my dad did go cuckoo when I couldn't understand that damn math problem,
