Lavender and Pico sat together at their dinning room table, both staring at their phone screens silently, as the soft ticking of the wall clock filled the room.

They were probably texting each other while being right in front of the other. Their social relationship was pretty strong, so this silent spell wouldn't last long. This was more like "me time" to them, but right in front of each other. Lavender wasn't much of a social person but Pico never knew when to shut up. Even if he was just making some random noises or just sending her something he found on the internet, he was always having some kind of contact with someone.

Speaking of sending posts, he sent another funny video to Lavender, whom was right in front of him, and chuckled as he scrolled away from the post. He silently watched her through the corner of his eyes as she stared at her phone blankly, watching the video. He saw her smile a little bit before she gripped the phone with both hands and typed a quick message. A few seconds later, Pico's phone buzzed with uer response.

It read, "LMAOOO😭" and nothing else. She hearted the video and went on about her scrolling. Pico turned his head and looked directly at her with an unamused grimace on his face. "I'm right here.." he said.

Lavender laughed a little bit, hiding her face in her jacket, "I know..~ It was just funny!" She lied.

By impulse, even if she didn't laugh out loud, she'd send some type of emoji to match the vibe of the other person who probably didn't even laugh that hard either.

"You are so fake, oh my gosh.." Pico rolled his eyes and stood up. He stretched his arms all the way up and stood up on his toes as he stretched his body. He pulled his gun from the front of his pants and spun it on his finger effortlessly.

"Pico! That's dangerous to do in the house!" Lavender clutched her chest nervously as she moved her chair back with her legs.

"Relax, honey. I always keep the safety on when it's on my body." He held onto the grip and put it back in his pocket, "Better?"

She smiled and nodded. She went up to hug him. She slung her arms around his waist and nuzzled into his turtleneck. Lavender inhaled near his neck. Pico smelled like gunpowder and adrenaline. Pico's arms were wrapped tightly around her small frame as she continued taking in his scent. They stayed dormant in their spot for about three minutes before Lavender started to doze off and her arms got tired.

She finally let him go and stood up straight. She stood silently as her eyes loomed all over his body in an aimless search, before she saw his gun tucked right on the side of his waistband. She looked up and met Pico's gaze, "Hey, Pico?"

"Yes?"

"Can you teach me how to shoot a gun like you?" She tilted her head and smiled, "Please~?"

Pico froze for a minute. He could show her how to use it for sure, but like him? He didn't want her to have the knowledge of killing a man under her belt. Something about that really didn't sit right with him. Now, maybe it had something to do with her looks, but he agreed to help her try. He relaxed his shoulders and smiled at the small lady. "Fine... but I want you to promise me that you're not about to go rob your ex or something. Okay?"

Lavender nodded and smiled excitedly, "I won't!"

Pico giggled, "Something about your tone tells me otherwise... Let's go." He took her by the hand and led her to the front door. "I'm gonna take you to a very special place~"

Lavender's eyes lit up. She skipped along behind Pico as they walked out of their apartment.

Pico and Lavender had been walking for about half an hour now and Lavender was starting to grow slightly impatient. She yearned to see where Pico learned all of his cool gun tricks, but she really didn't want to walk this far to see that.
She'd stopped skipping about ten minutes ago- her enthusiasm even scaring Pico- before she begged Pico to let her ride on his back. Thankfully, being that he was offering his time to her when she could be doing something else right now, he gave in and helped her. He stopped right in his tracks and grabbed onto Lavender's thighs from behind, causing her to squeak a little as he picked her up and put her on his back. She laid her head on the left side of Pico's neck, nuzzling into his turtleneck once more.

"You keep going for that spot on my neck. Is it really that soft?" Pico asked, adjusting her position on his back. He continued walking while Lavender got comfortable.

"You smell good. That's where I first noticed the scent and from there, it's just been my comfort area on your body." She admitted.

"Does it turn you on?"

"Pico!" She yelped in surprise. She playfully patted him on the side of the head.

"What? It's just a genuine question I have!" Pico smirked to himself as the purple lady on his back scolded him.

"Why would you wanna know that?" She shifted, repositioning her head on his shoulder.

"I wanna know how I can speed up our favorite time together in the best way~" he says

"So you're saying it takes me too long?" She raised a brow; she was ready to hit him.

"Noo, I'm saying you become a little more feral while we do it, I wanna know if I can help you ascend, y'know?" He readjusted her position once again.

Lavender just sat there, pondering. "Pico, sometimes I really don't understand how you can just ask me all these kinds of questions." Her face flushed pink.

"We're here~!" Pico announced. Lavender smiled and swung her feet excitedly. He then placed her down on the ground outside of this big abandoned building.

Upon seeing the sheer size of the building, Lavender froze in astonishment. She stared at it in awe, so many thoughts rushing through her head. It looked like some fancy headquarters that some rich guys used to own and had fancy tea parties in. And this is where Pico learned his gun tricks.

Speaking of him, Pico lead her by the hand through the front door and showed her to the very back of the building. It was a long walk and the whole time, Lavender was staring at everything as if she'd never seen anything else but her own four walls in her bedroom.

"Nice, isn't it?" Pico smiled at her.

Lavender just nodded slowly with her mouth still hanging slightly agape. "Ah.." was the only sound that she could muster in that very moment. She hadn't even noticed that she was being led into some kind of comfort zone in the back. Pico had let go of her hand and walked off somewhere else.

Initially, when she noticed she perked up a little and noticed her new surroundings. She panicked, forgetting that she was with Pico the whole time who was now out of her direct line of sight. When she saw that the room was relatively empty, she began to worry. Lavender started to hyperventilate a little, thinking that she was alone.

"Pico?" She called out in a quivering voice.

There was no answer. She looked up at every corner in the ceiling in a panick. She started trembling when when she saw that there was nothing, no one around her besides the dim lighting on the other side of the room.
Maybe she would come to realize that this wasn't a good idea later, but Lavender decided to wander off, trying to find Pico by herself. She walked out of the small room and walked back to where she first came in. She couldn't even see where the nearest light switch was in this big open building. Whatever Pico learned in here must bave been something serious because the amount of bullet holes in the walls and light switches.

Lavender cautiously walked up to the wall and touched the markings. Her fingers grazed the area of the hole lightly as she explored the lingering gunpowder smears around it.

"Pico this isn't funny anymore, where are you?!" Lavender shouted.

The only response she got back was a little echo of her own voice. No footsteps. No breathing besides her own. No sound. It was all just deafening silence. So quiet in fact, that Lavender's ears began to ring ever so lightly.
She sighed, marching over to the small room again, only this time, she found nothing. Not even a shadow.

Something was really off about this whole situation. The silence, the walk over here, everything leading up to this moment. She felt like crying, screaming even, just to see if anyone could hear her. Lavender felt herself start to grow a little drowsy so she opted to close her eyes for a minute to see if the eerie darkness would ease her thoughts.

Almost as soon as her eyelids closed, she felt a pair of hands being pressed on the center of her chest.

The person pressed down a good two or three times it seemed, before she woke up on a table of some sort.
She gasped for air as if she hadn't taken a single breath of air in her life.

"Oh my god, Lavender!" Pico yelled, rushing over to her side. He stood in shock for a moment, taking in the sight of his, now conscious, girlfriend before hugging her tightly.

Lavender hugged back with the same intensity. "Where did you go, Pico? You ditched me for so long..-" she paused, "Why am I naked?! And... where am I?!" She panicked a little.

"Well.." Pico sighed softly before looking over at the nurse and the police officer standing at the door, which caused Lavender to cover her intimate areas in embarrassment, "You, for some reason unknown, ran out of the house and started heading to this weird building that was almost an hour away from our house. When you made it, the doctors say that you may have stayed in the abandoned place for too long because there was a gas leak." Pico looked down.

"And...then?" She asked, feeling nervous to know about the embarrassing things she may have done.

"Well, you kind of wandered off, probably hallucinating from the toxins because I caught up to you, you were mumbling something about water, guns and you were saying my name a lot. So much in fact that I thought you knew that you were talking to me in that moment. Then.." He paused again.

"Yeah?"

"You... jumped in the water... You are lucky to be alive right now. If I hadn't seen you leave, you could have been killed!"

Lavender sat there, staring ominously at the metal exam table she was sitting on. The freezing cold water dripping from her stringy hair really sent the message home about her unconscious act. She shivered when a single drop of water cascaded down her back. Pico took notice and walked over to a large cabinet in the corner and opened it. To her, it almost looked like a book case with sheets and other linen in it, but when Pico came back to her and threw a large emergency room blanket over her shoulders, she almost immediately fell asleep. The blankets in that large casing were all heated. They must've been there for a while, or they were just for hypothermic patients, but either way, Lavender felt so much better; She even felt a lot less exposed in front of these other people besides Pico.

"The police are gonna come ask you a bunch of questions soon. Is there anything you remember doing that you wanna tell me?" Pico asked.

Lavender shook her head and gave him a tired smile. He kissed her forehead and walked away, signaling the officer to come over to her. When she saw the size of this man, (heh) Lavender almost instantly curled into herself. He had to be around 6' 7" tall or something to be this close to the ceiling.

"Good afternoon, ma'am. I understand that you were found in the water recently by your housemate, is that correct?" The officer spoke with his thumbs tucked in his belt.

"Y-yes? Pico? He's my boyfriend.." she responded.

"We understand that you may be confused so for context, your "boyfriend" is about to be placed in police custody for 48 hours." He said with a dull look on his face.

Lavender froze. "W-What? Why?! You can't take him from me, he's telling the truth!" She yelled. She sat up on her knees and wrapped her blankets around her body completely. "He's the one who saved me! He didn't do anything!" She continued.

"Ma'am, I'm gonna need you to remain calm." Another officer spoke from behind her.

She whipped her head around to see who was there. When she got a good look at him, she scoffed, "Calm down? You tell me that my boyfriend is going to be detained for 48 hours and you want me to "remain calm?" For fucking what? Just for you to pin him to some crime done by some random 14 year old kid?" She laughed, "Good luck with that.."

Before she sat all the way back down, she saw Pico in the hallway being escorted away by two big officers.

As he passed the door to her room, they locked eyes for a brief moment. Pico mouthed the words, 'I love you,' to her before the bigger man yanked him away, calling him some kind of obscenity.
Lavender felt a few tears stream down her face before she hopped off of the bed, and tried to run after Pico.

The two policemen stopped her, grabbing her arms and such, anything to stop her from running out completely naked and catching a public nudity charge.

She screamed out Pico's name before every other sound faded into an echoing silence.
