Somewhere [🍪] Pt.2

Author's POV

It had been 2 months since Agoti left home. He was satying in a hotel, quite far away. He knew his girlfriend had been working there so when he explained the situation to her, she lent him a room for the time being.

"Babe, thanks for your help, I really appreciate it." Agoti had invited his girlfriend out to lunch to thank her for helping him in his endeavors. The two split a milkshake while talking.

"You know I'd do anything for you. I'm surprised you haven't come sooner. Your old man is really something..." Nara shook her head and sighed (yes I inserted my oc. Fite me :3)
He looked at Agoti, reading his expression. He smiled and chuckled.

"What?" Agoti raised a brow, smiling lightly.

Nara picked up some whipped cream and put it on his finger. Quickly, he slapped it on Agoti's upper lip, giving him a little white mustache.

Nara chuckled as he watched Agoti flinch in confusion. "That face.... is priceless!" He said between giggles. "Wait! Wait, don't move!" Nara pulled out his phone and took a picture of Agoti with the whipped cream on his face. "Check your phone!" He continued laughing.

"Real mature babe.." He sighed while smiling at the picture. "I look so dumb!" He licked the sweet substance off of his lip while saving the picture.

"I had fun today, Agoti." Nara pulled him in and kissed him.

"I did too. I'm not gonna stay too long though..." Agoti said. Nara frowned
"Don't say it's one of those things where you don't wanna 'burden me' by staying as long as you need. I already told you, if I cared, I wouldn't have risked my job in the first place!"

"I guess you're right... but.. what if he finds me again?" Agoti winced

"Then we can go to my house for a bit. He still doesn't know where I live. You and I are already a couple, why not just move in together and act like one?"

"That sounds fun! But... how would I even get my things?"

"We'll cross that bridge later." He kissed Agoti one more time before concluding their walk back to his room.

"That is something to consider... Thanks, Nara. I love you." The two embraced each other at the room door before saying their goodbyes.

Agoti sat on his bed, letting out a deep sigh. He had much to think about and gather in one night. He stripped down to his underwear and got under his blanket, took out his phone and scrolled through social media. He came across an Instagram page that caught his eye.

"...Y/n?" He mumbled.

He clicked the page and scrolled through the pictures and videos. He stopped at one particular picture, one with him, another person, and his old friend, y/n. Upon clicking the picture, he noticed the caption saying,

"Miss these folks. Happy 2 year Alum day! Don't know where you are 🤔but I hope one day you guys see this.😁😁"

Agoti's eye's went wide as he clicked the picture. He saw a tag of their old friend and followed both y/n and their friend, Niches. He sent Y/n a message and turned his phone off and rolled over, drifting to sleep.

•A few hours later•

Agoti awoke to the sound of his hotel room TV playing an emergency broadcast. He rubbed his eyes and looked over at his clock, "4:16 AM? The fuck is going on here?" He focused his sleepy brain on the messages shown on the screen.
He stared at the screen for a minute before realizing what was happening. He saw a live clip of his house surrounded by police and helicopters. Agoti furrowed his brows, squinting as the camera panned up to the rooftop. When the camera focused, his jaw dropped.
Solazar was on the roof, nearing the edge. Agoti jumped up and rushed his clothes on. He ran down the stairs and past his girlfriend, who'd just so happened to be watching the same thing as him. Not stopping to speak to her, he hurried along through the door and made his way back to the house.
Agoti's heart was racing, not from him running, but from the intensity of this situation. He'd always known his father was a little overheated, but he was never suicidal. He couldn't help but think that it was somehow his fault that Sol was about to be the talk of the town for the next few generations of homeowners.

As he arrived at the house, Agoti was stopped by two police officers.

"Get out of here, kid. This area is being investigated. Please move along."

The cop motioned for him to move away while the other tucked his thumbs into his holster belt, and his gaurd up.

"You move it, dude! That's my dad up there!" Agoti protested.

"Then sir, you understand why we can't have you out there. Please move alone or we will detain you." The cop continuing to motion Agoti away from the scene.

"Fine. Let him die then, it won't be my fault." He stormed off...

Rushing through his neighbor's backyard bushes, he hopped the fence and went into his tree fort to hide from the officer who was gaurding the back door.

"SIR, GET DOWN FROM THAT EDGE! WE CAN TALK ABOUT THIS ON THE GROUND!" One cop used a megaphone to talk to Sol, attempting to get him down.

"Ah, to hell with you pigs! You all eat dirt anyways, I'm good up here!" Sol was clearly drunk. He pranced around in his open coat and his boxers as he taunted the cops from above.
Agoti was already halfway up the stairs when he heard the sound of heavy footsteps, and a commanding voice come from the front door.

The door was busted open. Agoti dashed up to the attic and went through the funnelled hallways, straight to the spot where Solazar was standing.

"Sol! What in the honest god are you doing?" Agoti screamed, holding onto the trapdoor for dear life.

This next part is gonna be confusing if you dont know what the roof kinda looks like so ima explain it.

So you have a hallway upstairs. Nothing special, right? Theres an attic door that leads to the attic. When you get into the attic, you go to the far back corner and you see a door.

Open that door, theres one flight of stairs that leads to the taller side of the roof. Push open the trapdoor and you can look down onto where the balcony is (the second roof)

Solazar was standing on the flat side (sliding door in the bedroom leads outside).

Solazar looked over at Agoti and his eyes grew wide. Tears started to well up in his eyes. "Agoti..." He whispered.

"Go back inside you crazy man. Look what your drunken shenanigans have caused! You're delusional, you dont need to do this!"

"I'm sory son, but its the only way I'll prove useful to you!"

"Why the fuck would you assume jumping off of our roof is proving useful or good in any way at all?!"

"..."

Everyone was silent.

"Sol, your irresponsible decisions have led you to almost taking your own life! Dont you see?"

He looked around before breaking down and letting his knees buckle under him. He collapsed on the roof, sobbing uncontrollably.

Imminent regret staggering through his body, the policeman that made it on the roof safely escorted him down back into the house.

••••••••••

"Son... it's been two months... after the first week I..... I didn't think you'd stay gone..... then that week.... turned into two... then to 4... then to another month.... I just couldn't take it anymore!"

Agoti sighed, stirring in his seat uncomfortably. He stared at rhe officer in the corner of the livingroom, begging for him to say something. But the soldier remains uniphased by his advances.

He looked back over at Solazar, "So you're telling me, since I left, your 'little' addiction got worse, and caused you to spiral out of control, and try to kill yourself?"

Sol shoom his head shamefully, "I don't know how else to process your decisions. I didn't even think that being a father would be so hard by myself, but here I am, parenting."

"Well congradu-fuckin'-lations, you selectively raised a boy for almost 19 years now!"

At this point, Agoti was numb and very nonchalant about the fact that his own father figure wasn't proving very fatherly.
"Call me when they let you out of the crazy house, I'll know where I'm staying by then. And right now, you've done a horrible job at convincing me that you want me to stay with your bullshit." He stood up, prepared to be escorted back to the hotel safely, when Solazar raised his head and spoke these few words:

"I'm sure, one day, I'm gonna show you a real father...."

Bruh I cannot believe this shit started as a fucking plot about y/n and Agoti being good ol' buddies, and now its this depressing bottomless pit of random fake trauma I think of as I go on with stretching the plot.
