Author's POV

Tabi and Cappie were both sitting together on the couch, playing some random game they found on their Nintendo switch. The objective of the game was to navigate a big obstacle course that led you home while on the verge of being blackout drunk. What was the name of the game?
Neither of them knew, they were too busy screaming at each other while trying to beat the game.

"Y'know.. I think I'm starting to like this game." Cappie said.

"Yeah, me too. It would be better if my teammate wasn't a drunk idiot." Tabi replied, smirking to himself as he finished his sentence.

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?" Cappie put their controller down.

"Nothing! I swear!" Tabi giggled.

"Whatever you say.." they laid their head down in Tabi's lap and looked up at him. "Can I touch your face?" They smiled innocently.

Tabi blushed a bit, startled by the sudden intrusion in his lap. "Yeah..? Why specifically my face though?" He asked.

"Don't worry about it, just come here~" they lifted their paws and carefully began gripping at the sides of his head.
The way their paws perfectly framed his face was something that was always therapeutic to Tabi. He never let them massage his face before, though he has let them touch his face. Cappie's claws just barley grazed Tabi's face, but their grip was so firm it made him smile a little. It was like a small pattern for each grip on each side.

To Cappie, Tabi's face felt like putty. Whenever they kissed each other, they always had one of their paws on his face and they never really gathered the courage to tell him that his face was squishy; they thought that it would scare him off.

"I have a question." Tabi said suddenly, beginning to reach for Cappie's paws.

"Don't worry about it. It's not weird I promise!" They said, still thinking it was about them grabbing his face.

"No, it's not that." He looked down at his partner and put his own hands on the sides of their face. "Your whole head is just fluff. How does it work?"

"Are you suggesting I'm stupid?!" They said. Their claws were now pressed further into Tabi's skin, tight enough to leave a tiny skin mark.

"No. No, that's not what I mean at all. I'm just curious what it's like brushing your hair all the time. Does it hurt your skin?"

"Actually, no, I don't really pay too much attention to that particular area of my body." They smiled a little, still kneading Tabi's face.

"It makes me wonder what else you pay attention to.." Tabi quickly booped Cappie's face, making him flinch and sit up. They looked around with a disoriented face

Tabi giggled behind him, "Did that really scare you?"

They sat up and faced him, "No!" They pouted.

"Yes it did! You lie." He said.

Cappie continued to deny it, turning their head away from Tabi trying to hide their shame. They smiled to themselves and turned around, pushing their face into Tabi's lap.

"Hey! What are you doing down there?!" Tabi said whilst pushing Cappie's face away from his privates.

"I'm getting comfy down there!" They beamed.

"In front of my drawstring?" He raised a brow.

"Come onnn! You're warm down here~ ..!" They jolted at Tabi's shifting.

Cappie's head was now properly laid on top of Tabi's hips. They dared to turn their head and look Tabi in the face in their state. He knew what he was doing to Cappie and he knew what he was going for. His initial reaction was expected, the way their body shivered. Honestly, nothing else Cappie did in that very moment shocked him.

Cappie looked deeply into Tabi's eyes. Their gaze was almost paralyzing to the male. He managed to get them off of the couch and closer to their bedroom, but something about their gaze told him that they needed more than just to be carried into the bed and tucked in.
They both knew exactly what that look meant. Tabi being the tease that he was, smirked at their wordless request and brought them into the room and sat them on the bed, all while keeping his "clueless" face about him.

"You wanna stay in here for tonight? If you fall again at least you wont get hurt. Our carpet is clean~.." Tabi rubbed Cappie's fluff before mumbling, "for now.." under his breath, just quiet enough for them not to hear his sly remark.

Cappie smiled and nuzzled into Tabi's hoodie, "This is fine~" they let out a small huff before their shakes finally went away.

For the next few days, Cappie had grown a little more distant towards Tabi since their little incident. Ever since then, whenever Tabi would try to touch Cappie or suggest some intimate activities, they would simply shake their head and act like they weren't spiraling in their own thoughts.

Eventually, Tabi picked up on their cues and noticed something was really wrong with them. He decided to initiate some kind of intimacy and try to study their reactions. "Hey, Cappie?" Tabi walked into the bedroom where Cappie sat on the floor, playing minecraft.

"Yeah?" They paused the game and looked up at him.

"I have something to ask you."

"..Okay.." They shifted and sat on their knees. They nervously fidgeted with the joystick of the controller.

"So I've noticed for the past few days you've been kind of distant and I just want to know what's been on your mind?" Tabi sat in front of them, closely studying their facial expressions.

As expected, Cappie's face began to shade pink and they started to say something else to avoid the question. Before they could get it out, Tabi interrupted, "Y'know.. it's just been a long time since we've.. well, you know.." he held one of Cappie's hands.

"I... I'm sorry.. I was gonna tell you eventually! I was just... nevermind." They kept their head down for the remainder of their conversation.

"Sorry for bothering you.." Tabi rubbed the back of their hand with his thumb. "Let's go take a nap. We can talk later." He smiled.

**3 something in the morning**

Tabi and Cappie had been sleeping together soundly, without a care in the world. Cappie's body was pressed firmly against Tabi's backside, but they couldn't seem to sleep even in the comfort of their personal body pillow to keep them safe for the night.
They let out a small sigh and let go of Tabi's body before turning on their back and staring at the dark ceiling. They rubbed their knees together in an attempt to ease the discomfort in their shorts, but to no avail. They whined a little bit as the tightening got worse.

"Goddammit.." they sat up and crawled out of the bed. They headed for the kitchen ro get some water. Hopefully the trip would ease their tension down there.
Cappie headed straight for the fridge and started their little raid. They pulled out a bunch of random treats and juices from the drawer and headed back to the room to sneak it in their stash.
But when they got back, they saw that Tabi wasn't in bed anymore. With a chip bag in their mouth, they glanced around the room cautiously before tiptoeing over to the corner of the closet to store the snacks they'd scored. When everything was in place, they took out a juice box and rushed into the bed and tried to fake sleep.

After having finally relaxed fully, and secretly downing an entire thing of apple juice, Cappie sat up and looked around for Tabi again. He still wasn't back in bed. By this time, they were starting to get worried about him. He would usually get up to go to the bathroom, but it would never take him this long to do whatever he was doing. Unless he'd fallen asleep on the toilet. Even then, he doesn't sleep for long when he's in an uncomfortable position too long.
With Tabi gone, Cappie had the room to themselves for god knows how long. They could do whatever they wanted. They could even get rid of the stiffness in their shorts. Yup. It still hadn't gone down.

Cappie sighed and lifted the blanket, staring at the mass. "..welp.. it's now or never.." they said before tugging the brim of their shorts down, letting their member free.
