xOc (Frankie)
"So.. you said his name was.. what again?" Girlfriend asked.

Frankie froze in her tracks, "....Aldryx.."

18 Months Ago....

"Frankieeee!" Aldryx whined.

"Aldryyyxxx!" She dragged back, approaching him in the corridor.

She smiled and tugged at Aldryx' neck tie. "Since when do you wear ties?" She hit him in the face playfully with the end of his tie. He smiled and kissed her nose.

"Since the day I figured out you wanted to go to a black tie event." Aldryx flashed a small black invitation card in Frankie's face, which contained information about a celebrity dinner party, with the usual plus one on the card.

"Well, if you're gonna wear that," she grabbed the invitation and pointed at the time, "You may wanna show up on time to show everyone." Frankie smirked.

Aldryx gasped, "Shit!" He rushed back into their room and rushed back as fast as he'd went in.

As he headed for the door, he grabbed Frankie's wrist, "Come on!"

"Hey! I have feet, ya know?" She winced.

After a nice 45 minute drive, Frankie and Aldryx arrived in front of a big white building with a parking lot full of fancy cars. She gazed out of the window in awe at all the expensive cars as they approached their parking spot.

When the car came to a complete stop, Aldryx got out first and opened the door for Frankie. When she stepped out of the car, she was still completely distracted by all the scenery.

"Come on you crazy woman." Aldrux chuckled, taking Frankie's hand.

She followed him along into the building, admiring the neon lights around them.

"Hey, you made it!" Boyfriend's voice came from beside them.

Frankie turned around and smiled. She ran off to mingle with the small blue boy. Aldryx was left to make his way around and find his brother.

"Agoti?" He loomed over the boy's shoulder, analyzing his body language.

"Dude you made it?!" Agoti jumped up and hugged him.

"My boy. You got the card you after  me. I'm surprised you were early."

"See, that's the thing. I got a call from Girlfriend's dad and he told me he needed a host. I agreed, but I'm just resting right now. He made me move stuff and I'm tired." Agoti huffed.

Him and Aldryx kept talking until the other host came onto the stage and picked up the microphone.

"Good evening, everyone. Thank you all for coming out tonight. We wanna start this mass off wh-..... huh?... Oh, right sorry force of habit." Sarvente paused and started over. "We're gonna start tonight off with a battle! Will Ruv and Boyfriend please come to the stage? We're about to begin!" She cheered.

And so, the night started off with several battles, rematches, and redemption rounds. All was going according to plan.
That was until Mommy Mearest [i hate typing that name] stood up and went onto the side stage, and whispered something to Sarvente. The look on her face said that something was about to happen. And it probably wasn't good.

Aldryx and Tabi took notice of that and just kept a still glance between each other, assuring the other that they saw the same thing. Aldryx leaned over and kept his gaze fixed on Mommy, "She's not part of tonight's set is she?"

Tabi shook his head and sipped his glass, staring right at Sarv. "Not at all." He fidgeted in his seat before speaking again. "The look on her face says that she's about to start something. She always does. That's why you never see her."

When she leaned in, she kept glancing at Frankie, and even pointed at her a few times before leaving to head back to her table.

Aldryx glanced at the unsuspecting Frankie, and frowned. He started to get mad.
The tension and curiosity grew even more when Sarvente walked up to her, and relayed some information to her and walked off smiling her usual bubbly smile.
Frankie stood up a few minutes later and went onto the side stage, where Mommy was already waiting.

Something told Aldryx to go in and stop this little coax from happening, but something in his gut told him not to get up and follow her.
Sarvente walked back to the middle of the stage, ignoring all the side chatter from the tables ahead, and grabbed the  microphone.

"Okay everyone. So, I know we have a set of rules and rituals we like to follow at this annual event. But tonight, we're breaking the tradition with a bet!"

A unanimous gasp filled the air. The room was silent.

You could literally hear Agoti dropping his cufflinks at the door.

There were silent murmurs and whispers, mostly along the lines of, "Bets aren't allowed!" "That's not a good idea!" "Why's Mommy always up to something?"

Sarvente was just as in awe as they were. She stood motionless on the stage in front of the microphone.

"O-okay everyone... let's get this show on the road!" Sarvente cut the tension and cheered. There were a few nervous murmurs as the two singers took the stage.

Mommy took her microphone and perched on the small platform on the stage. "You ready, sweetie?" She hooked a single finger at Frankie, smirking evilly.

"Y-yeah..!" Frankie stuttered nervously.

The music started and the battle went on as planned. Everyone stared in awe as Frankie began winning. Aldryx was especially proud, seeing as his girlfriend was about to take down one of the most famous pop start in a single round. Come to think of it, Sarvente never told anyone what the bet was about or what the wager was.

A knot grew in Aldryx' stomach as the song ended. Everyone in the room pretty much felt the same anxiety that he was feeling. Mommy was silent. She chuckled menacingly and sighed. "Oh you're something, honey. I really underestimated you.. It's really making me rethink my wager..."

"W-what was the original wager?" Frankie stuttered. She shifted nervously in her spot waiting for Mommy to say something.

Alas, she just smiled and queued her daughter to start the music for the next round. Aldryx was close enough to the stage to hear everything that was happening between the two. He had a horrible feeling about the whole battle. Mommy was very devious and untrustworthy at times, especially when she wanted something in return from some unsuspecting soul.

The last round ended. Frankie proved victorious once again. Mommy didn't look too happy about the results.

She hung her head low, not in sorrow, but in more of a villainous manner. She chuckled manically, raising her head slowly. Aldryx stood up slowly, glaring at Mommy.

"Frankie get off the stage." He said bluntly.

"wha-"

"GET OFF THE STAGE, SHE'S GONNA KILL YOU!"

The only thing that filled the room next was a loud booming sound and a blinding light.

Then

Everything went dark.
