Chapter 14
Deshed arrived at Falcon Falls. The hallmark operations of The Raven Agency. Heavy ventilation was blowing in the air. His agents were in place for the big move. Thirty trained assassins covered the main facility. The round clock on the wall made a loud ticking noise. A pitcher of water filled the rim at the table. Clad foot steps picked up in the hallway. A deep divide took place amongst the group.
Deshed can kill people and sleep like a baby. Power was more important to him. It was no question he would even push an old lady across the street into incoming traffic to get hit by cars without remorse. Everyone else was just a pawn used in a sacrifice for leverage. It was nothing more than a power grab to satisfy his greed and ambition to be the one in charge when his hands can be soiled by the blood of his enemies.
Each proud senior member of the Raven Agency met at the office adorned in clad black suites, while gossiping among themselves. Alicia and Casey followed Deshed's orders. Agent T pulled on from his pocket and click on a small black rectangle controller that had turned off the cameras and deactivated the security locks, making it convenient to proceed with the insidious plan to brainwash and effect every army official with the the Zala drug, while killing off key players of the Raven Agency.
Deshed grabbed himself a seat at the table. "All is in place."
All the senior members of the Agency sat at their designated seat. The room was surrounded by concrete and thick reinforced steel. The glass windows in the room were bulletproof. One of the senior members looked at Deshed and smiled.
One man turned toward Deshed at the table with a dead expression."I thought you wouldn't come."
"Sorry to disappoint." Deshed gave a wide evil smirk.
A screen monitor mounted on a wall had lit up with a dark red background with a raven image displayed on the screen. As it cleared, a man in the shadows appeared with a dark suit and red tie. He turned his attention to the group.
"Good evening! What's the stats on the Zala Drugs?" The man from the screen asked.
"Three months supply has picked shipment and should be crossing state lines as we speak. 25% has reached the industrial site," Deshed said.
"What of Senator Guynan? Is he on board with our plans?" The man in the shadow asked.
"Guynan won't be a problem from that sniveling worm," Deshed said with a half smile.
"What of Agent X? I understand he has been raiding and destroying our Zala drugs for some time now. Dropping our product cost nearly 25%. Can someone explain to me how one man can cancel multiple facilities without a single scratch?
"Agent X is just good at what he does," Agent T said, folding his hands on the table. "After all, you made us that way."
"What I made was a mistake," Deshed said with a harsh tone. He points to Alicia. "She is your better."
Agent T gave a scolded look on his face. "Better at what? Looking pretty?"
Alicia overheard the conversation as she threw a knife on the table in front of Agent T close to his right hand, "You should watch your tongue. The next move will be your last."
Agent T stood up from the table as he took the knife off it in a calm manner with no fear written on his face. He turned and faced Alicia."Your idle threats are meaningless."
Alicia hissed in anger. "The next blade will go right in your head."
"I like to see you try. Go ahead, give it your best shot," Agent T said, staring at her face.
Alicia glared at Agent T, clenching her fist and tempted to take his head clean off. "Let's take this outside then."
"Well, I am not gonna let a washed up flunky try to out-source me," Agent T said in a taunting tone.
"Say that to my face again, I dare you." Alicia placed the blade up his throat.
"Alicia, stand down!" The man in the shadows said.
"We will finish this later." Alicia walked away to the table.
Agent T smirked. "There won't be a later for you, I'll make sure of that." He scratched his neck in annoyance.
Before the man in the shadow spoke, the lights went out and blue lights flashed on in the room. Gunfire and screams outside echoed in the hallway. A door opened in a room, letting out cold air when a smoke grenade rolled into the floor. Deshed got up from the chair, coughing while covering his mouth.
Agent X waltzed in with two guns on each hand, discharging his weapon, ripping apart the flesh of his enemies when their bodies hit the hard hollow floor. Agent X stabbed one person in the stomach and chest, splashing blood in the halls. Deshed waved the smoke with his free hand, holding a gun in the other. Agent X took out five members of the Raven Agency that lay dead on the chairs with multiple shots to the head and chest. Their eyes bulged looking up at the ceiling. Agent X gazed at Deshed and Agent T, pointing his gun at them with cold brown eyes that made the Reaper blush.
Alicia attacked Agent X behind with a choke wire and tightened her grip. Agent X backed into the wall and overpowered her with his strength and flipped her body over on the floor. She took a knife from her sheath and stabbed Agent X in the leg as he gritted his teeth. Alicia crawled on the floor for the gun. Agent X grabbed her leg and broke her ankle as she screamed in agony.
When Agent X turned around to the corner, he realized Deshed and Agent T fled the scene. A frown formed on his face as the veins developed around his temple.
Agent X limped on one leg, pulling the blade out from the injured sight while picking up the gun."You stay here."
Bullets penerated the wall near Agent X's head as he took cover, getting away from the window. He veered to his right when he saw the person who betrayed him.
Agent X squinted his eyes looking up. "Casey, what a pleasant surprise. I guess hell froze over."
Casey held the gun in front of Agent X, "You don't know when to quit."
"I thought you knew me better than that." Agent X pushed the table up before she opened fire.
Agent X moved the table forward, knocking Casey off balance. "Why did you betray me?"
Agent X kicked the gun out of her hand, Answer me! Why did you do it?"
Casey kicked his knee and backed up into a fighting stance,"You wouldn't possibly understand."
Agent X moved to the side. Juicing on the Zala drug. It explains your hard impact attacks.
Casey threw a punch and a kick at Agent X. He countered and duck. "What I had done. Who I killed."
"We all got crosses to bare, but what you did was unforgivable." Agent X punched her in the face and took her down.
Casey reversed the position and got on top of him and punched him in the face multiple times."Things would be simple if you stayed away."
Agent X caught her fist. "Someone has a hold on you. Who is it?"
Casey screamed."I hate you!" She punched him in the face.
Agent X grabbed her hands and she sobs. "I can't..."
Casey cried on his shoulders. "It's okay."
A screen popped on from the wall,"Such a disappointment, daughter."
"Who are you?"Agent X asked.
"Someone you don't want to cross," the man in the shadow announced. He pressed the button to lock the doors and sealed the windows with thick steel.
The sprinklers released the white gas that entered the room. Casey started coughing while Agent X took a chair and started bashing against the window. He started coughing. His eyes became blurry as he stumbled on the floor.
"It will be over soon." The man in the shadow got up from the chair leaving the control room.
Agent X coughed and went out cold on the floor. The gas cleared and the doors unlocked. Five men entered the room carrying Agent X and Casey out of the room and placed them in the back into the back of a gray van with tinted windows cabled tied. The van took off on the road.
One guard took out his walkie talkie," Agent X and Casey are secured.
"Good, bring them to the base."
"Copy that."
"This is Agent X?" The second guard asked. "He is just a kid."
"A genetically engineered killing machine. Don't be fooled by his appearance." The first guard pointed his gun at him. "He has more kills on his belt just like Agent B."
