Chapter 12
After a two hour meeting, Senator Greg Guynan was riding inside his personal black limo along with two women drinking a glass of champagne. One was a curvy, blonde-haired, ocean blue eyed personal assistant and the other was a brown-haired, slim to the waist, maid he grew fond of for three years. It was no secret he cheated on his wife on multiple occasions. Keeping his illicit affairs was never easy.
Multiple media sources would exploit this, spinning the narrative of his tribulations as he denied the claims. The Raven Agency made it possible for him to win the Senate race for Washington by a landslide, while cleaning up his mess, which he owed a great deal of debt that he would not be able to repay.
"So ladies? Are you ready for the private tour of the mansion?" Greg asked with a wink and wicked smirk that spread upon his face.
"Oh, I'm ready for the round trip," Felicia said, filling up her arm and face.
Sonia whispered in Greg's ear.''Yeah, we can't wait for you to show us around big daddy." She nibbled on his ear and wiped a dust feather on his nose.
"I can't wait to punish you two when we get there," Greg said with a charming tone. "Helena is away, so it gives us time to play."
The black limbo got off the main and ground to a halt. Greg and the women were startled when they looked around, realizing they were in the middle of a dark wooded area surrounded by trees.
Greg rolled down the window. "Hey, driver, what's going on?"
A female driver, with cold brown eyes, turned around with a black silencer and shot Sonia in the head. Blood splattered like a paint design. Felicia screamed as the bullet penetrated her head with equal procession. Their blood smeared all over Greg's clothes as he raised his hand in fear.
Greg's eyes bulged. "Oh, God. He looked at his maid and personal assistant, their eyes open and lifeless.
"Get out of the car," the female driver said with an emotionless tone, pointing her gun at Greg.
Greg pushed Sonia's bloody body off him while opening the door. The female assassin made Greg walk on the path of grass in the woods as she followed him with her gun. The sound of crickets stirred in the air as it was apparent that no else was around. Fear engulfed Greg's mind, knowing his life would end at the whim of the mysterious woman. There was no reasoning with her.
"I got money," Greg said pleading with her. "I will give you whatever you want. I got connections. You just name it."
As soon as Greg got further enough in the woods they stopped. The woman kicked Greg in the legs, getting him on solid brown dirt beneath him. He lifted up with his hands up as if pleading for his miserable little life. Moments flash before his eyes. Then a cell phone rang. The female assassin answered the call with a sigh.
"Hello," she said, eyeing Greg.
"Is Greg there?" Deshed asked.
"Yeah, he is," she said
"Let me talk to him, Alicia," Deshed said.
Alicia handed Greg the cellphone," Deshed wants to talk to you."
Greg placed the cell phone against his ear. "Hello."
"Senator Guynan, it has been a while. You still remember that favor you owe me? Well, I'm here to collect."
Greg paused, clearing his throat as if a frog was stuck in it. "I don't know what you mean."
"Let me spell it out for you. I want the product you promised me. "
"What product?" Greg asked.
"The Zala drugs. You promised me you would have four pounds of the drug ready within a year. What do you have to say?"
"I have only three and a half pounds. I need more time," Greg said in a nervous tone.
"Three in a half pounds? Greg, the reason I put up with you is because you would get the job done. But you disappointed me. Now how would your wife feel with you screwing around with two women, in your private estate, hmm? It would be unfortunate if that secret somehow landed in the media's hand. Just think of your political status being dragged in the mud. I can see it now. Your wife divorces you and takes the kids away, even half of your assets. No one would ever look at you the same. I would hate to be you right now. You have five days to make the rest of the drugs. And Gregg, if you mess this up, Alicia will come back and finish the job."
"I won't let you down, '' Greg said as if thankful for his miserable life.
"I am glad we have an understanding, goodbye, Greg," Deshed said as he ended the call.
Alicia took back the cell phone." You're lucky. I would love to kill you right now but the boss wants you alive."
Greg leaned forward touching the ground, trying to conceal the shame and fear from what took place at the limo. The death of Sonia and Felicia haunted him and their blood still stained his clothes. The last moments of their lives replayed like a scene of a horror movie in his mind. Greg felt helpless knowing that Deshed backed him in the corner with limited options to mass produce the rest of the Zala drugs.
"Get up," Alicia pulled Greg from the ground with the gun, facing the back of his head. "Move, before I change my mind."
Greg got up with his hands up. Alicia pushed him to move. He glanced at the nearby river further in the woods. The question remained whether he was able to out smart Alicia. Greg didn't take a chance fearing he would suffer the same fate like Sonia and Felicia.
"Whatever Deshed is paying you, I can pay you more," Greg said, walking toward the back of the limo.
"Open the trunk," Alicia said.
Greg felt a sudden chill from that order. The idea of opening the trunk didn't sit well with him. He stared at her cold brown eyes as if he was staring at death himself personified in the flesh. Just enough to make the devil weep in pure contempt. As he opened the truck inside was a plastic sheet covering.
"Now get the body in the truck," Alicia said.
"What?" Greg asked.
"You heard me," she said with an authoritative tone. "Well, I don't have all night."
Greg struggled dragging the corpse of Sonia out of the limo. Her blood leaked on the payment as he heaved her body with a lot of effort, thumbing in the trunk, while wiping the sweat off his face. He went back to pull out Felicia's body. His eyes squinted as he lifted her body and placed her beside Sonia. It was disturbing enough for Greg to see their eyes still wide open. He closed the trunk, sighing.
"Get in the car," Alicia said.
"Where are you taking me?"
She clenched her teeth."You don't worry about where we are going. Now get in the car."
Greg got in the limo without protest. Alicia got inside and started driving off the road, leaving the wooded area behind. As they passed by houses and cars, a million thoughts had passed his mind. Greg was desperate to escape but didn't know how to get out of this tangled situation. Alicia made a brief glance at Gregg and kept an eye on the road.
When Alicia crossed the intersection at a stop light as it turned green, a car rammed them from the side causing the limo to spin hitting against neighboring cars. Alicia felt the whiplash as she cuffed and noticed Greg was unconscious. A man approached the car. Alicia reached for her gun.
"Drop the gun," the man said with his gun on Alicia.
"You don't know who you're messing with," Alicia said as she let the gun go laying at the bottom of the seat.
"Step out of the car slowly with your hands up where I can see them. No funny business."The man continued to put the gun at her, sizing his competition.
"Who are you?" Alicia asked, Staring at the man with a gun on her.
"Someone like you is a trained killer in the Raven Agency. I can't say how many people who had the privilege to die by my hand."
"So you are Agent X everyone has been talking about? Hmm, I thought you were taller. Your name was legendary throughout the inner circuit, including your betrayal of the agency."
"Now, to correct that, the agency used me, brainwashed me, and tried to have me killed to cover up their little lab experiment. I suppose Deshed didn't mention that. Of course not."
"Deshed would never abandon me," Alicia said, stepping closer into the light.
Agent X was shocked to recognize who Alicia was when an image of a photo he saw registered in his mind. "Alicia?"
