SAID FUN TRIP
Hello~ Sorry it's been so long! I am low on ideas for all of my stories, and I feel like the hard work I've been doing is worthless because 90% of my stories don't have over 20 reads. but anyway! Let's continue with the story!
"Are we there yet?" Cali asked for the hundredth time this flight.
I groaned and facepalmed. "If we weren't there ten seconds ago, why would we be there now?" I asked her.
"By the power of plot." She responded. I looked at her like she grew a second head. "What?" she asked. "Did I grow a second head?"
"No. And this isn't a book, or a movie." I told her, wondering if she read my mind.
"Your right." She said. I sighed, thinking I had won the argument. Until, "It's a fanfiction." I just hung my head in defeat. She had been spouting stuff like this for the past few hours. '4th wall breaking' she called it. I call it a trip to the mental institute.
"Ready up you two, we are here." The pilot said. Cali sent me a 'Told you so' look and I just flipped her off. "Opening rear doors"
The rear doors opened as me and Cali jumped out. I rolled as I landed on the ground. I pointed at the highest point of the base, a control tower on top a mountain. She seemed to get the message as she ran off towards it. I ran in the other direction, towards the airport. As I got closer I activated the active camo the director had given me. As I got closer to the airstrip I saw a familiar ship. It was one of the ships Omicron gave us. a single pilot fighter with the ability to break the atmosphere of any planet.
As I walked closer I saw the emblem that we put on each of our ships to identify us should our body be destroyed beyond recognition. It was a flaming sword piercing a Raven. I grinned as I saw it's pilot walk over to it. It seems that the Beta company survived David's betrayal. Beta company only got the tech, not the enhancements of Alpha company. This weakling was Herald, the lowest ranking of Beta, and he was part of the insurrection. As I watch the base, I spotted more and more of Beta company's lowest ranks. When I had finished counting I had spotted 29 of Beta's 35 members. One of those last six I had killed personally after he tried to kill me and take my gear after Omicron fell. Those last five were Beta's top 5, and they just barely missed the cut for Alpha. I started to smile like a feral animal as I snuck into the hangar of the base.
Pulling out a C4, I placed it on one of the fuel tanks. I continued to do this, until I saw a rusted door guarded by 2 of Beta's worst. I grinned, thinking about what outstanding secrets are behind that door. I step out of the shadows, turning my armor the colors of the insurrections. As I walked closer the two of them noticed me.
"I haven't seen you here before." One in neon green armor said, Charlie I think.
"Yeah, and that armor's not standard. Go change weakling!" Charlie's brother, Joseph, said as his neon blue armor annoyed my eyes.
I chuckled darkly as I walked forward. "Me? A weakling?" I asked them.
"Yeah you!" Joseph said as he stepped in front of me. "Don't you know who we are?" He shouts in my face. "We are the Neon Twins from Project Omicron! The strongest fighters out of all the 35 Elite members!"
I laughed out loud. "Oh really?" I asked them as I pulled off my helmet, revealing my scarred face. "You were Beta's weakest, most annoying, punching bags." The twins backed up in fear as I held them up by their armor, breaking their coms, and tightening the armor around their necks. "Hello boys."
With Cali
I had just shot the last guard in the hallway, and opened the doors to the armory, when I got a call from Mad. "Yello?" I called into the com as I picked up a bag of explosives.
"How's it going?" He asked. His voice reminds me of something, but I can't remember what. It's almost like I knew it before he joined Freelancer.
"Great! Just setting the charges now." I said as I placed the last charge on the pile of explosives. I had Grenades, rockets, C4, dynamite, and much more fun stuff. I even put a teddy bear full of nitroglycerin on top. "This is going to be one big BOOM!" I say, proceeding to giggle like a mad woman. Don't judge readers.
There was a brief silence before Mad spoke again. "Right..... Have fun with that, Imma go discover some secrets." And with that the com link ended.
"He is going to have a lot of fun!" I said as I skipped down the bloody hallway. I reached a locked door and pulled out a C4. I know what your thinking, 'where in the fuck are you getting all of those? Wouldn't you like to know. I planted the C4 on the door and backed up a bit. I pulled out my silenced carbines and the C4 detonator. I hid behind some rubble and flipped the switch. The sweet sound of an explosion filled my ears and the smell of death and destruction greeted me as I walked into the previously locked room, spotting several cowering children. 'OH SHIT!' I mentally screamed as I ran over to them. 'I am SOOOOOOOOO sorry!" I shouted as I took off my helmet. "Are any of you hurt! I'M SORRY! I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE IN HERE!" I shouted as I panicked.
"It's fine. Only the mean guard was hurt. He's beneath that big pile now." A little girl, no older than 7 said as she pointed to the rubble at the other side of the room. "Who are you lady? Are you here to hurt us like the rest?" She asked me. She seemed to be the most mature of the group of children. But she was bleeding, and bad. The girl next to her was severely scarred.
I shook my head and looked at them. They had signs of malnourishment and abuse all over their skin. "Who did this to you?" I asked, growling as I looked at a nasty bruise of one of the girls arms. I sounded like a mother to be honest. I was going to find whoever did this and beat them with their own skulls!
"The mean people in different armor. The guards called them, Omicron." A small girl said. she must have been at least 4 years old, and had cuts all over her arms and legs. I rushed over to her and pulled out bandages, proceeding to wrap her legs and arms. "They hurt us, took us from our village, and keep training us, beating us. Saying we will be the best soldiers in the galaxy." The little girl said, clearly smarter than she should be at her age.
"You won't have to worry about that any more. What's your name sweetie?" I ask as I start to wrap another kids wounds.
"Klione. And thank you kind lady." Klione said as she hugged me. I put an arm around her. I heard loud stomping coming from the hallway and many shouts.
"Stay here." I said as I handed my magnum to an older kid. he looked to be about 10 years old. "If anyone but me or a man in silver armor comes through that door, point and shoot." The kid nodded as he pointed it at the door. I smirked and put my helmet on. "Let's have fun." I muttered as I pulled out my carbines.
I stepped out of the room to face several soldiers, all pointing guns at me. "Who here is from Omicron?" I growled.
Three people stepped out of the crowd, all wearing different armor. "What's it matter to you lady?" One of them asked. Seconds later he had a hole in his helmet as he fell forward.
"Fuck you bastards. Kidnapping children? Torturing them? ABUSING THEM?" I shouted at them, mowing down their ranks. The two others from Omicron used the rest as shields, but that didn't last as I threw a plasma grenade at them. I heard my guns click as I ran out of ammo. I reached behind my back and pulled out a shotgun. Rushing forward, I shot at the horde of soldiers. I jumped on one and spun around, kicking, shooting, punching, I was of force of nature, and I had the anger of a mother whose child was hurt running through my veins. I almost felt sorry for them. Almost.
Avery
I couldn't believe what I saw seeing. In front of me was a suit of armor. In it's hands was my old sword.
(Make the colors black not purple)
MY armor from Omicron, and my ship. It still had my logo of a black rock, surrounded by several lines, representing a magnetic field. I walked up to my suit of armor and grazed the suit.
"Fascinating isn't it? How out of all of Alpha, only you and the traitor lived" A voice said from behind me. I spun around to see 5 dark colored people. standing in front of them was a woman, out of armor. She had grey hair, blue eyes, and many wrinkles.
"It's been a long time, Octavia."
