Chapter 21: Fog
Moonlake was putting some clothes in his bag when somemon tapped his shoulder.
"Going somewhere?"
He turned around and saw Omar holding a small box infront of him.
"Canada" Moonlake replied.
"Ooooo, cool, before you go I bought something for you, hope you like it. The hell happened to your arm-"
"Um I fell down the escalator" Moonlake said.
Omar crossed his arms.
The Eevee sighed, "Explosion"
"Ehhhhhhh?! How?!" Omar shouted.
"It's a long complicated story, and I don't think I can tell you-" Moonlake replied, the Eevee, winced from the pain in his arm.
Then Omar got an idea, "Hey, I know a cool super secret technique that might help your arm feel better"
"Ah whatever, hurry up, I don't want to keep London waiting" Moonlake groaned, "Is" He whispered.
"Turn around" Omar said.
"Why-"
"Just fucking turn around-"
"Fine"
The Eevee turned to the window and took a deep breath, Omar moved the Sun Gem from under his shirt, closed his eyes and used the powers from the Sun Gem to slowly heal the Eevee's arm, Moonlake winced in pain the whole time, but when Omar was done, it was as if he never broke his arm to begin with. When he was done he quickly tucked it under his shirt.
"What the-"
"Pretty cool right?" Omar said, he cut his cast.
"How... Wha... My arm feels..." Moonlake stuttered, he was surprised. There was no pain as he swung it around.
"How-"
"That's why it's a secret" Omar said, "Anyway I gotta get to school! Do your homework O iré tras de ti ..."
Moonlake gulped.
"See you soon!" Omar said, he pulled him in and kissed his cheek then he left.
Moonlake rubbed his cheek with his healed arm ever so slowly in awe.
"He's amazing..." He whispered to himself.
5 hours later
While on the plane, London and Isabel noticed Moonlake wasn't wearing his cast so they asked him about it.
"Hey, why aren't you wearing your cast?" Isabel asked.
"Eh, Omar used some cool secret healing technique, amazingly my arm feels better. I don't feel any pain there anymore" Moonlake said.
"Odd" London said, "That injury would have taken months to heal"
"Yeah, but at least I can help you guys out!" Moonlake said, "And maybe do more" he added staring at London with a creepy lovestricken grin. London shifted away from Moonlake out of nervousness.
"Yeah, sure" London replied, "Thirsty"
Meanwhile, Washington DC.
Rico sat in the hotel looking out at the view of the city below him, he made his decision the day before...
Yesterday Night..
"No"
Greene sat there dead quiet for a moment.
"Sorry?"
"You're expecting me to choose between family and work? Well, I'm not picking You over my own flesh and blood! So if this is all you're gonna use me for, Screw you, Greene! I'm done being an expendable lapdog for you! I could've found him by now, but no, you don't allow it! He'll kill anyone you send, but he won't kill me or Delevio, and Arceus knows he doesn't want to see her after she threw him out of his own house and sent her own son Spiralling into depression! You don't always act for the good of everyone, only the best for You and for the CIA, Never for OUR families! Oh, sorry, Except London's because you play favorites. Y'know what? You don't deserve this job. Because while Luke Essentially was the key to turning the tide on Paine and the Surren, and you fired him. Way to go, Savior of America." He said sarcastically. Rico then slammed his fist on the table with all the power in his body, Shattering it in two. He stared at Greene with a Terrfying, Familiar look; One usually Given by Lukarin. "You aren't worthy of all the praise when My brother and I did all the dirtywork for you. If I don't have your attention, Maybe I will soon enough." Rico turned to everyone staring at this confrontation. "Until Greene's out as Commander... I quit."
A small crowd of Pokemon from the office block who heard Rico's, some overheard, some came to see what the problem was.
Greene chuckled and slowly it turned into a full on laugh, "In that case... You might as well look for somewhere else to work like the FBI, because I will not be leaving this agency, not until I retire. You must not understand the severity of the current dilemma we are in, your brother - And I have no other thing to call him - is a menace. You can ask the president, the vice president, any member of congress, whoever, they will say Luke is somemon who needs to be caged..."
At this point he started raising his voice...
"...Oh and about London, for fuck sake your brother already brought that bullshit up, stop fucking talking about it, I did a favour for a friend, I was there for a friend, nothing you say will make me regret being there for a friend, I attend all my friends events and when I come back, I'm caught up on recent events... I thought you would be different from your brother... But now I see you two or more or less the fucking same! A soldier who cannot follow orders is as good as dead and you must be oblivious to the fact your brother is playing vigilante, other countries are eyeing us down for this, Interpol wants him jailed, letting him run around ISN'T A FUCKING OPTION GET THAT SHIT DRILLED INTO YOUR STUPID LITTLE SKULL!"
There was silence and whispering.
Greene grabbed his bag, took his badge out of it and threw the bag at him, "There will be an agent coming around to comfiscate your weapons, leave the building, or I'll throw you out myself... You'll receive a statement of dishonourable discharge later"
Rico left the room snarling, Delevio saw the broken table and slowly walked up to him, "Do you uh want something to eat, I know that helps you calm down"
"... If you think it will help then fine" Greene said, "Fucking brat..... The hell are you all standing there for get back to work!"
The crowd slowly moved away and the agents went back to their desks.
"If he collaborates with Luke, the situation will be worse..."
"Do you want me an Keyen to work on it?" She asked.
"Yes, I think you'd be the best. I'm not choosing you because of your past with Luke, I'm choosing you because of your skill, the ability to keep learning during an assignment... That's what makes a good agent. I'll also be assigning somemon else to work alongside you"
"Aw thanks... Um, meatball sub?" Delevio asked.
"Eh, sure" Greene replied, "Also get a new desk-"
Ottawa, Canada
London, Isabel and Moonlake arrived in Toronto. Ketster tagged along with them, the Eevee was nervous, he didn't want to suddenly have another incident like the one they had in Surrey.
"Ketster..." Moonlake said.
"Hm?"
"Breathe" Moonlake replied.
Ketster took a few deep breaths.
"Would you like some Cotton Candy sir?" A Minccino asked London.
"Sure... I'll have 4"
The Minccino smiled, "The black Mercedes at the front is your ride-" She gave London some of the treat, a cone to Moonlake and two more to Isabel and Ketster, "Good luck with whatever it is your here for"
London raised an eyebrow, the Minccino winked and then ran up to another Pokémon asking if they would like some Cotton Candy.
"Odd" Isabel said.
"They didn't say we had a ride, if she hadn't told me we would have wound up taking the metro, anyway let's find that car..."
They found the Mercedes sitting outside the bustling airport, outside was a Gallade who opened the door for them to get in the car. They got in and they were driven away from the airport, later they arrived at an opening in the woods outside of Ottawa. There were two hardened soldiers standing guard at the front. There was a Goodra in a lab coat standing at the gate watching the Mercedes arrive.
The two soldiers walked to the car and opened the passenger doors so they could step out.
"Good evening, your with MI6 correct?" The Goodra asked.
London nodded, Moonlake yawned.
"I see... My name is Doctor Claus Camprion, I study a lot of stuff, but Eevee genetics are my specialty"
"That's a thing?" Moonlake asked.
"Mhm" Camprion replied, he walked up to Moonlake and put his finger on his chest, "Believe it or not, Eevee's as well as their evolutions hold a lot of awesome stuff in their DNA, we tested special medicines using Sylveon DNA once... It was successful in treating cancer in fairy type Pokémon.
"Did you kill the Sylveon?" Isabel asked nervously.
"Nope, he's still out there working his book shop in Toronto" Camprion said.
"Wow!" Moonlake whispered in awe.
"Anyway, I'm assuming this is the famous Ketster?" Camprion asked.
"Yeah, what's it to you?" Ketster replied.
"Well... My team has developed a mothod of restoring your memories. Relax, I've already tested it on a Pokémon with amnesia... Surprisingly it worked. You have nothing to worry about" Camprion said, with an assuring grin.
The three walked down the hall, Ketster watched as Pokémon of all shapes and sizes roamed the facility as scientists and engineers or test subjects. While London was walking he noticed a Sylveon, wearing glasses working on a computer, he didn't know why he chose to look at that specific Sylveon but he sighed and kept walking.
Eventually Camprion led them inside a large white room with a dome shaped roof, within the space was an observation area.
"Ketster... If you would please sit down in the chair-" Camprion said.
He was hesitant but he complied with Camprion's request and sat in the black chair, a Zangoose came and strapped him to the chair. Ketster tried to move around but he couldn't move at all.
"Relax, it shouldn't take long" Camprion assured him
Ketster sighed and took a deep breath.
"Shall we go to the observation room?" He said to the MI6 Agents standing with him.
Later after conducting some final checks on the machine it was ready to be used on Ketster.
"You might want to put on these-" Camprion said.
He handed the 3 of them some sunglasses.
"Really-"
"Hey, if you want to be blind be my guest"
Moonlake was about to say something but then he closed his mouth.
"Start procedure 3A!" Camprion shouted.
The Zangoose cracked his knuckles and started typing on the keyboard.
Ketster looked up at London and Isabel who were watching from behind the glass. What was about to happen would surprise everyone.
