|| CHAPTER-29 ||
"Let me fucking go!" Jimin screamed with tears brimming over his lower lids.
"Calm down, Jimin! We need you to answer our questions-"
Jimin instantly stopped struggling and broke into fits of giggles, "Naive of you to think I would be scared!" The chair's anterior legs lifted in the air causing Jimin to fall backwards as he burst into laughter.
Thankfully, his cuffs pulled him forwards.
Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows in confusion unable to comprehend the male's behaviour. He stared at him with blank dark orbs and shifted his gaze towards the clipboard with questions.
Catching Jimin wasn't a big task but breaking him to speak up is the deal that Yoongi was assigned.
"Where is Kim Seok Jin's body?" Yoongi asked for the nth time.
"Who?" Jimin asked with an amused glint building in his eyes. A small evil smile formed over his lips as he heard the name for the nth time.
"Stop acting clueless, Agent Juliet! You better start speaking or you might face the worst treatment-"
"Yoongi-ah," Jimin began softly not caring about the honorifics.
Yoongi exhaled sharply and leaned forwards with the last ounce of patience flickering in his veins, "Yes?"
"I am glad you left that place. Your skills were meant to be used here. You have grown up to become a strong kid despite the past. I am proud of you," Jimin smiled softly with eyes turning into small crescents.
It struck Yoongi hard.
He fisted his hands below the table and gulped hard to suppress any emotions that could build over his face.
He couldn't fall weak.
He couldn't afford to fall for Jimin's tricks.
He had to keep up his duty and ask further questions. He had a responsibility.
A name to keep up.
It could be possible only if he dodges all of Jimin's bullets.
"The apology letter and bundle of newspapers with that man's face left at your front door were intentional. I made sure he's paid double the price for harming you. I made sure he wrote that letter with utmost guilt and never commits such a horrible thing with another person ever again," Jimin spoke as he looked at Yoongi with soft brown eyes.
"H...how about we focus on the present? I am glad you helped me back then and I am shameful for not thanking you enough for the help. But currently, you are being investigated for Jin's murder. Let's not drift the topic."
"Aish! You are a tough asshole, aren't you?" Jimin scoffed and immediately turned his expression into an annoyed one, "Fine, continue."
"Why did you fake your death?" Yoongi fired another question.
"Jungkook's in there. Isn't he?" Jimin pointed towards one of the walls that were opaque from the inside, but was transparent from the other side where the other staff of Base Station was seated, taking notes of investigation.
Jungkook slightly shifted in his seat. He straightened himself to look at the man behind the glass.
"What did he do in the past six months? Any girlfriend? Not that I mind, I would like to know since he once said he would wait for me," Jimin asked and waved his hand at the wall with a small smile.
He couldn't see past the wall.
It was impossible.
But Jungkook felt Jimin's eyes darting straight at him. Staring at him and only him. His heart picked a pace as he saw Jimin lean over the table and wink at him before shifting back.
Jungkook loosened his collar feeling too hot in the room. Taehyung observed the whole scenario and instantly turned the mic 'on' which was connected to Yoongi's earpiece.
"Yoongi hyung, put this call to speaker mode," Taehyung ordered.
Yoongi nodded and pulled out his earpiece to place it over the table.
"Bitch! What the fuck are you trying to do? I know the colour of the underwear that you are currently wearing. That's how long I have been with you. Why are you drifting the questions? Taehyung began. He gripped the mic firmly and leaned closer to it, " Unless you are waiting for someone or something to happen."
Jimin heard Taehyung and smirked lightly before leaning back against the wooden chair and crossing his left leg over the other. He clicked his tongue in amusement after observing Yoongi's restless expression.
"How long has it been since you brought me here?" Jimin asked. He sat there like a king who returned from exile with power radiating through his voice.
"You aren't allowed to quest-"
"Oh come on, Yoonie. Do you or don't you want me to speak?" Jimin enticed.
Yoongi rocked his head back and forth to weigh his available options and inhaled sharply before speaking up.
"It's been 29 hours-"
"Be specific!" Jimin raised his tone and Yoongi couldn't help but grit his teeth.
"It's been 24 hours since you were brought here and 5 hours past interrogating you," Yoongi said and dropped the clipboard over the table.
"And what clues have you found so far?" Jimin asked.
"Nothing," Yoongi answered.
"Do you know where you went wrong?" Jimin perked a question curious to know his junior's answer.
"Where?"
"Keeping me here as per your wish without conclusive evidence!"
"We do have evidence against you-"
"Any evidence obtained through spy cam isn't conclusive evidence, bitch!" Jimin screamed, banging his hand over the table.
Jimin's tone rose eight octaves high which caused Yoongi to jerk back.
Yoongi couldn't answer.
He was speechless. Of course, they had evidence of Jimin's hideout and cameras hacked by their agent to view the interior of his house.
But it wasn't through papers.
Namjoon had signed Hoseok for this mission which wasn't legal.
So, does that mean Jimin hasn't committed the crime?
Since the evidence doesn't satisfy their law.
Does it prove his innocence?
"Don't split your head, Yoonie? Stop thinking so much. I won't make it difficult for you. I have come to a decision."
"And what that might be?"
"I will give an honest statement despite the false 'inconclusive' charges over me. But on one condition," Jimin said, playing with the handcuff chain within his fingers.
"What condition?" Yoongi asked and the door clicked open.
Jimin smiled widely at the person who stood at the entrance of the door with a blank face.
"You took so long. I was bored here. Take these off me, please?" Jimin whined cutely pointing his cuffs towards the said man at the entrance.
The male stepped into the room and inserted a key over the lock of the cuffs.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Yoongi stood up from his chair with anger building in his body.
Jimin smiled widely as the male clicked open his handcuffs. He stood up and put a hand over the male's shoulder.
Yoongi pulled a gun from the back of his waist and pointed it at Jimin, "What kind of game are you playing?"
"I told you I will give my honest statement. My condition is simple. I would like to have this man investigate me."
The male pulled his gun out and pointed it toward Yoongi, "Leave the room if you wish to live."
"I can't believe you were a rat, Hoseok!" Yoongi screamed as he removed the safety lock of the gun.
A/n:- Ah! Okay, what happened?
I don't know what I typed but yeah.
Hoseok has been working for Jimin all this time?
Did it ring any bells when Hoseok was accepted into the teams without any specifications?
Also, the person who captured Jimin's location for the first time was Hoseok.
Who's ready for some Jikook??
I hope the chapters aren't boring.
Anyways, I will head to study.
Love you guys
