Chapter 11: The Earth Falls
Wow, I really left that cliffhanger for a year without realizing.
My bad.
Song: Sorry- Halsey.
North Korea
"SARINA!" I shout.
She doesn't respond. The others all look terrified, and tears are forming in the eyes of a few.
In that moment, nothing else mattered. I snapped.
I lost track of any other surroundings as I rushed Ouranos, and resorted to a practice I told myself I would never use again.
I stopped his ichor from moving in his bloodstream, and slowly froze him in place as I began to drop his temperature from within.
"Please! Stop! What are you doing demigod?!" He plead with me.
I distantly heard gunshots, and crashing like doors being broken down.
"WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE WAR?" I begin interrogating him with mild torture, which he only glares at.
Suddenly, a hand touches my upper arm. I almost toss the person, before realizing it's Piper. She glances between us with slight fear, then begins her specialty.
Heavily laced with charmspeak, her voice is strong. "What have you done, Ouranos. Do you not feel any empathy for those entrapped here?"
"All I feel is the need for vengeance." Yet ever so slightly I notice that his eyes soften.
"What are your next steps for war?" She continues.
I momentarily stop listening, but keep him trapped with my powers.
Looking around, I see that since I incapacitated the leader, many ran off or were killed. The others are being untied, and I rush over to look at Sarina.
Jason looks at me and hands her over, then runs over to back up Piper.
"Sarina, baby are you hurt? I pull her onto my lap and see no blood.
"Ugh I'm fine Perce. That's gonna bruise though," she says while lifting her shirt to showcase some medium duty Kevlar.
I smirk, relief flooding my being but the rage unwavering. "Let's go check in on the others, Bondo." I help her up as an evil smirk plasters my face.
Glancing around, Thalia, Hazel, Frank, and Murphy have a few captives surrounded at gun point.
The two Brits are passed out still from their interrogation with Ouranos, thankfully. Nico is surrounded by the dead while standing in front of the nuke button, presumably in case anyone got the bright idea to press it again.
We walk back to Piper and Jason, who
have reduced a primordial God to a blubbering idiot, apologizing for his crimes against the humanity he was supposed to observe. His being flickering, Jason ran a sword through his fading body as I released my hold on his blood.
He flickered out of existance and was no more, and I watched in awe as his immortal essence flew into Piper and Jason.
I whisled loudly, "Damn Pipes, I have no idea what you said to make a primordial fade, and I don't think I ever want to!"
She laughed, and we began to lock up our prisoners while Nico and Frank picked up the Brits to carry them out to safety.
Except, as soon as we walked outside to get on the parked helicopter, the ground began to shake ferociously.
Suddenly, from the ground a clay figure began emerging. It turned to rocks, then a boulder, before rising up to become the terrifying image of a woman I knocked out eight years ago.
"Gaea!" Hazel announced nervously for us.
"WHO KILLED MY HUSBAND!?" She shouted. Suddenly, her eyes found Hazel's, as the sun began to rise.
"Hazel Levesque. I killed you years ago!" She shot a wave of green energy at Hazel, knocking her into the side of the building.
Before I could even react for her to notice my presence, Frank and Nico sprung into action.
Nico surrounded himself in shadows, and charged, while Frank turned into the largest Eagle I had ever seen and managed to pluck her from the ground.
My jaw dropping, I concentrated and began boiling her immortal ichor, just to distract the enraged deity.
Nico appeared in a shadow of her armpit, and began stabbing her repeatedly with his sword while she was immobile and screaming.
I grunted in pain, as this blood controlling for so long was draining my energy rapidly.
Thankfully, Hazel chose that moment for her eyes to glow golden, and a diamond in the shape of a dagger appeared next to her left foot. Picking it up, she let out a yell and flung it at Gaea's head.
I sighed, collapsing from overusing my powers and released her from my control as I had done with her husband.
She began to flicker from existance, and I heard Nico tell her to go be with her Husband peacefully now.
Slowly, her essence split between Nico, Hazel, and Frank.
"Well, good thing she was still weak from Sharko forcing her into a nap way back when." Sarina shrugged.
"As truly awesome as that was, let's get the hell out of here. I haven't eaten in days!" Thalia exclaimed.
"Agreed, sis. We need to report back so we can liberate this camp with reinforcements."
Jason grabbed the injured/previously captured and flew them back to base while the rest of us went back to the Humvee, after I got King out of his conveniently placed closet.
Arriving back, Phillips asked us "What the fuck happened to y'all?"
"Oh, nothing much. Just fought the Earth and the Sky and won."
"Yeah right, Jackson. I'll hear about what actually happened when we get back to base then."
Frank, Hazel, Piper, Murphy, and I loaded into the vehicle before racing (slowly) out of there.

The demigods were all gathered around a table, playing strip poker.
Another team went to liberate the concentration camp and recover the nuclear warheads, while we were ordered to rest.
"So," Thalia started, the only one fully clothed thus far except for a single bracelet, "that's more lines of the prophecy down. At skyfall, the earth crumbles."
"Yeah! Now if we could just figure out the rest of the damn thing." A shirtless Nico replied.
"Oh come on, we all know that prophecies can't just be figured out, they have to show themselves to us." Hazel stated, her Marines top and a left boot discarded, her t-shirt still remaining.
"Ugh. That's literally the worst! I hate prophecies. And this game!" I grumbled, in just my boxers, with yet another losing hand as I folded for all of our sakes.
"Oh, I was quite enjoying it." A sports bra and military pants clad Sarina chuckled.
I kissed her on the cheek, while Thalia gagged and Jason proclaimed "Ha losers, I've got a full house!" He grinned with pride in just his pants, while Piper, pantsless with spandex shorts on, stopped his partying.
"Not so fast Superman, I've got a royal flush!"
"Alrighty, I don't wanna see any of you lot naked, so we should call this game now." Nico looked distraught.
We all agreed, and swapped topics while putting our clothes back on.
"So, did y'all gain any powers from absorbing primordials?" Sarina asked the five in question.
"As far as I can tell I gained some powers over the wind." Piper said.
"Yeah, and my powers are stronger now." Jason added.
"Our earth powers increased a lot." Nico shrugged.
"I haven't tested it out yet actually, but I can tell you what kind of wood this table is made out of." Frank laughed.
"Well, we already defeated two primordials. Surely the rest of this prophecy will be cake!" Jason said.
"Way to jinx us bro." I grumbled.
"That's definitely not how any of this works." Sarina agreed.
"After all, we still have Kronos and a literal war to deal with." Nico added.
"Why did the president have to insult so many people on Twitter? This was all so avoidable!" Hazel added, having caught up with the times.
"The world may never know." Nico put his head in his hands as we all groaned, separating to our private tents before dinner.
