Pre-Natasha

This is gonna be very strange but hear me out. It's going to follow along the lines of Avengers. But that's later. Right now I'm doing the whole Nat becomes part of Shield thing. I'm not doing any ships and no OC ships because there isn't anyone I want to ship Cassie with. She and Barton are friends. Also I have a hard time describing people sometimes when I have a visual like the cover. I don't know, I'm making this up as I go. Love you all, please don't hate me, and Jason lives.

“What part of 'stealth mission’ does not register in your brain?” Director Fury stood behind his desk, scolding a unconcerned Agent Cassie Troy. They were in the Director of Shield's office, New York's skyline turning different, vibrant colors behind them. There were few windows and lots of computers displaying different files. The main one showed Cassie's last mission, stopping a Russian spy from stealing critical files. It was supposed to be covert until she tripped a trap that alerted and scared the Russian off. The computer froze on Cassie's form tripping the wire.

“Obviously the 'stealth’ part,” she said sarcastically. She gave a crap eating grin as Fury got more riled up.

“Get out of here before I shoot you,” he strained his self control. Cassie opened the door and turned around.

“Aww, Fury. If you did, you'd miss me,” she quickly went out the door and closed it just in time as Fury's gun went off. Cassie stood in the hall a while longer listening to her boss's rant about “aggravating spies and how they always make him have to replace his door”, laughing silently, before turning, heading towards the training room.

“So, judging by the gun shot and you have the 'I almost got shot by someone in Shield again’ look, you pissed off Fury again?” Cassie stopped at the doorway of the training room, watching a blond archer already practicing, “You got a death wish or something?”

“Shut it, Barton. Any more talking and you'll miss,” Clint grinned as he continued hitting the holographic targets in the center.

“Some more of your futuristic seeing, Cass?” He asked while shooting five more targets head on, “Or just wishful thinking?” The targets faded as Clint hit the last target. He turned around to face Cassie, still in the doorway. She walked in and stood next to him.

“If you weren't such a Stark,” she grabbed her knife from her side holster and threw it behind her without looking, hitting a hidden target, “You might've actually won the training exercise.” Cassie crossed her arms smugly as Clint tried to recover.

“Well… uh… Hey don't compare me to Tony Stark!” Clint finally decided to talk about that, “He and I are two totally different people! He-”

“Is rich, is a playboy, has several towers with his name on it, and a suit of armor to hide behind,” she interrupted him, listing off all the things about the billionaire genius. Clint frowned harder. Cassie laughed.

“Oh Clint. You're too easy to aggravate.” her cheerful expression suddenly turned sour as though she smelled something bad.

“Cass?” Clint asked, concerned. Cassie was having a hard time hearing Clint as the room started to fade.

Suddenly, she was standing on a balcony of a grand palace in a familiar, old Greek-style city. With dread, Cassie remembered why it was so familiar.

  “Troy.”

Have fun if you want to know what happened to Cassie, please tell me and I'll get back to you. Don't hate
