* One Year Later *

Maverick was adjusting the cuffs of his shirt while entering his room. He stopped short when he noticed his wife.

Jessica wore a beautiful emerald-colored dress. She was adjusting the necklace which Maverick had gifted her on her birthday. She took the earrings and wore them.

Mark: May I come in, ma'am?

Jessica looked at the door. Maverick was leaning against the door frame, his eyes full of admiration.

Jessica: You don't need to ask permission for entering your room, Mark.

Mark: You look... I don't know what to say. Beautiful? Gorgeous? Elegant? Charming? Or Heavenly?

He entered the room and went towards Jessica.

Mark: Are you even real? What did I do to deserve you?

Jessica took his hands and looked at him.

Jessica: Of course, you did something good. And I did something good as well. You are no less than anything a woman wants her husband to be. You're protective, caring, driven, and charismatic. Though you're a bit jealous sometimes. No one's perfect yet you are the perfect husband I've always dreamt of.

Mark: As the days pass, your beauty is increasing.

Jessica smiled and she recalled the time when Ryan had said the same thing to her at her birthday party 11 years ago.

Maverick cupped her face and placed a kiss on her forehead. He wore the suit jacket and looked at Jessica. He was wearing a navy blue suit.

Mark: Let's go!

Jessica took a mini bag from the bed and followed Maverick to the foyer. Kai was waiting for them. He was wearing a tuxedo and he looked handsome.

Kai: Wow! You two look so graceful.

Jessica: Thank you. You look like a charming prince, dear.

Maverick went towards the garage and brought the car to the driveway. Jessica and Kai walked over to the street and the two got in the car.

Kai: We're going to attend a wedding ceremony? Just like Uncle Albus and Aunt Mia's one?

Mark: Yes dear.

Pamela, Sophia, and Laura were standing with bouquets in their hands.

Pamela: Where are the married couples? Mark, Al? Dan, Penny and Harry are the only people present among the married couples.

Sophia: They will come soon. Don't worry.

Laura: Here's Mia!

Mia and Albus walked into the set with her carrying their baby in her arms. They named her Elly Martinez. Elly was dressed in a beautiful white colored frock with a white hairband. Her small little pink lips were perfectly curved into a sweet smile. The three bridesmaids immediately fell in love with her smile.
Mia was wearing a peach-colored dress while Albus was wearing a plum-coloured suit.

Sophia: Elly looks so freaking cute! I wanna squish her cheeks!

Albus looked at his daughter and smiled. He noticed Alex and excused himself.

Albus: Hey mate! What's up?

Alex: Everything's fine.

Albus: Did you say?

Alex: What?

Albus: Oh come on! I know you, Alex...

Alex: Oh shut up!

Enrique: Alex Smith is shy?! A rare occurrence

Albus let out a mocking cough and Alex glared at him.

Ian was standing behind them, his eyes locked up on a person who was standing with other women. He was mesmerized by her beauty.

Everyone was here for the grand wedding. And about the gang...
Well, Jessica and Maverick had made it seventy percent legal and they're planning to make it a hundred by Kai's sixth birthday.
They took over DDIA and their illegal activities have reduced a lot. Common people have started to rely on them and they respect Born Titans.

The car halted in the parking lot. Kai jumped out of the car and waited for his parents. Maverick got out of the car and walked up to Jessica. He opened the window and let out his hand for her. Jessica smiled and placed her hand on his. Maverick held her hand tightly and she got out of the car.

Of course, she would have gotten out of the car herself, but Maverick doesn't get the chance every day to treat her like this. And whenever he gets the chance, he never misses it.

The three of them walked towards the setting. Jessica had her hand entangled with Maverick's.

Laura: Jessica's here!

Everyone's attention went towards them. The power couple with their son walked up to them. She was happy. It was a long time since they had a reunion.

Pamela: You look great!

Laura: My bestie for a reason!

Sophia: Shh! The ceremony is going to begin.

The entire set went quiet. Everyone's attention was either on the groom or on the bride who was standing at the other end of the aisle with her mother by her side.
A bright aura seemed to be radiated by the bride who was wearing an A-Line gown with a bouquet of white and pink roses in her hands. She looked at the groom through the veil.
The groom, dressed in a black and white suit, stood steadily waiting for his bride. The bride finally started to walk towards the groom.
When she was close to the groom, her mother left her and stood aside with Jessica.

Ryan smiled looking at Ashley who stood in front of him. Things worked out between them. As Jessica requested, Ryan talked to Ashley and they started to date again, for real without having to worry about anything.

Most of the people had been enemies at some point. Laura, Ian, Sophia, and Enrique hated Born Killers, and Maverick, Daniel, Alex, Albus, and Ryan hated Titans. Ryan, Pamela, and Jessica worked for DDIA which caused a lot of havoc last year. Jessica was Maverick's enemy and a lot happened between them.

But if it's meant to be, nothing can stop it from happening.

Ashley and Ryan exchanged vows and everyone awed and whistled when they kissed each other. Jessica wiped happy tears. She was happy for both of them. She was happy for Ryan, the man whom she loved at one point. She was happy that Ashley found her love. She was happy that they found their better half.

It was time to throw the bridal bouquet. The maidens crowded behind Ashley and waited for her to throw.

Pamela: Hey! It should be aimed at me, Ashley

Sophia: Pam! That's not the rule...

Alex: I wish it's Pam...

Ashley threw the bouquet and it landed perfectly into Laura's hand. Enrique patted Ian's back.

Enrique: Good luck with that, man

Ian looked at Laura who looked back at him. He walked towards her. He knelt in front of her and took out a box.

Ian: You've brought out the best of me, Laura. I played around with other women to forget you. But you're unforgettable, Laura. If you hadn't given your blood, I wouldn't have been here. Today, I'm alive just because of you. You're my life, my everything, Laura. So...

He opened the box.
Ian: Will you marry me, Laura?

Laura looked at Ian's face. He looked so pure. His eyes spoke pure love, his lips wanting to kiss her and claim her his. Laura nodded and she let her hand out to him. Ian stood up and slid the ring on her finger. He cupped her face and gently placed his lips on hers.

Sophia: There are too many things occurring at the same time! And I'm freaking loving it!

Enrique (whispers): Oh don't worry. I'll make other things happen once we return. I'll make tonight unforgettable. And you'll love that as well.

Sophia's cheeks reddened and she looked down shyly.

It was time for the after-party. Maverick bowed to Jessica like a prince and they danced gracefully. The newly married couple took over the stage and they outshone everyone.

After Ryan and Ashley were done, Ryan went to Ian. 

Ian: Congratulations!

Ryan looked at Ian's chest.
Ryan: How are you?

Ian looked at his eyes. He put his right hand on his chest and groaned.

Ian: It hurts a lot, man!

Ryan looked concerned.
Ryan: I'm sorry...

Ian let out a laugh and patted Ryan's shoulder.
Ian: I'm kidding. Anyone in your position would've done that thing. And don't be guilty about it. It's your day! Enjoy it to the fullest.

Ryan: Why don't you and Laura take over the stage?

Ian cheekily smiled and went to Laura.

Jessica was talking with the other ladies present there when Ian pulled Laura out of the gang and they took over the stage. Jessica saw Ryan standing beside her.

Ryan: Thank you, Jessica

Jessica smiled and looked at Ashley.

Jessica: You two looked great there. I'm glad that I didn't make a bad choice.

Ashley: You never made a bad choice. You were always right. I love you, Jess! Thank you so much

The three had a friendly hug. Jessica left them and sat on a nearby chair. Everyone applauded as Ian and Laura bowed to the audience after their performance.

Mark: Shall we, Love?

Jessica looked to her left and saw Maverick with Kai in his arms. Jessica stood up and nodded. She informed Ashley and left the set.

Pamela looked at Laura and Ian.
Pamela: Wow! They are a thing...

Alex: Yeah... Sophia and Enrique as well. And I saw Penny and Dan kissing in the corner. I bet they're gonna make love tonight.

Pamela: Alex, You'll never change.
She looked for someone and then looked at Alex.

Pamela: Did they already leave?

Alex: Yeah. Harry will attend one of the toughest fighting classes tomorrow. And you know Dan, he's quite strict with fighting.

Pamela: Oh right!

There was silence between them for a few seconds. Pamela looked at Alex. He looked a bit tensed.

Pamela: Are you okay?

Alex nodded and looked at her.

Alex: Pamela Williams, are you free for the next few weeks?

Pamela raised her eyebrows and slowly nodded.

Alex: O-Okay... That sounds good

Pamela: Why?

Alex took a deep breath and took a step towards her. He looked at her face, shifted his gaze at her reddish brown hair, and then finally landed his eyes on her sparkling deep blue eyes. Pamela looked into his deep hazel eyes behind those glasses.

Alex: I want you to join me. I want to travel the world and find myself all over again. With you. Will you be my partner, Pamela?

Pamela smiled and her cheeks blushed. She knew it was Alex's way of proposing to her.

Pamela: Anything for you, Alex.

Alex: Make sure your bags are packed by the weekend.

Pamela: Definitely!

Pamela was happy that Alex was finally coming out of his shell. He deserved all the happiness and she was ready to give him.

The two left together.

Maverick and Jessica were on their way back to the mansion. Kai was sitting in the middle seat, fast asleep while Jessica was in the passenger's seat.

Mark: How are you feeling?
Jessica looked at Maverick who was already looking at her. She always felt the admiration in his eyes.

Jessica: Feel? About what? You? Kai? Or the wedding?

Maverick turned his face to the front.
Mark: The wedding, Ian and Laura

Jessica: Do you know about Pam?

Maverick frowned.
Mark: Are you talking about Pam and Alex?

Jessica: Yeah

Mark: Of course, I knew about it. I knew Pam liked him for a long time. Come on, I'm her brother

Jessica: Yeah, right!

Jessica turned her face and sighed.
Jessica: Last year was hectic. And this one year seemed too fast. Like everything happened in a blink of an eye.

Mark: Yeah. We found peace. Finally.

Jessica: Yup! I'm just waiting for Kai's birthday. And then, we'll live the dream we always wanted to

Mark: Us growing old together

Jessica turned to face Maverick. She smiled looking at him.

Mark: What?

Jessica: Nothing. I like staring at you. I feel lost when I do that, I don't even blame for that.

Mark: Don't you feel lost when I look into your eyes?

Maverick kept his palm on Jessica's left palm and looked at her.

Jessica: That's my favorite place to feel lost. And when I do, I don't remember about the surroundings.

Maverick leaned closer and Jessica didn't hesitate. Their lips were about to touch when Jessica turned the stirring wheel all of a sudden.

Mark: Oh shit!

They were about to hit a car, thanks to Jessica who noticed that from the corner of her eyes and saved them.

Jessica: You were going to kill us!
She giggled and Maverick admired her smile.

Mark: And you are always there to save us. And we aren't scared of death, right?

Jessica nodded.
Jessica: Been there a lot of times.
They talked about the past for the rest of the journey.

More than a whole decade has passed since they had first met in the restaurant.
And their hearts had always called out each other's names. They knew they belonged to each other.

They found peace in each other's presence. 
They found love and happiness in each other.
And most importantly, they felt at home when they were together...
