Mark: Our son got abducted by that fvcking friend of yours!

Jessica was shocked to hear. She couldn't believe her ears.

Jessica: No...

Ryan: Ian did

Jessica: Mark, I think there's a misunderstanding. Ian would never do that!

Mark: Really? Alex tracked Kline's number. He did call Liam Lopez! Why would he call Lopez if he had nothing to do with him?

Jessica gulped. Maverick was furious and he was growling at Jessica. He had a hoarse tone and there was no mercy in his voice.
Jessica: Mark...

Mark: Do not say anything! Because of you, Kai is not here! He has been abducted and no one knows where he is. Now tell me, where were you?

Jessica: I had work

Mark: What work?

Jessica looked at Ryan. He looked tensed.
Jessica: Ryan, please tell me that all of it isn't true. Please...

Ryan: Jessica... I warned you

Jessica: Mark, I had work and it was important. Listen, don't do anything to Ian. Let me talk to him. Please. And about your question, it's a long story. I'll tell you everything.

Mark: Make it short and tell me

Jessica walked closer to him.
Jessica: We need to find Kai first. Please

Maverick noticed that her voice was dimmed down. She held onto his arm and she looked defeated.
For the first time...
Maverick had never seen her in this state, not even when she was held captive in the Torture Cell eight years ago. Maverick yanked her hand away.

Mark: I'll get him.

Jessica: That's what I'm saying. We shou—

Mark: There's no we. You aren't going anywhere.

Jessica: What?!

Maverick looked at a guard. He took out a GPS device.

???: Ian Kline isn't far away from here. We can still get him within two hours

Mark: Perfect

Jessica: You still tracked them even after I told you not to?

As if Jessica wasn't losing her mind, Maverick was adding fuel to the fire one after another. Maverick didn't say anything. Jessica's phone buzzed. She ignored the call.

Maverick took a step towards her.
Mark: Jessica, my Love. I love you and I'm doing everything to protect you and Kai.

Jessica: You do not love me! If you had, you'd have listened to me.

Maverick closed his eyes, took a deep breath and looked at Jessica.
Mark: I trust no one. I tracked everyone who entered the house. Especially those from the Titans

Jessica: Then you shouldn't be trusting me as well. I am the heir of that gang that killed your father. I'm the daughter of that man who killed your father. Tell me you don't trust me!

Ryan: Jessica! He didn't mean that

Jessica: Ryan! Don't interfere in this. I understood what he wants.

Mark: You want to hear this, right? Yes! I don't trust you. I never did.

Ashley gasped and Ryan stood there stunned. Jessica's lips parted as if she was going to say something.
But she couldn't...

Maverick instantly regretted the words that blurted out of his mouth. He wished to take those back but once out, they'll never come back.

She smiled... while she fought back the tears that were getting accumulated in her eyes.
Maverick noticed the smile.
It meant danger...
And he also noticed her watery eyes. He took a deep breath and looked at Ryan.

Mark: Ryan, let's go! And you two...
Maverick pointed at two of his guards.
Mark: ... Make sure she doesn't leave the house. She must stay here until I settle the business.

Two guards: Yes Boss!

Maverick left. Ryan looked at Jessica. She stood there, in the middle of the living room.
She looked so lost, helpless and defeated.
Ryan felt sorry for her but he did try to warn her.
Ryan left and Ashley followed him, her face has gone extremely pale. Everyone left except the two guards who stayed inside.

Jessica let out a sigh.
Jessica: You never trusted me...

A thick teardrop fell from her left eye.
Jessica: You never listened to me

She sat down on the couch. She heard the cars rush out of the garage.

Ashley: Ryan... I'm scared.

Ryan: You should go back now. You're safe for a while.
Ryan motioned his men to take Ashley to his house. Ashley was terrified and she looked like she had seen a ghost.
Ryan gave the keys to his car to one of his men. Ashley sat in the car and the guards drove away.

Ryan went and sat on the passenger's seat.
Ryan: What are you thinking?

Maverick didn't speak a word after he left the house.

He knew he hurt Jessica by saying those words. But he wanted her to stay out of this. He didn't want to lose her anymore.
But maybe he lost her...

Jessica is the one whom he trusts the most. And Jessica is his weakness. Maverick doesn't want anything to happen to her. Jessica is his responsibility and he should keep her safe. He knows that if Jessica steps outside, Liam will definitely harm her so that Maverick gives in to him.

But Maverick will never do such a thing. He will bring back his son to Jessica. Safely.

Ryan felt bad for both of them. He knew that Maverick didn't mean what he said and he also felt sorry for Jessica. But Ryan did know about Jessica being in contact with Jackson Rivera. And Ryan did try to warn her as DDIA is the one who caused all the havoc.
Maverick wanted Jessica to be safe and wanted her to let him do things as he was unaware of what she was doing. Ryan sighed and tried to brush those thoughts away. Right now, bringing Kai back was important. Maverick had made a wise move by tracking all those who entered his house.
He was always a step ahead.

Jessica was in her room. She was worried about a lot of things. Firstly, it was Kai. She knew Ian would never do such a thing. The second was Ian. She knew about Maverick's wrath. She needed to stop them from reaching Ian.
Unfortunately, Jessica won't be able to contact anyone as her number was blocked from all services. She knew it was Alex who was ordered by Maverick.
She wanted someone's help but she didn't know whose. Enrique and Sophia were far away.
And she couldn't escape. There were two guards inside the house and a lot more outside.

She was alone...

Ryan: I knew about this, Mark

Maverick looked at him and frowned. Ryan looked at the GPS navigator.

Ryan: Looks like Ian is in his house in New York.

Mark: You know about his house?

Ryan: Yes. I was always suspicious of him. Enrique and Sophia are trustworthy. But I always had a strong guy feeling about this guy named Ian.

Mark: Why didn't you tell me if you'd doubted him?

Ryan: For Jessica's sake.

Maverick hit the steering wheel.
Mark: That woman...

Maverick was vexed. Ryan took a deep breath and turned to him.

Ryan: As I was saying, I already knew about Jessica. She had gone to Jackson to get more information about Poison Ivy. She didn't want to tell you because she knows that you won't allow her. Jackson's the one who told her about Paul. Maybe, she wanted to tell you everything but didn't find the right time.

Ryan sighed. Maverick was once again lost in his thoughts. He recalled the time when Jessica wanted to confess to him. It was that time when Jessica had returned late and Maverick was in the mood to have sex with her. He had stopped her or rather didn't give her another chance to vocalize her demands. He also figured that she didn't tell him anything as she was off at him.
Maverick cursed himself as he realized how things would have been better if he had listened to her that night. 
If only he had let her...
Nevertheless, he was angry at her for not informing any of the members of Born Killers. He was angry that she didn't even tell Ryan about her going to Jackson on that day.

Jessica switched her phone off. She took a deep breath. She opened the window and waited by there. The tone of notification was heard.

Jessica peeped out of the window. There were guards there. She looked at the object in her hand. She dropped it in the nearby bushes.

The guards heard the thud and looked upwards. Jessica had shut the window. The guards went towards the bush to see the matter. A strong smell was coming out. A pungent odor spread quickly and the guards were busy coughing. They moved away from there. They felt nauseous and wanted to throw up. She threw a few more from other rooms and all the guards fell, laying unconscious on the ground.

Jessica went back to her room and opened the window and looked outside. She could see a car in the driveway. Jessica climbed up the window sill and jumped down onto the grass. She ran towards the car and halted near it.

Jessica: Thanks

Penelope: Always dear

The tone that was heard was a message sent by Penelope to Jessica.
Years ago, she had learned to hack from none other than Alex Smith. No matter how much he tried, Jessica would always know how to unblock the services. And that's what she did.
Jessica had another secret cell phone that no one knew about. Not even Maverick Williams. She had contacted Penelope. 

Penny: Now tell me what's the matter?

Jessica: I'll tell you everything, later. Go inside. I don't have much time.

Penelope nodded and she got out of the car and climbed up to Jessica's room, finally reaching the window. Jessica watched her as Penelope got inside the room and shut the window.

Penelope would stay in the house as Jessica. Daniel didn't know about this, otherwise, this wouldn't have been successful. Penelope had somehow made Daniel believe her excuse. Fortunately.

Jessica: Just twenty minutes.

Jessica drove the car to Ian's place where Maverick and Ryan were going. She needed to get there before any of the members of Born Titans reached there.

As always, she was two steps ahead of her husband.

The door was slightly open but there wasn't any sound from inside the room. A man entered the room and switched on the light.
A boy was sitting on the bed. He stood up and looked at the man.

Liam: Hello dear!

The boy didn't say anything.

???: What's your name?

Liam: Oh! you won't know me, kid

???: And that's why I asked for your name.

Liam smiled.
Liam: You've got your mother's feisty attitude. I'm Liam Lopez

???: I'm Kai Kennedy Williams

Liam: I know. You've got your father's face, do you know that?

Kai: Where are my parents?

Liam: They're a bit busy. They'll come soon.

Kai: Why did you bring me here? You don't look familiar

Liam: You know what your parents do, right? I belong to the same category of people. But, right now, I'm playing the role of a bad guy.

Kai didn't say anything. He stared at Liam.

Liam: Are you hungry?

Kai shook his head.

Liam: What do you like to do?

Kai: I want to make paper boats. Bring me some papers, please

Liam looked at the kid. It was quite surprising for him that a kid was kind of ordering him. He didn't say anything as Kai was just a kid. He didn't want to cause any harm to the kid but rather make Jessica restless. He knew Jessica would do anything to have her kid back.

Liam: Sure! Bring the kid some papers!

Jessica's phone buzzed. She saw that it was Jackson. She dialed his number on her cellphone and called him. She knew that her phone was getting tracked and so she called him using the cellphone.

Jackson: Hello?

Jessica: This is Jessica Kennedy speaking.

Jackson: Oh! Jessica, I just found out that there's a second traitor.

Jessica: Who?

Jackson: I'm sorry to say but it's Ian Kline. According to my men, Ian had joined your gang for some kind of vengeance. He had joined hands with Liam to destroy you. Please be careful. I hope everything's fine

Jessica: No, actually. Can you help me?

Jackson: Is there any problem?

Jessica: My son got abducted by Liam.

Jackson: My goodness!

Jessica: Can your men help me in finding him? I'll do anything you want me to.

Jackson: Being a mother made you weak at heart. I'll try to do something. I guess Isabella can help you

Jessica: That will be a great help.

Jackson: Don't worry. DDIA will always help you.

Jessica hung up. She was almost there.

Jessica (thinks): I just don't want Mark to reach Ian before me. He needs to listen

Maverick's cars were parked in front of Ian's house. Maverick and Ryan sped towards the house. They barged inside. There was no one.

???: What are you all doing here?

Laura had come out of the kitchen. She was surprised to see them. The rest of the guards had surrounded the house so that they could catch Ian Kline if he tried to escape.

Mark: Where's my son?

Laura was confused. She couldn't make any head or tail of what was happening.

Laura: I'm sorry, but how would I know where Kai is?

Ryan: Because Ian took away Kai from the house

Laura: Nonsense! Ian would never do that!

Mark: Listen, Laura. We have enough evidence. Ian did abduct my son and I'm sure he's here. If you don't want any chaos, tell us where Kai is. And where is Ian, by the way?

Laura: He went out a few minutes ago. Listen, Williams, Ian didn't abduct Kai. I don't know from where you got the evidence, but I'm sure about Ian. I know him. He would never do anything that would hurt Jessica.

???: What's happening here?

Maverick and Ryan turned around and saw him. Maverick went to him and pulled him by his collar.

Mark: Where's my son?!

Ian: Sorry?

They noticed that Ian had a suitcase with him.
Ryan: How much money did you get for kidnapping Kai?! How much money did Liam Lopez pay you?!

Ian looked stern. He looked into Maverick's eyes.

Ian: I don't know where your son is.

Laura: Ian, I don't know what they're talking about. Is it true that you abducted Kai?

Ian: Why would I do that?

Mark: Why did you keep in contact with Liam Lopez?!

The two were looking at each other with deadly eyes. Ian yanked Maverick's hand from his collar.

Ian: You like making people's life miserable, right? I like it when I see you miserable. I remember how your parents made my life miserable by making me watch my father's death! I will never forgive you. I like to see that pain, that misery in your eyes when you lose the one you love the most.

The hard slap fell on Ian's cheek.
Ryan: You motherf*cker! What did you do to Kai?! Answer me!

Mark: Leave him. I'll handle him.

Saying this, Maverick took out his gun and pointed it at Ian.

Jessica reached the door of the house and heard an ear-splitting scream. Jessica entered and saw Laura looking at the man standing right in front of her. The man fell on Jessica's shoulder. Jessica held him tightly and sat down. Jessica's eyes widened.

Ian was lying on her lap, blood coming out of his chest. Jessica looked at the one who shot him.

Maverick Williams had his gun out, pointing it at the same place where Ian was standing.

Ian: I... tried.

Jessica: Ian... I know everything.

Ian: I'm sorry

Maverick and Ryan were shocked to see her.
How did she manage to escape when there was tight security all around the mansion...?

Ian was out of breath. He held onto Jessica's hand and his eyes slowly shut down. Jessica looked at Maverick with pure hatred in her eyes.

Ryan: He abducted your son, Jessica.
 
Jessica: SHUT UP, RYAN! IAN NEVER DID SUCH A THING!
