Alex and Pamela came out of the hall.

Daniel: What's up with you?

Pamela: Jessica isn't there. Mark's nowhere to be seen.

Alex: The main characters of this event are themselves absent.

Alex saw Paul standing next to Daniel. He wasn't there when Alex had arrived.

Alex: Hey man! What's up?

Paul: I'm fine. What about you?

The two shook hands and patted each other on the back.

Alex: Woah! What's up with her now?

Alex saw Jessica coming out of the hall with her jaw clenched. She looked angry as if she was ready to beat someone. She was wearing a furry white coat over her dress.

Daniel: Is everything alright?

Penelope came out with Harry and Kai. Mia and Albus had left early. Mia had skipped the drink section as it was not good for her health as well as the health of the one growing inside her.

Jessica nodded. She didn't look at anyone but simply glared at nowhere.

Pamela: Did Mark say anything?

Jessica looked at Paul and then at Daniel. She finally rested her eyes on the space between the two.

Jessica: You should be careful.

Daniel's phone buzzed with a notification. He checked the message out. Maverick had sent him something.
Jessica looked at Alex.
Jessica: And you should be careful of your judgement.

Alex frowned. Jessica lifted Kai into her arms and left.

Daniel: You should go back

Penny: And what about you?

Daniel: I've some work. I'll reach shortly after you reach home. Take care of Harry

Penelope left with Harry.

Pamela: What did Jessica mean?

Daniel locked his phone and kept it in his pocket. He shot Paul dead in that spot. Pamela flinched as soon as she heard the gunshot.

Pamela: What the hell, Daniel?

Alex looked at his phone. Maverick had also sent him the same. He was shocked to find that Paul is the traitor.

Daniel: I owe a lot of people apology. And so do you, Alex.

And Enrique and Sophia were two of those people.

It was almost 1:00 a.m. when Maverick entered his house. The living room was dark. He stealthily walked towards the stairs.

Jessica: Oh! You finally came back!
She switched on the light in the room. Maverick stopped in his tracks and looked at his wife.
She looked calm. And she was smiling.

Mark: I was attending the guests unlike you

Kai was in his room, sound asleep. Jessica was wearing a red nightgown that reached up to her thighs. She had a night robe made of silk over it. She was holding a wine glass and sipping red wine from there. She went and sat down on the couch.

Jessica: You want me to apologize to you?

Maverick opened his suit jacket and kept it on the chair. He loosened his tie and walked towards Jessica.

Mark: Yes.

Jessica drained the rest of the wine in the glass, kept it aside and laughed. She stopped laughing and looked at Maverick. Dead in the eye. She stood up and folded her arms.
She slowly walked towards Maverick with the same stone-cold expression.

Jessica: Over my Rich. Hot. Dead body!

Saying, she went to her room. Maverick followed her. He leaned against the door frame and saw Jessica open the robe she was wearing. She tucked her hair behind her left ear and trailed her fingers from the back of the ear to her neck to her collarbone. Maverick noticed the way she was touching herself.

Mark: You can simply ask for it.

Jessica raised her eyebrows.

Mark: Don't act innocent. I know what you're trying to do.

Maverick stepped into his room. Jessica sat on the bed, her one leg on the other, and stared at Maverick.

Mark: I like your rich, hot body.

He undid the buttons of his shirt and opened his shirt. He opened his innerwear and tossed it aside. He closed the door and locked it.

A tiny smirk appeared on the corner of Jessica's lips. Maverick sat on the bed, beside her. Jessica removed her right leg from over her left one. Maverick looked at her thighs and smirked. He poked his tongue on his cheek.

Mark: So, you won't apologize?

Jessica flipped her hair back and looked at Maverick's left hand which was close to her. She let out a breath.

Jessica: No

Maverick finally placed his hand on her thigh.
Mark: You should stop being so bitchy!

Jessica: Yet, you want to get inside this bitch. Deep inside.

Maverick's hand went upwards and reached her underwear. He pulled it down slowly. Jessica didn't stop him. Once he was done, he threw it aside. He lifted her and made her sit on his lap, her legs on either side of his hip.

Mark: I'm sorry

Jessica: Apology accepted.

Mark: But...
He looked at her chest and bit his lips.
Mark: Be ready to beg. You're naked down there.

Ryan was waiting outside a restaurant. He had agreed to take Ashley out for a dinner that day. Moreover, it was a new restaurant and they wanted to try the menu there.

Ashley had refused to let Ryan pick her up from her office. She had said that she could go by herself as the restaurant was not so far from her office.

After a few minutes, Ryan saw her. She was wearing a suit and she looked stunning. Ashley saw Ryan and waved her hand at him.
Suddenly, a car halted near her. A man shouted from the car.

???: Quick! Get that girl!

Two men jumped out of the car and ran towards Ashley. Ashley screamed as the men caught hold of her hands. Ryan saw the car and immediately ran towards the men. Before the men bring Ashley up to the car, Ryan shot them and took Ashley's hand. They ran towards Ryan's car and Ryan immediately started the engine as soon as Ashley sat on the passenger's seat.

The men who were shot got inside the car and the car started to chase Ryan. Ashley closed her eyes shut and put her hands on her ears. She couldn't take the sound of the gunshots which were aimed at Ryan's car.

Ryan pulled the gear and sped up. He hid his car behind a bushy area. Ashley held tightly onto his shirt. She was breathing heavily and tears were streaming down her cheeks.
But she didn't make any sound.

Jessica: What happened?

Ryan: Ashley was attacked

Jessica: Ivy?

Ryan: Yes

Ryan nodded and then hung up. After Poison Ivy's car went away from the area, Jessica messaged Ryan that it was safe to come out of hiding.
Ryan drove the car to his place. He brought Ashley into his house.

Ashley: Why did you bring me here?

Ryan: Your safety is my priority. You're in danger

Ashley: Was it an enemy gang? I didn't want to get involved with gangs and all. I'm scared, Ryan

Ashley was crying hard. Ryan hugged her and tried to console her.

Ryan: I'm with you. I won't let anything happen to you. You believe me, right?

Ashley nodded. She tightened the hug. Ryan patted her head and kissed her head.

Ryan: Sit here and drink some water.

Ashley: Ryan... What about my stuff? They're in my house.

Ryan: I'll arrange something. Will it be okay if you stay with me? Here?

Ashley gulped. There was pure fear in her eyes.

Ryan: I promise. I will keep you safe. I won't let any danger happen to you.

Ryan brought a glass of water and gave it to Ashley. She drank the water in one go.

Ashley: I have no problem

Jessica: Will it be okay if I pay a visit to you tomorrow?

Jackson: Is everything alright?

Jessica hung up and looked at Kai. He was playing with a toy gun. There were guards everywhere outside the house, yet Jessica wanted someone trustworthy to be with her son.

Kai: Mum! I wanna have something delicious tomorrow

Jessica went to him and knelt in front of him.
Jessica: What do you wanna have?

Kai: Cupcakes. I loved it!

Jessica: You love mumma's cooking?

Kai nodded. His eyes were shining and he had a sweet smile on his face.

Jessica: I'll do it.

Kai: Really? Thank you!

Jessica smiled looking at him. This was the first time Kai had wished for something.

Liam: Well, Mr. Kline

Ian: Mr. Lopez, Jessica's gonna leave Kai alone tomorrow. She requested me to go there. I think this is the best opportunity.

Ian heard a gasp from the other side of the phone.

Liam smirked from the other side.

It was almost twilight when the doorbell rang.
Everyone had work that day and Jessica didn't want to disturb Mia during that time. And that's the reason why she called Ian.

Kai nodded. Suddenly, Jessica's phone buzzed. She smiled and received the call.

Mark: Hello, Love! How's everything?

Jessica: Perfect.

Mark: It's only a matter of a few hours. I'll return soon.

Jessica: That's good!

Mark: Take care of yourself and Kai

Jessica: You too.

Mark: Yes, ma'am

Jessica's face brightened. Maverick hung up. Jessica's heart was beating with joy.
Finally, he was coming back.

Jessica: Kai, stay with Uncle Ian. I'll return shortly after.

Kai: Okay!

Ian: Don't worry. Your son's safe with me.

Jessica went out of her house. She met Ashley midway.

Ashley: Hey! Guess what? I just got promoted! By the look of your attire, are you going somewhere?

Jessica nodded.
Jessica: Yeah. I didn't expect you to be here. It's good that you came. Kai's with Ian. He'll be happy to see you.

Ashley: Kai's here? That's great! He's such a sweet child.

Jessica walked past her and went to the garage. Ashley saw Ian standing at the door with Kai.

Jessica parked the car in the parking lot and went towards the building. The guards didn't stop her.
She knocked on the door. Another guard opened the door.

Jackson: Oh! It's you

Jackson motioned the guard to go out. Jessica entered the room and sat down.

Jackson: What brings you here?

Jessica took a deep breath.
Jessica: You're right. Liam is trying to do something.

Jackson: Did he threaten you?

Jessica: Kind of

Jackson: So, what's your issue?

Jessica: Can you give me more information about Poison Ivy? I'm asking you since it was right under DDIA. I know you still have records about the gang

Jackson smiled.
Jackson: You're still that clever girl I knew

Jessica smiled. Jackson stood up and went to the lockers. After some time, he came to the table with a file.

Jackson: Here. It contains all the information about Poison Ivy. But...

Jessica raised her eyebrows.
Jackson: It has the information till the time before I took over DDIA

Jessica: It won't be a problem. Thank you

Jackson: My pleasure.

Jessica took the file and went out of the room.

It was already midnight by the time she reached home. She was surprised to see no guards around the house. She drove the car to the garage and found Maverick's car.

Jessica: He's back? So early?

Jessica was worried about herself as she didn't inform about her meeting Jackson. She knew no one wanted to keep any contact with DDIA.
She halted as soon as she saw the main door open. She could see that there were people in the living room.

What happened...?

Jessica walked towards the door and slowed down as she was Maverick. Ryan was there with Ashley. And all the guards stood there looking nervous.

Mark: When did it happen?!

???: Possibly, an h-hour or two ago

The calm expression on Maverick's face was gone. He held the man by his collar and pulled him closer, visible fear wavered through the man's eyes.

??: Boss, we didn't know. It was Ian Kline. Boss Jessica had asked him to come. We thought since she had called, there won't be any danger.

???: We didn't take any action despite you telling us to be careful of Titans' people.

Ryan: Jessica had called Ian?

Mark: Fvcking b!tch!

Ashley looked at the door.
Ashley: Jessica...

She was the first one to notice her. The rest of the people turned their heads to her. Jessica didn't know what was happening except the fact that Maverick was infuriated. Jessica entered the foyer. She walked towards Maverick.

Jessica: What happened?

Maverick looked at her, and even she got a bit scared of the look in his eyes. He walked closer to her.

Mark: Where were you?

Jessica: I had work

Mark: Did you call Ian here?

Jessica: Mark, what happened? Please, tell me

A small table was in between them. Maverick kicked it away and the glass shattered into pieces.

Ashley flinched while Jessica stood to affirm.
