So, he's the traitor. But Jessica believes him and he's been a part of Titans for a very long time.

Liam: I really wanna know the reason. Why are you betraying Jessica?

Ian: Nathan Williams, Maverick Williams' father. He killed my father. I still remember the day. 

Ian took a pause and looked at Liam.

Ian: I joined Titans in my teens. Everyone knows about Titans and Born Killers' enmity. I joined Titans in order to seek revenge. But now they've come together. I've waited for a lot of years. I needed support. And I've got you

Ian smiled.

So in the end, it's all revenge?

Ian: Jessica believes me but the others don't. Maverick doesn't disclose anything with us since we're a part of Titans.

Liam: Oh don't worry about that.
Liam had an evil grin.

Ian: Sorry?

A man entered the room.
Liam: Here's my little spy. Daniel Scott's right-hand man, Paul Miller. He'll provide me with all the information. Ian, I trust you. We're both gonna destroy Jessica's empire.

* A week later *

Jessica woke up early and went for a shower. She came out of the shower and saw Maverick sitting on the bed facing her.

Mark: Morning, Love

Jessica didn't say anything. She could sense his eyes on her as she walked past him and went to the wardrobe to take out warm ironed clothes.

She felt Maverick's hands wrap her waist. He put his chin on her shoulder.

Mark: It's already five years
He planted a peck on Jessica's neck. He slowly tried to open the knot of the bathrobe but Jessica stopped him.

Jessica: Mark, I have work. If you'd please leave me...

Maverick left her and went out of the room. Jessica locked the door and removed her bathrobe from her body. She wore freshly ironed clothes. She opened the door once she was done.

She went to Kai's room. He was sleeping quietly. She went downstairs to have something. She munched the muesli. She preferred having them without milk.
She washed the bowl and kept it aside. She looked around the kitchen to see if everything was in place. Maverick was walking towards her.

Jessica: Help yourself. I'll try to return soon, Mark

Maverick blocked her way to go out of the kitchen.

Jessica: What? Mark, please move aside. I'm gonna be late.

Mark: Come on. It's been five years. How can I let you work on this day...?

Jessica was confused. The previous years Maverick didn't stop her from going to work.
   
Maverick lifted her, took her inside the kitchen, and made her sit on the counter.
Jessica (thinks): The fvck is he trying to do now?

Jessica: Mark, what is this behaviour?

Maverick spread her legs wide and placed his hands on her inner thigh. A shiver ran down Jessica's spine. One of his hands went back to the hem of her crop top.

Maverick held Jessica's neck and pulled her closer to him.
Mark: There's no fixed place or fixed time to have sex.

Jessica: Oh God! Not again!

Mark: I like it when you pray, when you beg.

Jessica was trying hard not to give in. His voice was seducing and he knew that his voice could turn Jessica on.  Jessica tried hard not to look at his face but that clean shaven face and twinkling icy blue eyes made her go weak on the knees.

Mark: Well Daniel and I had planned something.

He left her neck and wrapped both his hands around her waist. 
Mark: Happy Anniversary, Love.

Jessica's face broke into a smile. She wrapped her hands around his neck.
Jessica: Happy Anniversary.

She moved her gaze from his eyes to his lips.
Jessica: What did the two of you plan?

Mark: I'll tell you only if you stop gazing at my lips. I know you crave them, Babe

Jessica shut her eyelids.
Jessica: Fine! I won't gaze anywhere now.

Mark (laughs): We're throwing a grand party tonight! Let's get drunk tonight!

Ashley was now an interior designer. She had just sat down to have her breakfast when the doorbell rang.

Ashley: I can't even eat peacefully!

She ignored it and continued to eat her breakfast. The doorbell rang again and there was a bang on her door. She kept the plate on the table and stood up.

Ashley gulped.
Who is it?

She mustered some courage. She took the knife from the kitchen and went towards the door.

Ashley: W-Who's there?

There was no response from the other side of the door. There was another knock from the other side.

???: It's me.

Ashley let out a sigh of relief. She knew the voice. She kept the knife and opened the door.
Ryan was standing there.

Ashley: You literally scared me, Ryan!

Ryan: Sorry for that.

Ashley: Why don't you come inside?

Ryan: I'm sorry, I'm in a hurry! I wanted to call you but couldn't find your number.

Ashley: That's a lame excuse, mister. You found out where I live but couldn't find out my number.

Ryan... You're caught (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)!

Ryan: Well, Born Titans is holding a party tonight. It's been five years since the Boss and the Underboss got married. I'd be happy to see you there.

Ryan winked. Ashley smiled.
Ashley: Oh my God! But...

Ashley's face darkened. Ryan frowned and stepped a bit closer to her.

Ryan: But?

Ashley: Maverick Williams... He's a gangster, right? They do all illegal work. Will it be okay to get involved with all these?

Ryan: It's completely your decision. I'll never force you on anything. If you think it's not safe, don't go.

Ryan smiled at her. Ashley looked at him. Something in his smile made her feel safe.

Ashley: Well... You and Jessica will be there. I don't think there's going to be any problem. I can't imagine that it's already been five years! I will go.

Ryan: Glad

Ashley: Oh no! I've to think about a gift! Why didn't you say it earlier...?

Ashley pouted and Ryan internally chuckled at her expression.
Ryan: I came to know about it today. Well, my dear brother and Mark had planned this. By the way, where's your mother?

Ashley: She went on a vacation with her friends. I'm here all alone.

Ryan: I'll get going. Good luck!

Ryan hugged her and left the panicked girl.

*In the evening*

Mia stepped into the ceremony hall with Albus. Mia was wearing a blue cocktail dress while Albus was wearing a suit.

Kai: You came?

Mia smiled at the boy who stood in front of her.

Mia: Yup! You invited me. How could I not come?

Kai: Why's there a bump here? It's so big!
Kai pointed at her belly.

Mia smiled looking at her bump.
Mia: Your mum didn't tell you? Albus and I are going to have a baby

Kai: Really? I missed you a lot, you know

Kai looked at Mia innocently. Albus smiled at him.

Mia: Oh I'm sorry. What can I do? My boyfriend won't let me leave the house.

Mia pouted sadly.
Kai: That's why I told you to leave him and marry me

Albus chuckled at hearing Kai. Mia looked at Albus.
Mia: Well at least there's someone who wants to marry me
She sighed.

Albus: Marriage isn't that important to me, Mia. You know why I don't want to marry you

Kai looked at the two not understanding what they were actually trying to say.

Albus: Moreover, today you're pregnant because of my hard work

Kai: Hard work?

Mia: Al!

Jessica watched her son talking with Mia and Albus. She was wearing a golden rhinestoned slit dress. The neckline was too deep, almost revealing her cleavage. Her hair was let down.
She looked at Maverick who was talking to some other people. He was looking the best there. He wore a suit, and his dark hair was set with a few bangs on his forehead.

Penelope was with Harry. Daniel, Alex, and Pamela were nowhere to be seen in the hall.

Ashley: Happy Anniversary Jess!
Ryan was standing behind her. Ashley hugged Jessica and congratulated her.

Ashley: I'm sorry, Jessica. I somehow managed to gift you this. I hope you'll like it.

She handed Jessica her gift.
Jessica: Ashley, there was no need for this. Seriously, stop being too humble.

Ashley: Open it!

Jessica opened the gift. It was a snow globe with Jessica & Maverick beautifully carved on the base of the globe.

Ashley: I remember when you told me that you love snow globes but you don't have the money. I know that you're filthy rich now, but still...

Jessica smiled at her. She hugged her.
Jessica: Thank you so much! I love it, Ashley.

Ryan: Well don't expect any gift from me.

Jessica: You see this. That's enough.

Jessica pointed at the pendant she was wearing. It was the same one Ryan had gifted her years ago on her birthday night. Jessica had never removed that. Nor the one which Maverick had gifted her.

Daniel and Pamela were drinking just outside the hall.

Pamela: Why is this man always late?

Daniel: Oh don't worry. Alex will come soon. Paul, come join us.

Pamela: I'm still wondering who the traitor is.

Daniel: Well, we cannot trust anyone now. Titans was our enemy. I know Jessica believes them, but still, there's no guarantee.

Paul: I agree with Boss. No one can be trusted.

Pamela: What about you, Paul? How can we trust you? I think the traitor is you.

Daniel grinned at her remark.
Paul: Me? No, Pam. I would never. What if... You're the one who's behind all these?

Daniel stopped grinning and glared at Paul who was snickering.

Daniel: Don't you dare to question Pamela's loyalty. Pamela is loyalty, loyalty is Pamela.

Pamela: Thank you, Dan.

Paul mouthed a sorry but kept smiling. Behind that smile was hidden jealousy. He was so close to Daniel, yet he didn't get what he deserved.

Jessica: I've something to say

Maverick sipped his wine.
Jessica: Let's legalize everything. I don't want Kai to face those which we've faced.

Maverick nodded.
Jessica: I can't picture him holding a gun

Mark: I don't agree with that. He's born into a Mafia family. The Gun is a part of of his life. But yeah, I don't think he'll ever need to use it

Jessica: Yeah. We'd finish our enemies off way before.
The two smirked and clicked their wine glasses.

Ian: Happy Anniversary Jessica!

Jessica: Thank you. Where's Laura?

Ian: Well, she isn't well. She wanted to come but I told her not to

Jessica: Oh! It's okay!

Ian: I heard about Alex. And Poison Ivy threatening you

Jessica: Yeah. I'm worried about Kai

Ian: Don't worry. Nothing will happen to Kai. I'm always by your side
That's a lie...

Jessica: What happened to Enrique and Sophia? They're never late

Ian: Well...

Jessica understood something and excused herself.

Pamela: I'm fortunate that you actually came.

Daniel: Your girl was literally crying, Alex

Pamela: What? No!

Alex laughed.
Alex: Now, let's go inside.

The unbreakable couple who were enjoying themselves, being in love with each other a few minutes ago, stood and looked at each other as if they were enemies.

Jessica: Is it true?

Maverick didn't say anything. He let Jessica vocalize her issues.

Jessica: Are Sophia and Enrique in the detention center?

Maverick sipped from his pocket wine.
Mark: Oh! So you came to know about it. 

Jessica: And you didn't even tell me?

Mark: It should not concern you what I do.

Maverick didn't show any emotion. He bluntly said that. Jessica was getting pissed off by his actions. She stepped closer and looked dead in the eye.
Not many could do that.

Jessica: I built more than half of the shit you own, Maverick Williams. I can demolish your empire in a second if I wish. Do not cross your limits. Do not step over me or my men who had been loyal to me since the beginning.

Maverick stepped closer to her. There was barely an inch between them. Jessica didn't step back.

Mark: And I do not entertain any relationship that threatens the safety of my son and my family, Jessica Kennedy.

Jessica took something out of her purse and shoved it into Maverick's pocket. It was a USB drive.

Jessica: Well then you should know that Paul Miller met Liam Lopez last week. You can check the footage I have given you. They met in an abandoned building in Texas.

Maverick squinted his eyes.

Jessica: Daniel shares everything with him.

Mark: How did you find it out?

Jessica: It shouldn't concern you what I do, right?

Maverick knew that his wife was pissed off.

Jessica: When you're busy wasting your time and arresting innocent people, I got the actual shit done!

Mark: I'm asking again. How did you find it out?

Jessica: And my answer is the same.

Jessica walked past him with a b¡tch face.

One thing Maverick could guess was that Jessica has contacts with some people.

She was playing with fire and the flames are hot and dangerous.
This can eventually harm her...
