Chapter 42: The Final Battle and Farewell

*Time Skip*

The battle for the multiverse had been long and grueling, but it was finally over. The Time Freezer had been captured, his reign of chaos halted by the combined efforts of Kei, Ignis, Teri, and the various heroes and anti-heroes who had answered the call. The threat had been neutralized, but at what cost?

As the dust settled over Gotham, Kei, Ignis, and Teri stood side by side, gazing out at the horizon. The battle had been fierce, but there was a sense of relief now, the world breathing easier. The heroes who had fought alongside them began to disperse, each heading back to their respective universes.

Saying Goodbye

Kei turned to Teri, her expression softening. "I never thought we'd get through this. But we did. You were amazing out there."

Teri, offering a rare smile, placed a hand on her shoulder. "We always are, Kei. But remember, there's more out there. More battles to fight, more truths to uncover."

Kei nodded, then turned to Ignis, who was already giving her a smirk. "Yeah, I guess you're right. But for now... I'm just happy to have made it through."

Ignis, raising an eyebrow: "You always have that look when the fighting's over. You going to miss it?"

Kei, laughing softly: "Maybe just a little."

As the two warriors shared a quiet moment, a voice suddenly broke through the peace.

"Kei!"

They both turned to see Super-Man flying toward them, his cape billowing behind him. His expression was serious, but there was a familiar warmth in his eyes.

"Kei, could I speak to you for a moment? Alone?"

Kei's brows furrowed in curiosity, but she nodded. "Sure, what's up?"

Super-Man gestured toward the distance, his tone casual yet slightly tinged with excitement. "I wanted to talk about the battle... but I was hoping we could continue our sparring match. Just you and me, no distractions. A little one-on-one. What do you say?"

Kei hesitated for a moment, then grinned. "You really think you can keep up?"

Super-Man smiled back, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "I'll let you decide when we get there. Meet me at the wasteland, just a few miles from here. I'll be waiting."

Kei, without missing a beat, nodded. "Alright, I'll see you there."

The Secret Watcher

But as Kei and Super-Man prepared to part ways, Ignis stood hidden behind a nearby building, her sharp eyes following every move. She had heard everything.

Her lips curled into a mischievous smile, an idea forming in her mind. The thought of Kei and Super-Man sparring alone didn't sit well with her. After all, she was no stranger to competition—and she wasn't about to let Super-Man have all the fun.

The Final Sparring Match

The wasteland stretched before them, a desolate expanse of cracked earth and swirling dust. Super-Man stood at the ready, his fists clenched and a determined look in his eyes.

Kei, adjusting her stance, grinned. "This is your last chance to back out."

Super-Man smirked, lifting off the ground. "I'll take my chances."

In a flash, they were off—two forces of nature colliding in the sky. The impact sent shockwaves across the wasteland as they exchanged blows, their movements a blur of speed and power. The ground trembled beneath them as Kei's energy flared, her ethereal blue aura lighting up the dark sky, while Super-Man's strength shook the air with every punch.

They pushed each other to the limit, testing their strength, agility, and resolve. But just as Kei was about to land a decisive blow, she heard a familiar voice.

Ignis, from a distance, her grin wide: "You didn't think I'd let you two have all the fun, did you?"

Kei and Super-Man both paused, turning toward the sound of the voice. Ignis stood, flames dancing around her form, her excitement palpable.

"Ignis," Kei said, raising an eyebrow. "I should've known."

Super-Man chuckled. "Looks like we've got ourselves a full-fledged free-for-all."

Without another word, the three warriors went into their fighting stances, smirks on their faces. The final match had begun.

The Final Showdown

The three of them launched into the air, a blur of energy and raw power. Kei's magic swirled around her, a perfect balance of grace and destruction. Ignis's flames burned with an intensity that matched her fiery spirit, while Super-Man's strength and speed were unmatched.

They fought like no one else could—pushing each other to their absolute limits, the wasteland around them becoming a battleground of energy and force. Each punch, each blast of power, was a testament to their strength, and yet, the joy of battle was evident in their eyes.

As they clashed once more, the fight seemed endless—a celebration of everything they had been through, a final test of their power and friendship.

The End?

With a final exchange of energy, the three stopped in mid-air, hovering in a moment of shared silence. They looked at one another, the tension in the air thick with unspoken respect.

Kei, smiling, wiped a small cut from her lip. "You know, I think we might just be evenly matched."

Ignis, grinning: "Don't count me out just yet."

Super-Man, smirking: "Well, I'll let you both have the last word, but this match isn't over."

As they floated there, the sky above them rippling with the aftereffects of their clash, a message flashed across the horizon:
