Sameer and Naina were married for 3 years now and made got their transfer in Pune from Agartala. They were living a very happy and content life.

At around 7:30 PM, the meeting was over and he headed back home. Till now, he hadn't got any message or call from Naina. He assumed that she was done and back home preparing his favorite Malai kofte. When he reached home, he saw the lock on the door was intact.

After unlocking the house, he called her but didn't get any reply. He messaged her that if she needs any help then he will come.
Keeping his phone aside, he went to get changed and showered. Exiting from the shower, he expected her to shout his name saying she is home and make his special coffee for her but there wasn't any such activity. He checked his phone and there were no messages too.
His heart started to beat faster and he got really worried. He decided to go out and check upon the stores she generally went to.

But before he could go, he thought of trying her phone once again. And this time the call didn't go unanswered.

Hello Naina! Kahan ho yaar? Itni der kahan lag gayi tumhe? Woh chodo yeh batao ki kahan ho main aa raha hun tumhe lene!!....Sameer said in monotonous pitch exhaling a relief.

Woh aagai se right jaake sidha, burnt care ward hai wahan hai doctors ke saath....the receptionist informed him.

He didn't wait to thank her or listen what more she had to say. He ran through the directions the lady said and landed infront of the ward. His heart was drumming against his chest as he heard a scream. He thought it was Naina's. He took baby steps into the ward and walked up to the last corner were there were few doctors. He stood near the foot of the bed and saw the person.
It was her only! The screams were of Naina's only! Her face had turned blue and red, she was screaming on the top of her voice.

Nainaaaa! Nainaaa!....he tried to reach her but one of the nurses stopped him and told him to stand there and watch from there only.
One ward boy was putting ice cold water on her face and she was screaming. He wanted to go to her and hug her tightly and take away all of her pain. But all he could do was stand there and watch her in pain from far.

A nurse injected anesthesia to her and she fell asleep. The doctor turned around and found Sameer standing, he asked him; Ji aap koun?

Naina was lying on the bed lifelessly with broken skin on one side of her face. The flesh was visible which had clotted blood at some places. Some pipes were attached at the back of her hand and some with her nostrils. Not even in his nightmares did imagine seeing his love of his life in a hospital bed in this condition. He had tears rolling down his cheeks and felt a pain in his heart.

Ji, woh Natraj Market ke aagai jo chota jungle hai wahan. Jab hum unke pass pahunche tab unke sharir ke kapde phate mile aur woh cheekh rahi thi. Unke chehre ki jalan dekh humne unka face wash karwa diya aur yahan aa le aaye unhe.
Yeh unka purse aur mobile....the lady informed him and handed Naina's belongings to Sameer.

Maheshwari ji, jab aapki wife ko hosh aaye tab hume inform kar dijiyega, hum aake unka statement le jayenge aur jald se jald un hewaanon ko dhundhne ki koshish karenge...the inspector informed him before leaving.

Sameer went to sit near the OT and wait till the operation is finished and doctor tells him about Naina's condition. He was constantly cursing himself for leaving Naina alone to the market. He blamed himself for condition and considered him as a failure as a husband and as a lover. He couldn't protect her from the demons.

He felt a hand on his shoulder and saw Punit sitting next him.

SEVEN YEARS AGO, AHEMDABAD

Sameer in white T-shirt with black jacket and jeans wearing black sunglasses was riding on his bike to the college. Today was his first day of college. He was really excited about making new friends and meeting new people and experiencing new things. He parked his bike and turned back to walk into the building when a girl riding a black scooty skidded infront of him. He ran to help her, she was wearing a powder blue color long shirt with a navy blue jacket and jeans. She was fair and had hour glass figure. She had black eyes highlighted with kajal. Waise mera naam, Sameer Maheshwari hai... Sameer forwarded his hand for a handshake.

As time passed by Sameer and Naina's friendship started to get stronger and made few more friends; Munna (aka Manoj), Pandit (aka Raghav), Preeti and Swati. Within a month's time, Swamun and Preedit were a thing leaving Samaina as single souls.
One day, Sameer was dropping Naina to her hostel when he asked her about her family.

Ghar mein Papa, Mummy aur Chacha ji aur Chachi ji hai. Main akeli hun Mummy Papa ki aur Chacha ji Chachi ji ki ek beti hai, Pooja. Woh abhi 10th mein hai.

Meri family main mom, dad, chota bhai Rohan, choti behen Deepika aur dadi hai. Meri family wale na thode old fashioned hai jis wajah se mujhe unke saath rehna accha nahi lagta. 8th class se hostel mein reh raha hun....Sameer informed her about his family and there nature.

Mera bhi yehi haal hai. School mein ek bhi ladka dost nahi tha mera issi wajah se. Badi huyi toh socha ki agar ghar se nikali toh 3-4 ladke dost toh banaugi hi banaugi. Aur dekho tum, Munna Pandit mil gaye mujhe... Naina spoke with a grin.

Tum na humesha aissi hi hasti raha karo. Acchi lagti ho, aur tumhari hasi kiska bhi din bana sakti hai itni powerful hai 😘... Sameer praised her smile with extra sweetness.

Sameer felt little bit uneasy, he thought she likes somebody and he isn't paying a heed to her. He felt a pang of jealousy in his system but couldn't put finger on the reason behind it.

Koi toh kare, humesha tum hi karte ho. Naina tum na bahut sundar ho, tumhari aankhein bahut sundar hai, tumhari hasi bahut sundar hai, blah blah.
Tumhare alawa koi hai hi nahi jo itni pyaari tarif karta ho meri.... Naina pouted and complained.

Sameer was relieved to listen that she didn't mean to point out any single boy. In general she said that, he chuckled before replying her lovingly...toh accha hai na! Mere alawa kisko bhi haq nahi tumhari tarif karne ka 😁

Naina smiled at his reply and liked the way he claims his right on her whenever he gets an opportunity. She remembered an incident where the whole group was sitting in a cafe and a group of guys were giving her awkward looks. Sameer noticed the change in her body language and traced the direction she was looking and wounded an arm around her. He stood up along with her and went to the table where those boys were sitting and in affirmative voice told to lower down their dirty gaze and don't dare to look at her with lust or else they won't be able to look at anyone else in their whole life 😡😡

Sameer, ek baat puchu?... Naina innocently asked him.

Haan pucho.... Sameer nodded his head.

Tum humesha mujhe protect karte ho aur mere saath rehte ho. Yeh sab kyun karte ho? Kyunki maine yeh sab tumhe sirf mere liye karte huye dekha hai kisi aur ke liye nahi.... Naina replied with innocence. But deep down in her heart she wanted to hear something else other than the usual "kyunki tum meri sabse acchi dost ho" dialogue. Her heart was racing till she heard his reply.

Sameer stopped the engine of his bike and turned towards her. Smilingly he replied, kyunki tum mere liye bahut special ho. Ab yeh maat puchna kyun? Yeh jawaab tum bhi janti ho aur main bhi.
He restarted the engine and headed towards her hostel. Naina was assured that like her too felt differently about their so-called friendship.
She had thought of knowing his feelings before confessing her's.

Naina Sameer both had realised that they weren't just friends anymore and had strong and deep feelings for each other but didn't confess due to the fear of rejection.
But finally on Sameer's birthday, Naina decided to confess her feeling as it was their last year of college.

In the evening of Sameer's birthday, he had organised a small party for all college friends. So Naina decided to propose him there only. She wore a black midi which perfectly fitted her curves and from her waist was flared. She wore black heels and black earrings. She had little bit of make-up just the kajal and a shade of red as her lipstick. She took her purse and was ready to go.
On the other side, Sameer wore black shirt and black trouser. He had his black watch in his wrist and was waiting for everybody to come especially Naina.

After 25 mins everyone had come except for Naina. Sameer thought maybe she wouldn't come today as she had said that she will be the first one to reach as she is his best friend.

Aa rahi hogi, ladkiyon ko time lagta hai ready hone mein. Tu party enjoy kar.... Sameer gritted his teeth to control his anger and replied him.

After maybe more 5 mins, Naina came into the party. Sameer was left awestruck after seeing her.

Everyone were dancing and enjoying themselves right after the cake cutting, when the lights went off.

Arrey light ko kya hua? Pandit ja jake dekhke aana... Sameer asked Pandit to check.

Pandit nodded and was about go when a spotlight fell on a corner of the place. Naina was sitting there and lifted her head up as light fell on her. She walked towards Sameer and stopped infront of him. She smiled at him and kneeled down on one knee.

Sameer, I am in love. I'm in love with the most handsome and sensible man in this world. I'm in love with a man who cares for me the most and praises me the most. I'm in love with a man for whom I'm the most beautiful girl existing.

Sameer hadn't been this happy before, he lifted Naina up and twirled, I love you too! I love you too Naina 😘😘 and he kissed her.

When he let her stand on her feet, she wrapped her arms around him and dug her face in the crook of his neck.

The rest hooted and congratulated them. Smilingly, both of them roamed the whole evening hand in hand and held each other close by keeping their arms around each other.

Sameer nodded and looked towards the door of OT and the light above it, hoping it to turn from red to green really soon.
Sameer went to the temple of the hospital and prayed for Naina. Something struck him and he made various phone calls.
Maybe after 15 mins, he came in the waiting area and sat down with Punit and Avantika, when the doors of OT opened and doctor came out.

Doctor, meri wife..... Sameer ran to him and asked about Naina.

Come with me Mr. Maheshwari..... Doctor took Sameer along with him to his cabin.

Dekhiye Mr. Maheshwari, as I had said aapki wife ne chehra haat diya tha is wajah se jyada damage nahi hua hai. So, isliye aur 3 operations karne hai. 2 face ke aur 1 unka ear rebuild karne ke liye.

Main aapko dressing aur medicine kaise lagana hai uska demonstration de dunga.
Now coming to the actual point, aaj se unka yeh chehra aur jo chehra aagai ke 2 operation ke baad hone wale hai wohi permanent hone wala hai. U have to make sure ki woh apna purana facial feature na dekhe aur apna current chehra bhi for few days. Agar dekh li toh shayad aur jyada trauma mein chali jayengi.
Aur haan, operation ke baad humari gynaecologist, Mrs. Hina se maine Naina ji ka check up karwa hai, rape ke baad kuch harm nahi pahuncha hai unhe, rapists ne precautions liye the. From now onwards, unki recovery ka zimma aapke haathon mein hai.

Okay doctor, kya main abhi uske pass ja sakta hun please?.... Sameer asked if he could go to Naina as he was desperate to be there with her when she opens her eyes.

Ya, sure. Aap unke saath abhi pura time reh sakte hai. Aur thodi der main police inspector aayenge Mrs. Maheshwari se unka statement lene, at that time she would need you the most I guess.... Doctor took Sameer to Naina's ward and left him alone with her.
Sameer walked to the bed where Naina was sleeping. She had bandages on her face and hands. She had the same pipe inside her nostrils and at the back of her hand. Sameer kissed her forehead and a lone tear fell down from the corner of his eyes. He sat next to her, holding her hand firm. He was caressing her head with the other hand and was looking at her.

After sometime, Naina opened her eyes and registered her surroundings. It took her sometime to think about what happened to her. She saw her hand were entangled with someone's hand and saw it belonged to Sameer.
He had fallen asleep on the chair with her hand in his and his head rested on the bed. With her free hand, she touched his head. Feeling some touch in his head, Sameer lifted his head and saw Naina looking at him with teary eyes. He stood up, made her sit and hugged her. Naina hugged him back and let her tears fall.

Sameer, bahut dard ho raha hai mujhe!!.... Naina broke down in his arms.

Sshhhh, jaan ro maat. Main hun na abhi koi tumhe dard nahi dega.... Sameer hugged her little more tightly and kissed her head.

Sameer, woh log wapas nahi aayenge na. Mujhe bahut ganda feel ho raha hai. Please mujhe ghar le chalo apne saath, mujhe nahi rehna yahan. Ghar chalo Sameer!..... Naina was damn scared and was trembling in his arms. Sameer was really worried seeing Naina in so much fear.

Jayenge baccha, bas ek baar Police inspector ko aa jaane do phir ghar jayenge..... Sameer made her look him and kissed her forehead. Naina wasn't ready to leave him and sat hugging him like that. Sameer called the police inspector and informed him that Naina has gained her consciousness and can give her statement.

Sameer, tum mere pass rehna jab Police aayegi. Mujhe kisi aur ko paas nahi jaana. Please mujhse dur maat jaana.... Naina dug her face in his chest.

Nahi jaunga Naina, main yahin hoon tumhare paas. Aur inspector jab yahan honge tab bhi. Main mere alawa kisko tumhare paas nahi aane dunga, Promise.... Sameer weaved his fingers in her hair and rubbed her back.

The police inspector came and sat across Naina's bed.

Maine bahut koshish ki khudko chudwane ki par nahi chhut payi. Mujhe wahan leke mere saath 😢 ..... Naina stopped speaking and shed some tears. Sameer held her close to him and nodded at her to speak further and assured that he is there with her.
Phir jab hosh aaya toh main yahan thi aur Sameer mere pass the....Naina picked up from where she had left.

Sameer locked the door and put the curtains of the window. The room was dimly lighted and he changed Naina into a buttoned loose kurta and palazzo from the hospital gown. After changing her clothes, he pulled the curtains and unlocked the door. He brushed her hair and tied it into a simple braid. He helped her get down the bed and held her waist to give her support while walking. He picked up the bag with her prescription and reports and walked her out of the hospital. Carefully making her seat on the passenger seat, he went to the driver's seat and started to drive.
After a drive of 45 mins, they came infront of a small white bungalow, it was of three floors and had a lawn. Sameer pulled the car in the driveway and helped Naina come out of the car. Naina was perplexed to see them come here as it wasn't there home.

Sameer yeh hum kahan aa gaye hai?... Naina looked towards Sameer and asked him.

Yeh humara ghar hai Naina. Tum yahi soch rahi ho na ki kaise? Sameer lovingly held her hand and took her to the main door.
The nameplate had Naina Sameer Maheshwari written on it seeing it Naina had happy tears in her eyes and gripped him tighter. Sameer unlocked the door and brought Naina inside the house and made her sit on the sofa in the hall.

Naina went to the room which Sameer asked her to go. The room had a king size bed at the centre and a balcony opposite to the wall of wardrobes. There were two doors near the wardrobe, guessing one of the bathroom and the other of the dressing room. The wall opposite to the bed had pictures of Samaina.
Naina chuckled seeing the photos and went to get a new set of clothes for herself. After bringing a white kurti and white dhoti pants she went to the washroom. When she saw her face in the mirror, she screamed

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Saaaaaammmmmmmmmeeeeeeeerrrrrr!!!!

When Sameer heard her screaming, he ran to the room and saw her sitting on the bathroom floor and touching her face. He went near her and held her hand refraining her from touching her freshly operated burnt skin.

Sa...Sam... Sameer yeh mera chehra. Mere chehre ko kya hua? Bolo na Sameer!!.... Naina was shocked to see her face half burnt and was scared.

Sameer applied the ointment on her face and changed her clothes. He combed her hair and tied them in a loose ponytail. He made her wear her mangalasutra and filled her hairline with sindoor.

Hmm, ab lag rahi ho tum meri Naina jaisi 😘😘... Sameer adored her and hugged her from back and rested his chin on top of her head.

Naina gave a faint smile which made Sameer's heart ache as he was a fan of her million dollar smile but couldn't blame her too as no matter he says, it's difficult to forget the incidence so quick. Even he could still feel the tremors due to the news which was broke by Punit about Naina few hours ago. Till now his heart was beating rapidly.

Ek kaam karta hun, aloo parathe bana deta hun, tab tak tum TV dekhna.... Sameer helped Naina till the hall and switched on the TV for her and went to prepare aloo parathe.
Naina was scanning through the TV channels when she stopped in a news channel.

"Bharat ki jani mani IT company Infotech ki Pune branch ki ek mahila karmchari ka kal raat 8 baje nirmamm tarike se balatkaar hua aur unke chehre par tezab pheka gaya. Sutro ke mutabik mahila ka naam Naina Sameer Maheshwari tha."

" Hum abhi Naina Maheswari aur unke pati Sameer Maheshwari ke apartment ke neeche khade hai. Yahan ke logo ka kehna hai ki woh log kal shaam se yahan aaye hi nahi hai.

"Arrey aaj kal ke ladko ko sundar ladkiyan pasand hai. Dekha ki biwi ka chehra aur charitra dono kharab hogaya hai, toh chodke chala gaya hoga."

"Kya sach mein Sameer Maheshwari ne apni patni Naina Maheswari ka saath chodiya hai! Agar nahi, toh kahan hai woh"

Sameer's blood boiled listening what nonsense the reporters and the people were speaking over National Television. He saw the condition of Naina after watching TV and sat next to her, holding her close and kissed her head after switching off the TV.

Accha yeh sab chodo, dekho main aloo parathe laya hun. Taste karke batao kaisa bana hai?... Sameer handed her the plate of aloo parathe.

Ammm, yummy! Tum na mujhse bahut jhooth bolte ho. Tumne kaha tha ki tumhe khana banana aata nahi hai aur dekho kitne acche parathe banaya hai.... Naina licked her lips and joined her thumb and forefinger to make a sign of very nice.

Sameer chuckled and they continued eating.

After one week, it was time for Naina's second operation. Naina was damn nervous and didn't leave Sameer for one second. When they reached hospital, he saw many reporters were waiting outside. Naina got scared seeing them and clutched Sameer's shirt sleeves.

Daaro maat Naina, main hun na tumhare saath... Sameer smiled at her and kissed her forehead.
He turned the engine off and came out of the car and brought Naina out too. They walked past the reporters by dodging them. Sameer took Naina to the doctor's cabin and made her sit.

Thik hai Mrs. Maheshwari, aapke husband bhi honge humare saath. Mr. Maheshwari aapke liye mein gown aur mask bhejta hun.... Doctor interrupted Sameer before he spoke something.

After Naina was taken into OT, doctor told him and after anaesthesia is given to Naina, he can leave and before she gains her consciousness he would be brought in the room again.
When Sameer was out of the OT after Naina was given anaesthesia, he was going to the car to get food for Naina when the reporters stopped him.

When Naina opened her eyes, she found Sameer sitting on the side chair. He smiled that her and gave her a flying kisses.

After the surgery was done, Sameer fed Naina her khichdi and vegetable soup. They left for home after few more check up by Doctor and they gave them the date for the third surgery after 2 weeks. When they reached home, the lights were off.

Sameer, humne toh hall ki lights on rakhi thi na, toh yeh bandh kyun hai?.... Naina panicked and held his hand in a tight grip.

Shayad, current chala gaya hai. Aao dekhte hai... Sameer held her hand and went inside.

As they stepped inside, the lights were turned on and Swamun and Preedit jumped out shouting Surprise! Naina was shocked to see the gang and turned to see Sameer. Sameer smiled at her and hugged from back and whispered Happy Birthday in her ears.
Naina looked back at him and he nodded.

Saat saal mein kabhi bhi bhula hun?... Sameer asked her raising his brows.

Maine inhe last week call karke bula liya aur yeh surprise plan kiya.... Sameer grinned at Naina and gave her a packet. It had a red and golden saree, Swati and Preeti helped her to a room and got her ready for the surprise party that they all had planned.
When Naina came out of the room, Sameer's heart missed a beat. He felt the same fluttering that he had felt the day he had met with Naina for the first time.

After the vows, Sameer filled Naina's hairline with sindoor and tied the mangalasutra around her neck. He kissed her forehead and hairline. Their friends came congratulating them and Maheswari and Agrawal family went away as their plan got unsuccessful.

Meri promotion ruk gayi Naina ke wajah se actually Sameer ke wajah se kyunki meeting mein Sameer ne Naina ka naam liya tha..... Karthik explained his side.

As per Naina's wish, Aryan and Vishal were released from the custody and Karthik and Priyank were imprisoned till the court's date came. The court's date was set after 3 months. But the lawyers of Karthik and Priyank were successful in defending them. They got two more dates till the last date when the final verdict came.
Seeing all the evidences collected by Naina's lawyer and the statements given by Aryan, Vishal and their common friend proved that Karthik and Priyank were guilty. The judge announced an imprisonment for 10 years followed by hanging till death.

When Sameer Naina and their lawyer came out of the court, news reporter surrounded them.

In 12 mahino mein sabse jyaada jalte huye maine Sameer ko dekha hai. Duniya se ladhte dekha hai inhe meri izzat ke liye. Main bhagwan se yahin prarthna karti hun ki har aurat ke jeevan mein inke jaisa humsafar mile.

The media person asked some more questions and clicked some pictures of Samaina. After the press meet Samaina went back home and lived their life peacefully for the rest of their life.
